  1. You’re not wrong. I constantly ask myself what I’m doing pouring so many thousands of hours into such easy repetitive gaming. But so far my brain has continued to choose easy dopamine over anything meaningful.
  2. SR tanks are basically invincible once fully slotted and forced down to 20% HP. >45% defense, 90% resistance, 95% DDR, plus whatever regen/HP bonuses you can string together... leaves very little to chance.
  3. Lots of people here have voiced opposition and made compelling arguments explaining why it would make the game easier. Hard no vote.
  4. Why would anyone need binds or macros to use insps. Try your left mouse button FFS 🙂 (and right mouse button -> C -> 1-8 to combine). As DreadShinobi said: as fundamental to gameplay as enhancements, introduced in the tutorial.
  5. The game has basically become far too easy and speedy for such tactics to be necessary. I can’t speak for lowbie content, but, in the endgame, if immobilizes are slowing you down... it’s not the immobilize’s fault. Every level 50 team should be shredding 54 mobs like they’re nothing, even if one particular player isn’t able to hit every baddie with his AoE’s. If someone complains about controls on a level 50 team, best thing to do is look at all the enemy bodies that just instantaneously fell dead and shrug.
  6. I think we can immediately rule out that coming from someone who doesn’t think this game’s hardest content can be done without Frozen Armor or Scorpion Shield.
  7. It’s impossible that I’m wrong in this case because res shields do work. If they didn’t, dozens of my toons wouldn’t function, and that clearly isn’t the case. I guess that makes you wrong 😄 And yes, number of 50’s is irrelevant. But considering you’re claiming something doesn’t work that I’ve made work countless times, it seemed like pertinent data at the time.

  10. I’ve established that APP/PPP res shields work more or less as well as def shields after my first 88 level 50’s on HC, so let’s remember to tag our opinions as opinions 😉
  11. Everything but the animation is great. It has a high proc rate and can slot Force Feedback, Annihilation, and up to 4 damage procs. That doesn’t sound bad to me. I use it on blasters that need extra pure AoE’s, like my Dark blaster.
  12. Not making me shelf, but Staff’s Breakdance PBAoE attack kept me from making a character with the set for a long time.

  14. I don’t think comments like this come from a place of understanding the term “power creep”. Creep specifically refers to slow and incremental change in one general direction. A change isn’t power creep because it’s game breaking; changes create power creep when people ask “it’s just a small buff, why not?” hundreds of times.

  17. The fact that he mentions radios multiple times does support the possibility that he’s not availing himself of all the options. Also, AE has very specific penalties since it’s so easy to game a system you can design yourself. So it makes sense that moving player creations into the city would be a hard no from a balance perspective.
  18. Depends on the power I guess. I keep SS on always, Fly on except for end-unrelated tactical reasons, and usually SJ off.

  20. It’s there to give you a survival bump in a pinch. Neither powers nor procs need to go off every 10 seconds to be useful.
  21. Countless times and still think there are a few leaders that are over the top and just plain not fun to play with. Will not do MSR at all on certain servers any more.
  22. I think it’s reasonable that they don’t want inherent junk muling several powerful IO’s. Letting people slot Preventive Medicine in Rest and Blessing of the Zephyr in Sprint/Swift/Hurdle would be akin to giving nearly every character a handful of additional free slots. Considering that would constitute a power creep solution in search of a non-existent problem, I’d prefer the status quo.
