  1. Completely obliterating a power >70% of users take as is.. I’m pretty doubtful that’s on the table.
  2. They haven’t taken away anything you have. They aren’t telling you you can’t play the new content. They’re just doing something to appeal to the large group of players that acknowledge the need for more difficult content. Is that so wrong?

    My favorite part of SR is that it’s the least enhancement slot heavy set in the game. You can 3 slot the toggles, 1 slot the autos, and you’re done with your primary after a whopping 6 extra slots invested. My SR/BS was so wide open that I 5 slotted both Brawl AND Boxing with purples just as set mules. That’s unprecedented based on any other character I have. And I have lots!

    My two SR tanks basically took this approach: Your defenses are capped and your DDR is capped. Resistances/HP/regen are how you’re going to get invincible. Scaling resistances will give you 60% res (do I have that right?) at 0% HP, but you want to cap your resistances sooner than that. What you want to build for, IMO, is enough resistance that you cap at 90% around, say, 20% HP. And then on top of that, I try to work in the +regen procs among other things. Basically if you get your capped resistances early enough (not at like 5% HP), you ought to be basically invincible outside of the psi res hole. My SR tanker can probably AFK-survive a wider variety of situations than most of my other tankers.

  8. Yeah I prefer to just detoggle a couple things like leadership toggles if I ever exemplar, rather than trying to build everything to work below 50 (because I rarely exemplar). I may be reliant on Ageless for my full build, but you rarely need a full build for lower level content anyways. Top performance at level 50 is my main concern. As for at level 50, Ageless will never not be enough. At least it’s never failed me yet.
  9. Willpower is the most obvious answer since you can reasonably expect to log in with your toggles on, never click a damn thing your entire session, and have basically everything neatly taken care of.
  10. If you’re a tanker, you should usually have enough mitigation to out-regenerate most threats automatically unless you’re using a click-reliant set like Bio or Rad. If you’re an invuln or SR tanker and you find yourself needing more mitigation often, it’s your build that needs work. The fact that you think you need heals just tells me you haven’t gotten good enough mitigation yet. My SR tankers have capped defense, capped DDR, capped resistances once at low health, and higher than normal HP and regen. I don’t need heals because enemies just plain don’t hurt me faster than I regenerate once I’ve got scaled resistances kicking in. Endurance on the other hand is a major pickle. You can beat it without Ageless, but, in most circumstances, why bother? I’d just take Ageless anyway because you shouldn’t need any other Destiny on most tanks and Ageless boosts your offense. And submitting to relying on Ageless for endurance frees you up to focus more of your IO’s on offense. Most of my tankers have Ageless. Even the ones with good endurance tend to go Ageless - just Ageless Radial for the DDR if they’re already good on end. My WP tank and my Ice tank have Ageless Radial, for instance. I have a completed tanker with every primary plus 2 Darks and 2 SR’s. They’re all good enough for me. HMU about any of them 🙂
  11. What are you hoping to be wrong about? VEATs having end issues before 50? That describes like most characters in this game, so I don’t really see the point.

  13. The incarnate system has mostly asymmetrical conversions. Look how many threads you get for a Notice of the Well, and then look at how much you have to do to craft a Notice of the Well. Look at how much you need to craft a rare component with threads, and you’ll see more than 160 threads of investment (using 160 because that would create 8 emp merits under the proposal). So it is clearly designed not to be symmetrical.

  15. That would be nice 🙂 Easiest non-intrusive option could be to have a little tiny “i” button (info icon) next to each character that just loads up their in game info tab, if that’s possible.
  16. I don’t think partitioning our already tiny server communities is justified just because a small contingent of fussy people are unable to bear sharing their LFG channel with people interested in different types of groups - even if they have significant contempt for said people.
  17. With zero trials whatsoever (/fire brutes), I don’t seem to wrap it up until like the 40’s. With numerous trials and decent drops I’ve made it there in the mid teens. Of course you could be done at like vet level 1 (however long it takes to unlock Hybrid) if you’re using emailed empyreans, but pretty sure the OP doesn’t seem interested in that.

  19. Yeah see hyperbole is hard to take seriously. Not even mentioning Poison Trap is just signaling that you don’t know how to play the set. Traps is in a good place overall. Web Grenade and Time Bomb need something. That’s mainly it. Traps doesn’t even need to be more mobile. It does well enough within its unique niche. I’m starting to talk myself into making a 3rd Traps.
  20. Neither do I. I don’t like the soft cap meta, 20-30% def plus moar procs and I’m happier. I find TW and Claws both a little on the boring side. Etc. But the level 50+ game is just that simple, unless you’re on an 801.whatever or a MoMag or something.
  21. I think losing a smidge of recharge would be fine in exchange for 20-30% worth of end red.
  22. Its tick rate is much faster than any actual KD patch - between that and the damage, it becomes wayyy better than Ice Slick or Earthquake once you slot KB->KD. Though, even so, it’s probably only really all that overpowered in practice on blasters. But don’t take my word for it. I’m just waiting to see it come up in future patch notes.
