  1. 1. Done to death. Will have 50 #89 tonight. Only a tiny handful of powersets left that I don’t have yet. Force Field, like 3 melee sets, a few of the dom secondaries and MM primaries. I have dozens of unconventional characters. 2-6. meh I’m currently doing a “completionist” thing. Like I’d played every armor set, but only just finished specifically getting a tanker with every armor set. Have a couple blast sets I haven’t played specifically as a blaster too so working on that a bit. This Earth Dom I’m building will mean all control sets have been to 50 at least once (though half of them have already been there 3-4 times).
  2. I’m pretty sure most of my characters run 8-12 toggles. Widows probably come out better than most, in fact, since they get cheaper versions of leadership toggles and have very little need for the pool versions. And look at how tiny those individual toggle costs are!
  3. Both are great Spirit Ward is better for pet classes as no tanker should really need it. Idk if I’d use it on a /Storm except as a Preventive Medicine mule. Arcane Bolt can either be a great situational heavy hitter (recommended use) or an average regular attack.
  4. This. If “well it’s hard to get use out of it when everything is dead in 2 seconds” is your argument, well I don’t see much of a problem there. Your XP bar, HP bar, etc sure don’t take issue with that “problem”. Also, I remain unconvinced that its effects are actually weak.
  5. Current status quo, in summary, is: Tankers don’t do quite as much damage as Brutes still, but they’re far far closer to Brute damage than Brutes are to Tanker mitigation.
  6. Not shelve them, but, like, for instance, if my fire brute can endlessly produce emp merits, it’s reasonable to assume that might lead to some players engaging in fewer itrials, no? I just don’t think there needs to be further incentive to consolidate more of the game around farming, which is by far the area that would benefit most from this.
  7. No vote from me. This would make players more able to finish their characters by simply playing only their /fire brutes, potentially reducing the already tiny population one can play with. But yeah, as someone with north of 2K vet levels on /fire brutes, it’s tempting.
  8. Not seeing it.. none of my trappers skip it because it’s an easy survivability boost and can even stack. Is there any data behind the parenthetical assumption in the thread title?
  9. Your original claim was that no APP/PPP but Ice or Mace “works”. You have yet to support this position that anyone with a different epic pool is on a non-working toon. If you would like to support your claim, do so. I’m not interested in reading any more of your belittling commentary if you refuse to engage in the debate you started with your own bizarre comment.
  10. I get it. Reminds me of a power from ESO (“Dark Equilibrium” i think?) thay converted health to magicka. Definitely would be a cool niche to have around. Not gonna commit to blood armor but I support your proposal in general terms 🙂
  11. You’re not wrong. I constantly ask myself what I’m doing pouring so many thousands of hours into such easy repetitive gaming. But so far my brain has continued to choose easy dopamine over anything meaningful.
  12. SR tanks are basically invincible once fully slotted and forced down to 20% HP. >45% defense, 90% resistance, 95% DDR, plus whatever regen/HP bonuses you can string together... leaves very little to chance.
  13. Lots of people here have voiced opposition and made compelling arguments explaining why it would make the game easier. Hard no vote.
  14. Why would anyone need binds or macros to use insps. Try your left mouse button FFS 🙂 (and right mouse button -> C -> 1-8 to combine). As DreadShinobi said: as fundamental to gameplay as enhancements, introduced in the tutorial.
  15. The game has basically become far too easy and speedy for such tactics to be necessary. I can’t speak for lowbie content, but, in the endgame, if immobilizes are slowing you down... it’s not the immobilize’s fault. Every level 50 team should be shredding 54 mobs like they’re nothing, even if one particular player isn’t able to hit every baddie with his AoE’s. If someone complains about controls on a level 50 team, best thing to do is look at all the enemy bodies that just instantaneously fell dead and shrug.
  16. I think we can immediately rule out that coming from someone who doesn’t think this game’s hardest content can be done without Frozen Armor or Scorpion Shield.
  17. It’s impossible that I’m wrong in this case because res shields do work. If they didn’t, dozens of my toons wouldn’t function, and that clearly isn’t the case. I guess that makes you wrong 😄 And yes, number of 50’s is irrelevant. But considering you’re claiming something doesn’t work that I’ve made work countless times, it seemed like pertinent data at the time.
  18. Yep. DoT exists. It’s not a problem.
  19. Ok but Infiltration and Combat Jumping absolutely stack...
  20. I’ve established that APP/PPP res shields work more or less as well as def shields after my first 88 level 50’s on HC, so let’s remember to tag our opinions as opinions 😉
  21. Everything but the animation is great. It has a high proc rate and can slot Force Feedback, Annihilation, and up to 4 damage procs. That doesn’t sound bad to me. I use it on blasters that need extra pure AoE’s, like my Dark blaster.
  22. Not making me shelf, but Staff’s Breakdance PBAoE attack kept me from making a character with the set for a long time.
  23. Infiltration is a good power; only the nubs will disagree 🙂
