Your test results don’t mention the impact on gameplay of the Spore Burst buff, the Spirit Tree buff, or the Vines buff. They also imply that Seeds is somehow unsafe even though the target cap was returned to normal. I urge you to do more thorough testing 😁 We hear ya on respecs though. So many to do. What I did this time was I started preparing resources for the changes as soon as the patch went to open beta, and now I’m ready to roll! Give it a try next patch.

The OP may or may not be right. I’d just be pissed if one of the seven powers I take on every single character now (Hasten/SS/CJ/SJ/TP/CT/FS) got nuked from orbit to such an extent that a respec felt necessary. Because that alone would burden me an order of magnitude more than even the current huge page in beta would. But I acknowledge that’s not an actual argument to the developers.

I actually like that there’s one single class of things on the market where the price ranges haven’t been completely flattened by converters. If you want a drop pool to yield a more consistent and predictable reward, isn’t the entire rest of the game already doing that for you?

The creation of Fold Space basically led to the complete abandonment of the Fighting Pool by all of the game’s high end players. So it has extreme opportunity costs as is and requires proper use to not be positively counterproductive. Color me skeptical but maybe I just don’t want to do 63 respecs over your weekend whim. EDIT: 63 is the current number of completed characters with Fold Space but it will shoot up again next week. EDIT 2: also the implication at the end of the OP that a guy with 63 Fold Spacers should just start playing nothing but a Warshade 24/7 and problem solved is big lol.

Although I never run completely solo +4x8 anymore and am pretty sure I am unlikely to experience the full impact of this, this does not sound quite acceptable.

Is it possible that one crowd is simply more cognizant of how the game has always been balanced historically and thus just has realistic expectations? Like I don’t think a side is being favored just because Seeds of Confusion is getting nerfed. The sides aren’t “nerf nothing” vs “nerf everything”. They’re more like “nerf nothing” vs “reality”.

I don’t think anyone expects you to test to verify that a damage reduction exists. The damage reduction is the intended change and not the point. The point of testing is to determine if the changes are too impactful or not impactful enough on overall gameplay. It doesn’t sound like you’ve assessed the actual impact of the changes.

Considering I don’t personally believe a Control set needs to be Fire Blast tier at AoE killing… if fixing the objectively overpowered Seeds and the broken Creeper proc rate is resulting in a clear time increase (not exactly the most important metric for a Control set but okay) but the set gains way more control and mitigation… I’m struggling to see a problem here.

Homecoming not existing would be a pretty big L for many of us. I get that you haven’t liked CoH in years but try to read the room. Some of us actually care about it still. Call me confused about what you hope to accomplish by actively wishing for the game to fail.

Assuming the OP hasn’t been keeping up with the changes. When accounting for the Creepers nerf, the Seeds buff/nerf (did get buffed in some ways), the Tree buff, the Spore buff, the Vines buff, and the Fly Trap buff, it’s obvious the set is getting a net buff.

Does it just need the same accuracy as everything else? I normally build for 95% chance to hit +3 before accuracy enhancements when I can so that wouldn’t be a problem. Or are you saying it has special accuracy concerns like when certain pets and pseudopets don’t inherit your accuracy and tohit values and needs the additional slotting regardless of your stats.
