  1. Peacebringers and Warshades get access to one primary set and one secondary set. They will always be two of the four least played archetypes in the game no matter how popular they are. Why do people make this irrelevant argument as if it means anything? Beyond that annoyance, I too am down for the proposed change.
  2. I regret to inform you that your DPS is not at all “maximized” if you’re soft capping defense. Just kind of how objective reality works
  3. I’m not the one having a meltdown about people expressing dissenting opinions but okay. Have a good one mister sir.
  4. Why would a person be “called out” for “weighing in” in the first place? You sure aren’t saying a damn thing that differentiates your opinion from “people should not be allowed to say things I don’t like”…
  5. Oh right. I understand completely.
  6. Out of curiosity, is telling people what opinions they should and shouldn’t express on this subforum… a variant of gatekeeping?
  7. It appears that your position boils down to “everyone who agrees with me is encouraged to speak and everyone who doesn’t needs to shut up”. I don’t really see any distinction between anything you’ve said and that position. If we’re wrong please enlighten us. On the other note, I agree that gatekeeping doesn’t really exist absent some form of power. If you think the developers are listening to me, you would be out of your mind.
  8. Posters aren’t shooting down requests. Only developers can do that.
  9. I guarantee you the OP has spent far more time typing in this thread than I’ve spent as a Rikti Monkey since 2019.
  10. If Hasten were changed to an auto power, its effects would be significantly reduced. This might break some perma-dom builds, etc. For that reason, I’m out.
  11. It almost never happens. My anecdotal experience is that it’s got to be a ~1% chance. You will be fine.
  12. I vote Ninja. But if you are personally more interested in AoE focus, that’s when you want to look more at Mental. Pros of Ninja: - Sustain may not be a toggle but at least you can put it on auto. Better sustain against hard single targets. - Comes with a power that is Char but better. If you’re like me and consider Char to be mandatory, this fact opens up build options. - Better T9 melee power. Accepts all sorts of procs. Pros of Mental: - Sustain will be stronger *if* you are paying perfect attention to it and getting Drain Psyches off in larger groups. - Higher radius PBAoE attack. All of the other pros/cons are just meaningless distractions compared to these points, IMO. Since you’re pairing with Storm/ (stronger S/T performance than AoE performance), I could see the case for Mental, but both would be fun.
  13. Is it because you’re a lowbie?
  14. I never get Core anymore. Core means it does nothing the second you team with a Kin.
  15. We have no indication that the developers see your position on knockback as a problem. They have repeatedly pointed players to existing solutions every time this dead horse takes a beating.
  16. I am in favor of improvements to pet AI because they really just bring pet performance up to where it should already be. I am personally not a fan of buffing Illusion Control in any other way because Illusion Controllers and Dominators are currently S Tier monsters. I think it takes 2 seconds and a couple million influence to rectify one’s issue with the knockback forever. If @Wavicle actually opposes even AI improvements, I’m sure he will clarify that that is the case.
  17. Can you point to the person who is opposing better AI?
  18. Don’t be ridiculous. It is not gatekeeping to say “Illusion Control is one of the most potent sets in the game so maybe they shouldn’t buff it right now, beyond AI improvements that everyone is in agreement on.”
  19. That’s one hell of an edit! Curious how you thought your original post was a control set though.
  20. I guess I’m not sure why you’re singling out posts from one side and continuing to imply that I’m only running 4 stars and that I’m only functional with a team full of Barriers. As I just said, I survive just fine in pug teams doing non-4 star content with the help of my own Incarnate picks and average inspiration usage, and I’m often the one running ahead and soloing. Is it not normal to assume someone is leveraging their own Incarnate slots and inspirations from kills? Why not mention, for instance, that a lot of soft-cap builds are completely reliant on Cardiac or Ageless to function with 10+ toggles? Why not mention that soft-cap builds are contributing the bare minimum amount of DPS their powersets are capable of? Why not mention that soft-cap players are often not learning how to employ any tactics beyond playing like a Scrapper? Where is all this context you’re asking for?
  21. I for one am enjoying BigBam and would like to encourage him to air the rest of his grievances
  22. If the transformation has a head that is disproportionately small, sure. That way we can still get periodic forum threads about it.
  23. I will admit that I likely can’t solo steamroll +4x8 Carnies on most of my characters, but I think your exaggerations aren’t helpful. I can play on a +4x8 pug team with minimal support and be fine with just one Barrier and just small inspirations earned from average kills, nothing from vendors or the market. You make it sound like we have to go out of our way to cover our asses, and that’s simply not true. Oh and yes, you can do most things either way. But take 8 soft-cap meta toons loaded with Thunderstrikes and Artilleries instead of damage procs and -resistance procs, drop them in an Omega K’ong fight, and they will quite simply fail.
  24. Even so, it’s the comparison between humans and non-humans that’s questionable to me. I keep trying to think of silly examples. Like, it’s like saying that just because I can’t legally defecate on your stuff, we need to start putting birds in prison.
  25. I guess I should clarify that, obviously, if you have 5+ defense powers, it would be best to go ahead and use the proc. Kind of silly not to. The part that’s more optional is bothering to pick that many defense powers in the first place if you have other priorities. For example all of my Tankers are going to have Hasten/SS/CJ/SJ/TP/CTP/Fold Space/Char/Melt Armor/Fire Ball. No room for a 2nd defense power on my Rad/SS after that.
