  3. I know it’s tempting to remove all requirement of having to move or do anything ever. Maybe we should just skip straight to all players being plugged directly into the game with an apple sauce IV drip for sustenance.

  5. I will admit to personally being a recovery overkill player. Get Ageless with a lot, otherwise use other tools more heavily than average. Like my Stamina is usually slotted 2 Performance Shifters and 2 Power Transfers. Or I use HO’s to get better end redux on some toggles. I simply hate the thought of having to slow down to conserve end, ever. Nothing murders your DPS like bottomed out end. So yeah, I err in the other direction a bit. You talk about it being ok to eventually run out, but I never sit and wait after a fight, and also AV soloing fights can get pretty long. If you solo pylons, you having a toon that is good on endurance for 60 seconds instead of forever is going to be reflect poorly on your DPS.

Cross Punch is actually a reeeally good attack when you combine its already decent stats with its ability to slot Fury of the Gladiator, Armageddon, and Force Feedback in part of an S/T attack chain. Two of my better tankers in terms of S/T DPS use it constantly. Arcane Bolt is also very good but a little hard for it to be competitive with other powers when Arcane Power is not proccing, so I am less likely to use it in a constant chain and more likely to keep it next to my chain and wait for the yellow circle.

  9. I would much rather have the vacuum pull than not, all else being equal. So doesn’t suck for me.
  10. My new StJ/Stone stalker has 4 Performance Shifters and 4 Power Transfers... I definitely have yet to observe any blue bar movement at all so perhaps overkill.

  13. Its reverse repel pulls things towards it, increasing the chance of things being in its AoE KB aura radius now. I’ve begun giving it a KB->KD since the addition of the vacuum pull effect, which is awesome.

  17. Would prefer no autos that add significant value (auto res/def is a good recipe for making something feel nigh mandatory), but sure to another long recharge thing like the aforementioned +dam possibility.
  18. Shield/EM tank, EM/Bio scrap, Claws/Bio scrap, Fire/Fire blaster, Fire/Kin corruptor, Time/Ice defender, etc etc etc.

  20. If you aren’t farming, I think tank would be better too. Only reason /fire brutes dominate farming is because their mitigation deficit vs tanks is nigh non-existent with excess fire resistance, so the damage difference takes the sole spotlight. For regular play, I’ve pretty much stopped playing Brutes except for /EA and /Regen. The damage difference is barely noticeable compared to the mitigation difference. Heck, not even sure my Fire/Rad is behind at all at farming either. I built it with maximum procs to see just how close to a Brute I could get it to feel, and I can’t really tell a big difference.
  21. I personally have: Rad/Fire Spines/Fire Ice/Fire Fire/Fire Dark/Fire Fire/Rad Tanker Between those 6, off the top of my head, I estimate probably ~2500+ vet levels. Highest currently ~1350, none under 100. Literally the biggest reason I don’t make far more of them is that I don’t want to slow down the vet level production too much. They’re so easy to level and kit up, but I like them large numbers.
  22. Just letting people know that they should take soft capping suggestions with a grain of salt, man. If I didn’t see so many posters (not you) implying that you just die the second you play without 45%, it wouldn’t have felt necessary. And yeah, I don’t PUG much anymore. And yeah, I would rather get my recharge/accuracy/damage and multiple bonusless proc bombs on paper before I even dream of going for a defense set bonus. So most of my stuff is running on the defense from toggles and the 3% procs and perhaps the 5%ers from ATO’s and that’s all I care to shoot for. Anything more pulls from my offense potential too much usually. Think I’ll kill some pylons on mine later to see how the DPS goes.

  24. Don’t take Nemu’s advice about defense too seriously; soft cap lyfe is an optional playstyle choice one can easily avoid if they know what they’re doing. I have all Blaster sets, primary and secondary, represented on maxed out characters, and I doubt a single one of them has soft capped anything. Well my Archery blaster has capped ranged def, but he already has a respec planned. Oh yeah and Fire^3 blaster with fire def for farms but that’s it. 20-35% defense is more normal if you actually focus on offense and trust your ability to evade and whatnot. A lot of people on this forum will act like you are just going to die left and right without a defensive build, which is flat out untrue if you know what you’re doing. Your power picks are same as mine plus Rock Shards minus Heavy Mallet. Might look at the enhancements later. Also, people suggesting you abandon sets completely are also giving away something about themselves tbh. Every single powerset pairing in this game can solo +4x8 with IO’s and a decent driver.
