November is right around the corner. If you're willing to hold off on your purchase for a month you'll get some much better deals the week Thanksgiving with Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.

To be fair the Renegade Cut of Highlander 2 is a different movie almost. Much more watchable.

It is 2019: How would you update the city?
Frostbiter replied to Techwright's topic in General Discussion
Add some coffee shops. Paragon City has a noticeable lack of them. Coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee,. -
AFAIK it's to keep people from relisting stuff until they find a selling point. It can get very expensive.

Currently there is no way to retrieve Live accounts and characters. NC Soft is still in possession of the only copy of the Database for everything.

Personal Issue with AE and the slower slog of normal content.
Frostbiter replied to eldriyth's topic in General Discussion
There are already ways to do this with the XP buffs from the PTW Vendor. I know both of our opinions are already in other threads about this but I'll throw out mine again. I'm not in favor of increasing XP rewards without a way to opt out of how fast I blow through content. (I know I can disable XP entirely but that's a nuclear approach to slowing myself down when all I'm looking for is a gentle tap of the brakes to go a bit slower.) I'm also not in favor of nerfing XP rewards for everyone, AE or otherwise. I understand that the way I play is in a minority so I'm not going to push for my benefit to a majority of players detriment. -

If we're going to review old content, let's start with the "Speak to the Security Chief" missions. All these do is send low level players into hazard zones for no reason. They're a real PITA. -

Yeah, I do that. I have a really bad habit of forum posting. -

Hey, I'm just having fun. Don't look for me to get defensive about it. -

Please forward all correspondence to the proper poster. I don't have anything else in this fight other that pointing out how everyone reacts like the OP has personally threatened to cut their genitals off. You yourself made both accusation and assumption in one line. -

In before people lose their fucking minds. You've hit a sore (for whatever the hell reason) subject. Players get extremely defensive of their AE around here. -

Hoo boy. IBPLTFM. -
Just a heads up: the tram doesn't work there either.

The story arc at lvl 45-50 that deals with Praetoria and Statesman is Mariah Jenkins and was re-written after Who Will Die. The old version is only availbable through Ouroboros. The version thats "live" is altered to focus around Positron being kidnapped instead and doesn't even have Emperor Cole in it anymore.

Ran across this screenshot in one of my old folders. Shortly before the game shutdown on Live the dev Castle came into one of the instances of Atlas Park and turned a bunch of us into cars. We had our own little demolition derby.

Stan Lee is a trademark of POW Entertainment, LLC. Just FYI. -
Everything else sucks compared to AE farming
Frostbiter replied to Weylin's topic in General Discussion
No I'm mistaken, I looked back at the patch notes and it was set back to 100% XP Rates on 5/19/19. -
Basically by making sure they were all EB's and having a tray full of inspirations ready. I always pop 4 purples, two yellows, a breakfree and 4 reds before I take on an EB and rarely have any real trouble with them. Those are all small ones too. Larger ones just make it easier.

I'm going to add my 2 cents into the "xp rates don't need buffed" crowd. There are plenty of ways to do that yourself already and for those of us who like the leveling experience through the content it's far too fast to do more than a story-arc or maybe two every 5 levels. Even 30-40 only took me 4 story arcs and that used to be the painfully slow levels. I think we need a new xp rate that matches what it was on Live personally. -
It's not nearly as bad as it seems. By the time you're 50 the influence you gain from just running content should make up for the once a day drop rate. Catalysts aren't that expensive on the AH.

The easiest way to be cool is to not care about the cool kids. They can't stand it.

This pretty much matches my experience too. If I had to guess I'd say it's on a daily 20 hour cooldown timer.

I can't imagine the code for Everquest to be in much better shape either. That game has changed publishers and developers a few times over the last 20 years. I recently tried the EQII progression server and that game hasn't aged very well either. It's better than when it launched but to me it feels far more like a relic of its time than CoH.

Ah, thank you. Couldn't figure it out.
