  1. The 2nd question (about attuned IOs) was answered in link #2, Thank-you. Anyone have the answer to question 1 (about non-attuned IOs)?
  2. OK.. there's one thing I still don't fully understand about attuned vs normal IOs. This is related to the enhancement values, not the set bonuses. Let me state this in an example: If I have a level 50 damage/recharge enhancement (not attuned) slotted in a power taken at level 20, how much +damage and +recharge do I get from it when I exemplar to level 35? Is it equal to a 50 IO? ...or a 35 IO? ...or no IO? And same question with an attuned damage/recharge enhancement....
  3. TL DR version, Damage Resistance soft cap for blaster is 75% but usually people talk about "soft cap" are talking about 45% defense. Defense soft cap is 45%. At this value, normal enemies hit chances their floor hit %. For equal level minions that's 5% chance to hit... Lts, Bosses, AVs all have a higher floor (due to increased accuracy). Thus, they have a hit with 6% or 7.5%, etc. minimum chance when you are at or above the soft cap of 45%.
  4. I'm no expert, but I think the way to do this would be to start over and create a new mega zone, or perhaps break it into 3-4 zones that are just a rough amalgamation of all the old zones. But, if you're going to do that, you might as well just make a new world with a new story arcs and such so we just get more content instead of reproducing the old content. Oh, I know, lets make it an entire alternate Universe ...and it could have alternate versions of the current Heroes! And it could be ruled by an Emperor named, just of the top of my head, Emperor Cole! Yeah... that sounds like it might work.
  5. On live I had a Traps/DP Defender... With full stealth, I would absorb the alpha with seeker drones, jump in lay down a few traps, then Soul Drain/Hail of bullets... With my lowish damage output, but extremely aggressive play style by running ahead and hitting everything in a fresh spawn with my opening salvo, I basically filled the role of the team's tank. It was a really fun toon to play.
  6. Yeah... but cntl-click that status protection to put it on auto and never think about it again.
  7. When AE came out, I couldn't believe they allowed players to earn xp and inf there. I mean, of course someone is going to customize missions and builds to generate xp and inf in an optimal way to earn xp way faster then from playing normal content... that's what gamers do. Now, my personal playstyle is a min/maxer. I choose a goal and optimize my build and attack chains, etc, to reach that goal to the best of my ability... I probably put as much, if not more time into this game without logging in then I do actually playing in game.... and when that's done I make a costume. What AE farming gives a player like me is a host of new variables to tweak and optimize. Now in addition to optimize my build, I can also optimize a mission to work specifically with my build, and vice versa. It's really just more of the thing I love about this game. Which leaves me at this view point. I don't have a AE farmer. But I'm happy that people who want to farm AE have that option and do not see it as bad for the game.
  8. I started to post that I'd be up to do this some evening.... Then it dawned on me, I can't because I rolled up a stalker.... I keep forgetting that I'm a stalker now. I've even broadcast "scrapper lfg" a number of times.
  9. While you probably won't use smoke flash much, if you are soft-capped, you won't use Retsu either. Both can be dropped comfortably.
  10. The assassin's shock can be interrupted. So you have to make sure you're not moving before you click it. It's pretty easy to mess up, so you really do need to stop and pause for a beat before clicking it.
  11. I would expect it to be unrelated to when we start doing damage.... though if my theory is correct, you can just hit the thing once, and wait until the tick heals it, to start your run. This will will essentially allow you to start at the best possible time.
  12. I just came back so I am a ways from doing endgame stunts myself, but.... I think we need to rethink the test a bit. If we are getting times in the 90 second range, that means the Pylon is only getting 5 or 6 ticks of health... The problem is this, there is a significant difference between 5 ticks and 6 ticks. If you start just after a tick, you will get a significantly different time then if you start just before a tick. Back when we took 4 minutes per fight, this didn't matter so much. And yes, it is good to be back.
  13. Perfect William Valence. That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
  14. I'm not asking for the % chance to critical hit. I'm asking for the % chance to apply an assassin's focus using a regular in-set attack. For example, when I use thunder kick I see that it applies a stack of assassin's focus around 75% of the time. But that's a rough guess. I'm asking if anyone has done the data mining to know the exact % chance. When I'm high enough to get more powers I can do some data mining myself, but I was hoping someone already did the work.
  15. I'm looking for some real numbers here... I've read that normal attacks have a chance to add assassin's focus, up to 3 max. I've also read that Powers with longer recharge times have a much higher chance to apply assassin's focus (Is this right? I expected it to be based on cast time, not recharge time). Does anyone have the actual numbers on the % chance to apply assassin's focus for various powers? Or a formula to calculate it? Thanks,
  16. Running DFB this afternoon I noticed I wasn't getting any enhancement drops... none at all. I mentioned this in group and several others said they didn't get any either. Was ok last night... perhaps related to the 8/22 patch? ..., or perhaps something else.
