It still seems to me that Blasters are for team players and Sentinels are for soloists. Which isn't a bad thing. I actually think it's good that both of those ATs have their niches.

You're probably right about not being a game changer. At this point though it seems unlikely that any of them are actually going to launch.

They kinda have given us an accolade power, the zone teleports and all teleports under one umbrella button. Personally I think it's a great addition to the game. Better than the teleport macro that it replaced.

And that's exactly my point. Looking at EA and saying it has to be nerfed while the elephant in the room, Bio, strolls quietly by without anyone saying a word about it, is kinda ridiculous. Frankly, I think the devs should just port Regen and EA to Tankers and SS to Scrappers. And then, if they're overpowered, normalize them according to the AT modifiers and allowed performance equally across ALL archetypes.

I don't know about Regen, but I don't see any reason that EA has to be nerfed before it can be ported to Tankers. First, if the set isn't overpowered to begin with then simply changing the values to bring them in line with Tanker values should be fine. If they'd be overpowered on a Tanker with Tanker values then they're overpowered on a Scrapper with Scrapper values and the Scrapper version should be nerfed too. Secondly, so what if EA has higher numbers than other sets. Is there anything that EA on a Tanker could do that SR, or Shield with some IOs can't do? So what if the defense numbers are higher. They can only miss you. It's not like a higher number will cause the enemies to "miss you harder than ever before." A miss is a miss. EA is the best Scrapper armor that doesn't have a damage buff. If that's ok on a Scrapper then it should be ok on a Tanker. .

Years ago, on the live servers, a friend and I were playing villain-side. I was on my EM/Elec brute. Got confused by a CoT Succubus. I immediately ran over to him and hit Energy Transfer. I was at nearly max Fury. It dropped him, and then he was confused as to what happened. I explained it to him and then spent the rest of the mission chasing him every time I got confused. (I wasn't purposely encouraging the Succubi to confuse me though, no sir!) To this day every time we fight CoT he says "Oh, man. Here we go again." 😁

Also, you could team up with a tank or a brute who will keep aggro off of you. Or with a defender or corruptor who can give you mez protection. I know, I know. No one ever wants to team up with other people and I'm a bad bad man for even suggesting it.

True. But since reporting people to the mods hasn't gone their way lately they have no choice but to try to shame people by accusing them of "gatekeeping" and "white knighting" and "speaking for everyone" and etc etc etc. They can't just argue their argument on the merits and leave it at that. They have to bully and/or shame people into agreeing with them, or else. Mostly because they haven't realized yet that this isn't Twitter.

I hope you're right about that. Not only do I not want to go through a sunset again but I've become used to the way Homecoming is set up. What I'm really hoping is that this application will allow me to give my friends my IP address, and a password, and we'll still be able to play CoH together.

Agreed. In addition to the extra attack per round, Hasten should also give you a bonus to initiative, to hit and armor class. 😁

The nice thing about deck top applications: Sometimes the internet is out. I don't have to accept ridiculous updates if I don't want to. I can run the application whenever I want to, even 20 years after the company has folded and the application is no longer for sale. I'm not at the mercy of someone else and their website. I don't have to worry about them "sunsetting" my application.

So you come into the thread, accuse people of "white knighting" and "gatekeeping" and then you refuse to point out the specific statements. You could point those statements out, but you don't wanna get into a measuring contest. Yeah, ok. Look, I'm not trying to get into any kind of contest with you. I'm asking you to back up your accusations. If people really are "white knighting" and/or "gatekeeping" in this thread then it should be extremely simple for you to quote the exact post (and/or portion of a post) where they did that. In my experience, people who are making honest accusations are more than happy to point out the exact infraction and back up their statements. While people who are making false allegations often get indignant and refuse to discuss it further. Since you're psychic, can you tell which option I believe applies in this case?

I do. How do you think I read your post? Unlike you I'm not psychic. White knighting is when someone defends someone else without expecting anything in return, i.e. acting like a white knight. Gatekeeping is when someone physically prevents you from entering a door or gate, or prevents you from taking an action. So if a moderator deleted your suggestion so that the developers can't see it then that would be gatekeeping. I just read this entire thread again. I didn't see anyone defending the developers. And, since a developer has responded in this thread, clearly no one has been Gatekeeping. I also didn't read "I speak for the entire player base" anywhere in the thread. Now maybe they're thinking that they do but, since I'm not psychic unlike you, I can only go by what people actually write in their posts, not in whatever pops into my head. Perhaps you could quote the exact portions of the posts where someone is gatekeeping and/or white knighting? Or would I not be able to see it because I'm not psychic? You're entitled to your own opinion, but you're not entitled to your own facts. .

Both Winterhorde and TOT mobs should be level-less.

I don't want all street mobs to be my level. I like my level 50 being like Superman when he smacks some Hellions in Atlas Park around. Super hero game! However, I would like to see a situation where saving a citizen from muggers on the street rewards a character, regardless of level. Perhaps a small amount of XP or special drop when the civilian walks up to the character and thanks them.
