  1. The idea was a psychic child with some but not enough psychic power to make a big difference to be recruited into a hero agency and went to the gym and went Rogue after a certain point But. Every time I do one of these Pool Power type characters I end up disappointed in some form or another Pistol/Radi/Experimentation sent. Corrosive Vial was utter crap. Radius of Ice Patch, 14 second duration for full effect, etc. Poison Dart was ok but caused redraw SS/Invul brute with the fighting pool attacks. But Cross Punch ended up being too narrow and boxing/kick had to be used too much. Idea was to have some AoE before 32. Mind/Kin troller with magic origin pool. sleep slotted for damage, hold slotted 4/6 basilisk gaze and 2 mez/dmg hamis, magic dart, etc With that said I ask if anyone here ever used Force of Will's attacks? Project Will on paper seems to be a direct upgrade to Mental Strike (psi melee t1) - Theme here syncs up, and gets rid of a "wasted" power selection like many people have with Boxing And Wall of Force appears to have decent range and arc and damage for its activation/recharge time Before I commit the time/inf/costume/name/othercrap to this I wanted to get a bit of feedback on Project Will and Wall of Force

    Unstoppable!

    Unstoppable just holds an IO for me. Crash and getting it perma is just too much. Your best bet is to IO for softcaps now and sit tight for a T9 revamp wave by the devs.
  3. Dragonsbreath replaces Buckshot. Buckshot but with a fire DoT Fragmentation grenade replaced M30. M30 but with a lethal DoT
  4. I remember awhile back one of the devs said they are looking at enemy resistances across the board. assuming lethal damage gets less resisted that might be enough of a bump.
  5. I think the major problem is the time it takes for regen ticks to happen, at higher levels a lot can happen in those few seconds. So with the addition of a few things on Homecoming, like Blaster's /Ice Manip's ability to toggle on the numbers on their shield/absorb, and changing lesser used/borderline useless powers I suggest this: Fast Healing is now a toggle, a nature aff/time manip Heal Over Time. healing and tick times unknown because I dont wanna have to factor in Reconstruction/Dull Pain for balance Move Fast Healing's -regen resist and +regen into Integration
  6. This does make more sense. Maybe add him to MAGIC in Atlas mocking them at their understandings. Maybe an intern or something asking if that bird is real or not. Or somethingsomething Mercy island.
  7. Teleport on test is 350ft. panic mode for me for the next few months.
  8. I seen that Warshades humanoid step/teleport got bumped, but nothing in the original notes about Dwarf Steps/teleports
  9. Too many pages to wade through for this: But devs, please do not forget about Black/White Dwarf Step! And maybe Nova form flights. While I am fairly sure I can adapt with a respec I have been using Dwarf Form teleports to travel on both khelds. Also consider bumping up the movement speed for Quickness/Mental Training
  10. 1.) Because now that your argument shifted to that 20% window, which fluctuates its barely an issue 2.) You are forgetting one important thing: Base damage. Dominators have a slightly higher base damage than defenders which means they will benefit more from damage buffs/enhancements. At their damage caps, a dominator will still do more damage than a defender because of BASE DAMAGE. Just because two ATs have the same power set/power name, does not mean they do the same base damage. Please refer to the character creator info for examples. Use Ice Blast/Icy Assault for example when/if you do so. 3.) train muscle memory and keep your tray tidy, i instantly tap F4 when mezzed 4.) A controller may get temp invul, but they do not get the other autos and unyielding which also add to other resists, further diminishing your point 5.) Please keep in mind the window of which that 50% health is in most cases. in the event of minion/lt/bosses, they are dead before you blink. and in AVs everyone summons lore pets anywho 6.) While my fault, you took a regen post/bullet point seriously. it was my understanding that any time regeneration is brought up on the forums people instantly go into meme mode. But with the new instant combat tele thing a few months back id still take granite over regen.

And disagreeing with someone might be disrespect, depending on the reader but like what is going on right now as you are reading this, disagreeing with someone happens in a discussion and going off-er the rails to go on a rant about how a disagreement was handled is not helping anything. I came into this thread voicing my wish list and defending it. You came into this thread swinging at me. And the last bit on pandering to the OP did not add anything to the topic, replies or the decency of the thread because it was typed out to antagonize me.
  12. This is why I alternate BU and Aim each group. because it sounds like you only have two actions per fight before its over, why not have the second one being the AoE? But in the case of a level 45+ group and everyones magically alternating judgements then nah, cant be helped
  13. You do the same thing but you go down the brow beating route. And the rest are just blind rage assumptions about me because I do not see things your way. I can tell how mad you are by how you are avoiding direct lines of low brow personal attacks without actually crossing the line.

Brutes do since the patch, one alpha strike from a large group gets you damn near 80% fury In the case of defender that 30% is smaller than you think due to their base damage being low as it is breakfrees/rune, early level blastering trays are mostly BFs controller has a harder time getting to caps some enemies are mechanically rooted the corruptor thing doesnt really click as an arguement regen gets nerfed everytime something else gets a buff or a new set comes out, you know this to be true. Yes the Rooted change on beta is a nerf to regen secondaries. With Rooted providing Regen, and Stone armor having dull pain, all it needs is to have the s/l auto turned into Rock Polish to mimic Reconstruction. And lightly enough calling me dumb to be slightly outside the grasp of a personal attack is just silly.

Because the gigantic thing people tend to forget is that pets are not effected by + or - rech effects and pets tend to have some "dead" time where their powers are recharging As for the players choice to decide between attack or defend, its like the corruptor, defender, controller and sometimes dominator (sets where its available anyways) and nothing can be done about it unless its level 30+ content and there is more than one melee on the team with softcapped everything laying waste in which case, attacking most of the time for you. And for the poor unfortunate newer masterminds who do not or cannot softcap their pets in end game and the incoming summoning timer changes will be spending all their time summoning, and, buffing. "Oh but if you cant accept that summoning and buffing is just slang for attacking or defending like other ATs, why not play other ATs?", is what you might say. And I do. I do not play my masterminds outside of leveling content or a kill through ITF due to the many many drawbacks of being a mastermind. Auto buffing of pets would help tremendously for my ability to help speed targets/final rooms. But I stick to brutes/blasters/corrs for the most part due to the severe imbalance of power. 11 masterminds just shelved waiting.
  17. I read a few of them, but they were invalid because they were not engaging enough. And the ones that i skimmed were borderline anecdotal at best. and yeah that one really long post was totally ignored. I still stand by that rebuffing pets all the time adds no flavor or fun to the game. Auto buffing of pets, or even something new to the thread: Take a page from Fortify Pack to where just buying the ability unlocks a power and spread other pet abilities out over personal attacks and change current buff powers into other personal attacks. 1.) This will add a unique flavor that the other servers dont have 2.) Will add some new life to the archetype 3.) Force people to build and respec differently

If on a TF, Null the Gull wont talk to you If in a regular group and someone groupflies/team teleports you have to tell them or be told to do something, and thats heading to pocket d, and back to the mission. Sure some of you have the pocket d port and mission porter, now imagine heading to Null every alt. Please consider this now that group fly will be a super viable thing for masterminds all the rockets all the floating beasts all the team teleporting group flying ninjas tping behind you nothing personnel binded Worry. Maybe.
  20. i am not reading this, but i seen your stick with master of itf somewhere. while i am not going to research it, even a solo defender did this. auto upgrades are still on my wishlist as it still makes sense to summon the best from the getgo. taking the time to be constantly summoning and animating and upgrading should not be a "mastermind tax"

  23. This is theorycrafting. I dunno if you played masterminds even in ITF or anywhere near endgame, but they lack hardcore. But because this game is easy enough to give a passing by "oh anything is viable if you think hard enough". All other ATs come ready to go, i dont see why masterminds should not. The almost equivalent of this is players getting toggles turned off randomly. Pets do not benefit from mastermind's outside buffs (fort, forge, insps etc) - yes i am aware of earth/ambrosia in the beta notes Pets have a low base damage, and low base damage cap. Yes I am aware that there are 6 of them can balance it out, but does not. Pets do not benefit from IOs. Now the IO thing is huge, while the game is balanced around SOs, every player and their mothers alt account is riddled with IOs. And not having pets sharing IO bonuses is what holds masterminds back from being on the same level as other ATs With all that said, having auto-upgrades is a small step, but a step in the right direction. Nothing of roleplay, or mechanical value is gained by not having pets auto upgraded on summon. Even thematically a mastermind would have that shit ready to go as the mercs parachute down(or jumping off the dropship knowing they can turn on full auto), or right after the bruiser decides to get off his bike with his.. punch gear or even in the case of fucking magic that undead or demons dont come hitting the ground running. somethingsomething a high level ninja master bringing in trained recruits and beasts being taught/screamed at how to use Biteaga or Biteja.
  24. I disagree, it (auto buffs) is a stepping stone to fixing the AT. Because if you forgot or did not know, there was a time where MM pet upgrades were single target and required slotting beyond 1 endredux and im like 90% sure on this, but pets required resummoning and rebuffing every time you zoned. and i hope that auto upgrades happen at some point and gatta take it one step at a time.
