  1. its ok, upfront heal + regen they only lick themselves. lions at level 6 upgrade and one other wolf at 32. cant remember if its tier1 alpha or tier3 dire I run beast/thermal (current) and beast/ff (retired). its much more noticeable on a set without player heals. on the FF I never had to worry about the lions that much and aid other was more than enough to keep them healed in most situations
  2. consider hospital + university dayjob accolade instead. having a power slot freed up is very liberating
  3. /sonic is kinda overkill in the resist department for Demons. with thermal and the IO aura buffs I can get my demons very close and at 90% s/l/f/their personal quirk resist resist 30-35% from the 3 aura IOs 10% from the thermal garg 10-15~% ish from their inherent 20~% from thermal shields And even if you are dead set on sonic, get the personal attacks. all sonic needs is the default, 2 shields, bubble and the -resist toggle. you do not need aid self because insps and bodyguard mode. field medic is ultra trash maneuvers is extreme hit or miss depending on if you slot the Def aura IOs I highly recommend Mu Mastery for Charged Armor since after S/L damage, energy is right behind that which stacks well with your big bubble. my thug/sonic has a personal 70%~ s/l/e resist. but thats also due to the 5% and 3% procs Your sonic shields are way overslotted. all 3 of my bubbles AND charged armor are as such: 1 ribo, 1 resist/end, 1 resist Unbreakable Guards. Liquefy is Extreme trash. its recharge is too huge for what it is and the fact it doesnt even have -resist is heart breaking. Assuming you do take Charged Armor, you will not need Tough. and Weave might be too much of an investment With all of those adjustments, take Assault because that +dmg is very nice with the -resist you are pumping out through personal attacks, siphon and disruption

    New primary

    MM pet customization > a new MM set. Why? Because mercs can become disgrunted office workers. thugs can become clowns. demons can become fapbait. ninjas can become your 6way senran kagura fantasy. zombies can become your ES4: Oblivion Fantasy. Beasts can become your savage assault catgirl fantasy. huh the last couple became redundant. my point being let us customize our minions into bouncing breast and butt physics FO4 assaultron robots

OP if you are trying to make a firefarmer go Radi/Fire/Mu 1 acc 5 procs in irradiated ground slot fences/ball/discharge for damage skip the radi cone ground smash is amazing and if soloing, i dont know why you are fighting bosses since they take x4 the effort of a LT for only double the rewards of a LT the Contaminated effect is neat but not worth focusing on Go to the P2W vendor and bring some power analyzers with you, many firefarms have lethal resist on enemies and zero fire/energy As for the rest of you, the new Artillery Set or even the Detonation(got an extra range a few patches back) set was made for Shockwave. Also Intuition Partial Radial Revamp and Cardiac Partial Core Revamp are other options for more range.
  6. StJ/nin staff/invul or nin or sr claws/sr just dont do willpower on a stalker. no quick recovery is a hard pass on the set

  8. Im like 90% sure blaster damage auras do not have a taunt effect and the one time it did it got removed quick
  9. fire/martial (or thorn) bonfire with KB to KD. caltrops keeps the targets inside. fire cages is crap

Thugs, top tier nice mix of aoe and single target, does not have to wait until 32 for aoes Demons, top tier, same as thugs but more varied damage Beast/Ninja, mid tier, melee, single target damage for the most part. beasts are a newer set and have more tools to survive a bit better Bots, low tier pre 32, top tier post-32. ever since thugs came out its like regen to willpower or SS to StJ. Still amazing Mercs and Necromancy are low tier always. Mercs are held down by lethal damage, a low damage tier2 and being unable to control its CC abilities is meh. And the short range on a few attacks of the commando. narrow aoes are also a turnoff Necromancy pets are slow, watching them go downhill is agonizing because of their landing animation that plays every. god. damn. inch. they. fall. Tier1 zombies have a lack of attacks Tier2 zombies are mostly lethal and kinda bug out because sometimes they cant decide if they are melee or ranged Tier3 zombie is also low damage and since his CC abilities cannot be controlled it can use its hold at the start of a fight, or as the target is keeling over

    Natural Archer

    Unless you are also planning to only give yourself X shots per mission and having to go reload someplace I cant really see this. Having infinite arrows but not being able to light them on fire or having some high yield explosives on them is kinda weird. Plus Electric Net arrow is one of your better damaging abilities. Quivers aint that big in this game and 20 or so arrows inside them is pushing it

Aggro cap lowered in issue 4 or 6 Its issue 25 or 26 right now Taunt still only hits 5 targets Tanker AoEs hit 16 targets Gauntlet has a small radius taunt on attacking Even if you got a larger aggro cap you wont really have the tools to get them all considering thae 95% of this game trash mobs die instantly or super quick And to do one thing will lead to more work on other things and considering we went 20+ issues without the need for it.. sorry. And if all you wanted to do was herd then you get a hard pass from me. thats boring to watch and wait and take into consideration target limits on aoe attacks with vary from AT to power

Note all I do is team in large groups, damn near 0% soloing /Dark is really your safest option Franken slot your pets to allow all def/res auras you can get in, hamis are a huge help. note that set bonuses do not effect pets AND when catalysted out you are looking at +10% def to all, and 25% def to aoe, and 35% resist to most from those aura buff IOs alone. stack that with many of the -tohit options from /dark and its solid /Dark has this amazing ability to floor -tohit of many many many targets either by summoning a [Dark Servant] on an AV, or toggle pulling a group with [Darkest Night] or a -tohit slotted [Fearsome Stare] Radiation has fairly small radiuses and heavily reliant on Infection, which you can get caught with your pants down from it recharging and fast moving groups Force Fields are weak to high acc or auto hit stuff and your pets [Drain Life] why am i linking format and Aid Other, I retired my necro/ff awhile back Sonic is also nice option, mostly melee pets for the -res toggle, being able to get your pets resists in the 70%~ish range to most. heavy AoE situations might drive you crazy but makes your pets pretty tanky with auras/buffs Thermal is another nice option, my pets are in the 50-60% resist to most range and healing helps. Forge on the tier1s for stronger projectile vomits or switching to grave knights for single target Traps meh, no synergy Storm meh, no synergy. If the devs ever make a -repel IO Storm may become top tier Trick arrow 100% avoid due to no synergy and just being bad all around because no anchor. if the devs ever changed the debuff arrows to ground powers like Disruption arrow, might change my mind. Also do not quote me on this since the last time I tried this was like 12 years ago: Your lit oil slick drives your pets insane. May have gotten changed, may not but I dont even wanna firefarm a TA mastermind to back this up with current patches. Pain/Time are ok options but waiting until level 28 for that game breaking power is disheartening for me as I run lots of lower level crap whenever I can. Empathy is also meh. If emps fort/clear mind ever becomes group based, sign me up. but until then keeping fort on 4 of 6 pets is a turn off. Poison is also meh due to small radius on debuffs and dark/radi trumps it in every way because if something dies in a dark/radi debuff aura, another enemy can take its place in the target que AND it will linger after the anchors death. And ever since the poison traps nerfs I have nothing good to say about Poison at all for any AT.

  16. Ancient memes aside: Fiery Melee's Breath of Fire. dont really need it to be longer, but a 120-130 degree cone Dark Blast's Nightfall. Give it Water Blast's Steam Spray animation and widen that attack up There are probably others but those two are holding me back from making said characters.
  17. Even if you get what you want you know PA will have reduced damage when ported over. And spectral wounds only shines because of Containment. Ill/rads solo so well because they can pull 3 indestructible tanks outta their ass without having to bend over. Giving all that damage + a secondary with more damage is insane enough. throw in incarnate powers for -regen and the ability for doms to sometimes hold an AV through the purple triangles.. nah. And imagine the even more damage going out when people find out that 4/6 basilisk's gaze and 2 50++ dmg/mez hamis in Blind is nuts with dominators base damage

    Your ATOs.

    Are upgradeable via catalysts. 15% aoe def. 15% resist to all. dont forget that frankenslotting your pets with hamis and aura buff IOs are your only chance at making it. Until the devs make IO set bonuses effect pets you are unable to refute this.
  19. Fire/Staff. PBAoE God. Guarded Spin keeps melee def, I slotted for ranged def. Guarded Spin at 4, Eye of the Storm at 16, Burn at 18. Rains numbers. SR/MA. Dodge queen. Storm Kick (10% def all) + tanker numbers + why not 3%x2 def IOs in Tough softcaps me even in Positron's task force. Build #1 IO'ed for Runspeed. Build #2 IO'ed for Resists. My insp tray is just full of green/blue/duals/orange I have a radi/fire and dark/dark tank on the backburner tho

I vote going fire/energy blaster and coloring everything Kheldlike. human form attacks are much much weaker than nova form attacks on top of nova form having a 45% dmg buff, another 9% from the kheld ato. laser beam eyes is usable from nova form and it hits harder than incan strike nova blast hits harder than radiant strike human form damage is just sad. but if style is what you are going for i cant stop ya.

    Mercs/?

    First of all, I only group on my merc/ff. since the ranged pets change it has been quite fun. Bubbles is ok with serious IOing and dependent on the Def Auras Dark is tried and true. slot for tohit debuff, slot those def aura IOs. call yourself shadowshots or shadowshotz or whatever the namegame is on your server Mercs just dont synergize well with anything and i only had fun with /ff
  22. The thread is about speed task forces. people jumping around to objectives and moving on is the point. softcapping to effectively do this is key. If you are taking other situations not related to speed TFs then thats on you. Stay on target soldier.
  23. And speedrunning isnt the only way to run TFs, but if you are, softcapping is key

By being a stronger build do you mean a softcapped def built any other AT? just showing up with your secondary and pretending to be useful is shameful meanwhile the other ATs are coming out swinging with both their primary and secondary. They are softcapped and good to go just wrecking shit They do not need your secondary if they are speeding. And if you know you are not needed because "eh the games easy anyways" why show up and take a spot when you can sit in a firefarm for better rewards? Masterminds are weak on speed TFs, cold hard truth. I hate it, but its true.
