Though I'm not against an aura that would make you look spectral, I do not think that a spectral aura should be allowed in PvP. At least I think this is the kind of thing you are talking about.

I see. Well, I haven't actually looked for it. But I see what you are saying. It might have been to complicated or caused lag to apply wet to moving targets the way say oil slick is applied to a surface that can be set off by fire or electricity to cause AoE fire damage. I'm assuming that cold would get some kind of bonus on wet targets, fire would have decreased damage, and nothing else would be affected ... at least I'm assuming water blast is fresh water and not salt water (in which case, potentially electricity could get some kind of bonus).

As I said, I see "+ wet" in-game on the power descriptions, but I don't see any icon showing "wet". where are you seeing this "flag" in-game?

You're a GM. You know where the line is. It certainly is a thing. I realize it is part of a marine mammal. I'm assuming other parts of bodies are not acceptable, but I'm not a GM. I'm not trying to argue with you or make a judgement call for you.

Whitecap why? (aint nuthin but a heart break...)
UltraAlt replied to luxlorica's topic in General Discussion
I like it. I use it to jump in and then immediately jump back out. With all the debuffs you can lay down, the white cap landing you in the middle of a mob isn't really as bad as it seems to be. With a mastermind in turtle mode, you go in, get jumped, and your pets start dog piling the enemy. Seems to work fine. I've used it with all 4 archetypes. The thing is with power sets is you can't apply your tactics to them, you have to figure out what tactic augments the powers in a set and then use those tactics. That being said, almost all power sets have powers that have similar functions. I have found that an alternate use for White Cap is to quickly get to an ally or targeted pet/henchmen. They have to have an enemy targeted for it to work. So say a team mate is getting jumped. You White Cap to them, AoE those around them, and then start your healing of the team mate and what not. -
...and there is at least one suggestion thread about this ... most probably more than 2 or 3 ...

I don't know if you are planning on going directly to the end-game or if you intent to play the game and level up the character. That really has a huge impact on the kind of response you are looking for. I like all the mastermind pets except the demons. They are just too noisy. If I make one of those, I go petless and level up the whip only and generally xp lock them once I six slot all the whip powers. Secondary-wise, my favorite up until now has been electric, but marine looks like it will give electric a run for the money, but I haven't tried it out enough to be totally sure. Of course, electric really works thematically better with Robots or Zombies. For me, marine only works thematically with Beast Mastery, so I made one of those. ( ... but, if I could color customize the ninja outfits to blue ....) The reason I'm fond of those two sets is because I usually turtle up and both sets are great for keeping pets healed up (essentially they act as your armor and attacks at the same time and your character mainly makes sure that the henchmen are healed and buffed). For Ninjas, I usually end up with going for kinetic. I have one Beast Mastery mastermind with trick arrow and another with empathy. The trick arrow on one is fun to play, but I have to respawn the henchmen more frequently.

"(get your mind out of the gutter!)" If you have to go there, then I would think that the name is unacceptable.

Yeah. I see "+ Wet" in-game, but it isn't in the wiki. Aqua bolt is a quick recharge which helps building +Tide Pool quickly, so I don't skip that one. I use it for dehydrate if I need the heal. Otherwise, I mainly use it for water burst at this point (because it knocks enemies/soft hold). I only have water jet one slotted, so I don't even use that in the main rotation yet. I don't have geyser at this point. I can't tell you how great an impact it has on either of these, but I'm assuming it is a noticeable difference like it is for dehydrate and water burst. But wiki, water jet - "If you have 3 Tidal Power and you activate this power, it will have an enhanced effect causing Water Jet to cast slightly faster and *immediately reset the recharge of Water Jet." geyser - "If you have 3 stacks of Tidal Power, Geyser will have a 100% chance to disorient affected targets." *Confirmed on Water Jet. if you have 3 Tidal pool (showing the ring), you can set it off and then immediately set it off again.

Yes. Never market when you are tired and should be sleeping. https://www.businessinsider.com/citi-trader-fat-finger-flash-crash-trade-78-million-fine-2024-5 Luckly, I've only fat-fingered trades in-game. ... but I will admit, that I have done it far too often in-game ... Which only proves to me, if you have enough inf and keep capital aside for the bad times, you pretty much can screw up pretty badly and still come out ahead. I won't comment on banks, etc. as that would be political.

I can understand the people that have a "main" and even those like you that mainly "main". We all enjoy the game differently. I can see why you would rather use your AH slots for other things. We are both stating how we use the auction slots that we have access to. I have only made one mule. That mule was originally created for moving things from one server to another or one sg base to another. Since creating them, I have never moved them off the server that they were created on. I have moved characters from one sg to another (between bases/sgs that I made) to get items out of storage .. usually for immediate slotting. I do understand that some people make mules for one reason or another. And that one mule I did make ... I play them sometimes ... they weren't made simply as a mule ... they had their own character conception and are fun to play in their own right.

Not all that long really. My newer characters I don't even bother crafting or marketing with other than selling drops. So they have plenty or room. I really have too many characters that I'm marketing with when it comes down to it. I only craft the low-end non-set IOs when I want the badge name. I'm not a badge ...err... so I I'm not worried about anything but explore badges for the long-range teleporter unless I want that badge name for a character. If you only have a small number of characters, I can see he concern for auction space. I just made 4 marine affinity characters so I think I'm up to 180 characters at this point.

Collect the following badges in order to unlock stuff
UltraAlt replied to ZekeStenzland's topic in General Discussion
You need to collect all the badges in whatever order you chose. That is to say: you have to have all badges required to unlock the accolade or whatever. -

Uh, at 1 inf, I figure that is giving them away.

I have plenty of characters with open auction slots. I leave them up until they sell ... even those Range SOs

You mean like by changing alightments? May like being a sorta hero or sora villain that can travel to both hero and villain zones? Err... Arachnos attack villains by default. If you go over to the villain side as a vigilante the Longbow will see you as being an enemy as much as the villains or rogues. The way the game is built you can't do PvP in PvE zones. The mechanics work completely differently in PvP than they do in PvE. uh ... okay ... Or you could sneak around and avoid detection if it is about "infiltration" but I guess we have different definitions of things... ... er... okay... Have you ever gone into a PVP zone?

Pro: your henchmen have more defense when bubbled. Con: you don't have any powers to heal henchmen in combat without the med pool and the med pool can't really help with that in any sustainable manner. I don't know if it is a pro or a con to you, but this combination is better when played with a team versus trying to solo with it.
