  1. While you’re correct that both Ice and Stone Control don’t give protection to KB anymore, they did. And it was a very recent change that was made specifically because other powers in their sets revolved around KD as a primary control function. Arachnos Soldiers don’t have that. They have a power with a chance for KB, but that power’s primary function is damage, not control. You could argue that Arachnos Soldiers have a case for the change, but I feel there are other sets with stronger cases that didn’t get the change, so you might be fighting an uphill battle there.
  2. Wow, I’d totally forgotten the term “bridge”. I don’t miss that at all. On a similar note, I don’t miss the old SK / EX system either. Having to find someone low enough to run Positron, having to find someone to SK your friend’s character who was 10 levels lower, or even worse, walking 50 feet away from your Mentor in the zone or mission.
  3. To be fair, I don’t use them because they expire too fast, not because their effect is too little.
  4. This right here would get me to slot TOs and DOs. Not bumping the value, exactly, but having them be conditionally "attuned" for a certain amount of time. Right now, I out level TOs easily enough that I don't ever bother slotting any of them. DOs are very close to being not worth the effort, but having their effectiveness last for more levels would absolutely encourage me to use them until I break into IOs. Currently I refuse to slot anything until 22, so I can slot lvl 25 IOs. I've forsaken TOs, DOs, and SOs because of the replenishment requirement. The 'Death from Below' and 'Drowning in Blood' trials allow me to not worry as much about slotting TOs and DOs because of their Temp Powers, and by the time those wear off, I can craft and slot the basic IOs I need (acc and end red, usually).
  5. I just ran the midnighter’s arc the other day with someone and we used the collaborative mission through the whole thing, and didn’t have a problem. Would you have more details from your experience? Which contact, missions, etc?
  6. While I would love to open up more options regarding the titles, my personal desire is for a "custom" option via a text box to allow us to enter what we'd like. Granted, the UI may not support that at all, but hey, it's nice to dream.
  7. My favorite so far is my Psy / SR. I’ve managed to get about 60% Defense to all positions, which feels like the most overkill thing available to me, and I’ve enjoyed every second of it. I focused very hard on making sure it was “Exemplar-able”, so every power pick at every level is designed for doing any content. Of all my characters, this is the one I plan on so long as many TFs as I think I can get away with. Though I am falling in love with my Elec/Shield stalker, so who knows what will happen in the future!
  8. Some kind souls paid me 16 mil each for two. I’m not going to lie, I’m happy, but concerned. At the moment it makes more money to try and convert into them to sell on the off chance some pour soul will help fund my altitis.
  9. I've also been getting that error. I played fine a little over an hour ago, logged to watch an episode of The Boys, and came back unable to download the manifest.
  10. Also, the amount of Inf in the game now, vs when the Markets went live is much smaller. Many people on live had more Inf than sense when the Markets came online.
  11. The most the Devs did to assist slotting the level 49 power was to make Respecs work differently. Originally it was like leveling up. Power, Slots, Power, Slots, etc etc. Now it's all the powers, then all the slots, allowing you to 6 slot your 49 power, and possibly skip slotting anything you pick in the first couple levels. Which is nice.
  12. I have to agree with Leogunner on this one. Each set has a hole it can’t defend against, be it a type of damage, a type of defense (defense vs resist), the ability to sustain itself via regen or heals, or some combination of mediocrity. They were designed that way, and I lend more support to ideas that keep it that way. It’s an obstacle that we, the players, are supposed to over come in game because they, the Devs, placed it for us to overcome. I like the outside-the-box thinking for the OP’s idea, because I feel the T9s do need help. But I personally don’t feel that granting each powerset the ability to fill its own defensive holes to be the right answer. The idea that the T9s were supposed to be the “Ultimate OP power that comes at a price” confuses me. I get that it works in comics, but in a game it really doesn’t. Players have never responded well to abilities with a crash. I don’t even feel the T9s need to feel super powerful compared to the rest of the set. The T9s should feel like a part of the set, full holes in it like the set was designed around it, just like how there are multiple shields to cover different damage or positional types on the same set making them all feel like they work together. The T9s have always felt like a separate thing to me, in general, and that the newer sets did it “right”. They’re stronger, because you get them later, but they still feel like a piece of a set.
  13. How about a more informative title? Something to let people know what to expect in one of your threads?
  14. Gotta run the original story arcs to get them. Wheel of Destruction has it, and the monster of a contact has the gall to say “you’ve been working hard, so here’s and easy one for you! Patrol I.P. for Family!” You monster. I still only have Ninja Run!
  15. I’m running a Savage/Rad right now myself. Both are completely new to me, so I’m always second guessing my choices for powers and slots, but I’ve had zero endurance issues the entire time, even before slotting the ATOs in. After, it feels like I’m making endurance with each attack, like somehow some other character out there should be getting free endurance procs off my attacks. Maybe that’s what the Endurance Shifter proc does?!
  16. Here is the post I was thinking of. It's a bit complex, but Sovera does a good job outlining what you need to do to get your binds set up. Of course, you can make it more or less complex as you see fit, but I think it would work out for you.
  17. Interesting images. If I could ask one thing, could we see them both in and out of Hide? The massive AoE defense is just a mental gymnastic to do making me just ignore the stat all together, which I shouldn’t do because I should know better. Otherwise se this looks promising!
  18. Level up higher. Can’t flash back to a time you haven’t been to yet.
  19. I don’t know the exact bond set up, but I’d suggest checking in with the Dominator section for something. I saw someone had posted a bind load for using their movement keys to automatically switch between which power was currently on auto. If anyone is going to want to automate two click powers, it’s going to be them.
  20. After reading this thread, I went ahead and grabbed it for my Stalker. They were already getting Punch, Tough, and Weave, so Cross Punch wasn't a stretch. After using it a bit as an extra AoE attack, I picked up Kick, and it's been over all a pretty solid benefit to the build. I even adjusted what levels I grab things so my attack chain was smoother with Punch and Cross Punch (depending on if I was Exemped down far enough or not). I've been very impressed so far, and I've been considering making a "ScrapperMind" character using the Fighting Pool and the Whip. Probably a build to Respec into, but hey, fun times ahead!
  21. The good news is that the EB in Smoke and Mirrors can be down graded to a Boss. Makes the run much smoother. If a bit more dull.
  22. Time to switch to Smoke and Mirrors for 12 merits in 10 minutes or so, prolly less with stalker. My record on my Psy/SR Stalker for that is 5 min 35 sec, though I average about 8 minutes a run. My highest was 17 minutes, but I’d alt tabbed to the forums and sorta lost track of what I was doing. There’s only 26 enemies you HAVE to kill, and no travel time, so I totally see why this is the ideal “merits per hour” run. Can be absolutely boring though!
  23. Allow me to flame you for another reason: what's a "mat"? Short for "material", the ingredients for crafting.
  24. The best part of old DA for me was always the fog and ghost citizens. I still remember going there at the right level and trying to click a citizen to get the time. But they all kept vanishing before I got close enough. Badge hunting in that zone was especially fun. I would love it if we got that fog in certain spots of the zone. Maybe the city section, then when you entered the graveyard it was clear. Heck, I’d like it if we used that fog effect more often. Maybe in the AR?
  25. Numbers 1 and 2 feel like one or the other will do, and both would be overkill. I like the first one better though, but I have no idea why the original developers designed it the current way (I think to stimulate the market more by keeping people from being hoarders, but with the market artificially kept low via dev introduced salvage, I don’t see why this would be a reason currently). 3 might be just too much of a hassle to code for minimal pay off. I would like it if things would stop readjusting their orders as I’m trying to click something three times. Number 4 has been addressed, and I can’t argue with it, honestly. The fact we even have /ah is a blessing imho. 5 feels a lot like 3, in that while I have no idea how the code looks, I imagine that would be a bit of a stretch to do. For 7, without functional limits on what can be created, base raiding probably wouldn’t be as fun as you think. Defenders could just load up as much bank as they want since they don’t have to actually pay for anything. While I was never a huge fan of base raiding before, I don’t see it improved with unlimited resources. I wouldn’t mind the Ouro portal as a base teleporter though. Or even as just a new base teleporter location. And allowing all / more teleporter destinations per telepad. What I really want for myself are Customizable Titles.
