-the short answer- My intent was for this to be an optional add-on for players. That would mean everyone could ignore the interior or all go in with no penalty for abandoning the bowl. -the long answer- Would probably need to split the MSR into 'MSR Classic' and 'MSR Trial' for this answer. If i was going with a full blown trial then there would need to be several changes to make it flow better. It still wouldnt require leaving anyone in the bowl. I would reduce the number of pylons or reduce their HP, remove the timer, and have the interior open when the GM is defeated. Or at most 5 minutes in the bowl, similar to 5 minutes inside Mot in the DD trial. At that point the exterior is 'secure'. Each objective inside the ship would would have some sort of boss guarding it and the entire area would receive buffs depending on what hasnt been destroyed. Armory - enemies do more damage Barracks - steady stream of reinforcements Supply room - players get a temp power that helps. Perhaps psionic resist or something to use against the commander Engine/generator - enemies take less damage until their portable shield unit loses its wireless power source. Also the main lights would turn off and you get to battle night time glowing rikti. The final boss would be 'The Really Hard Way' hard if you skip all the objectives and leave his buffs in place. He would also have additional abilities that are removed if objectives are bombed. No ammo for his ultimate attack for example. Skipped bosses should also come to their commanders aid during the final fight. This is the Path to Destruction badge after all. A full change into a trial would also require some changes to the badges because i kept them in the theme of the existing badges that take 10 raids to earn. For now ill leave that alone but add these to an actual trial. Home Warming - defeat all the sub bosses simultaneously in their respective rooms (within a few seconds of each other). Death Wish - Skip all objectives and defeat the commander before defeating the sub bosses that came to aid him. (They still have all buffs since no objectives were destroyed and you dont have the temp power that makes it easier) Edit: All these extra bosses wouldnt be part of the smaller MSR expansion. That was just meant for a total trial revamp. Just bombing the objectives and battling the commander are meant for the initial post i made.

I didnt mention it, but i did feel this would probably just be for the instanced version. The zone doesnt need more stuff to lag it out even more. Also that it would still be totally fine to ignore the interior even on an instanced run.

What foes use the confuse debuff against players?
TheZag replied to cohRock's topic in General Discussion
By the time i notice i got fun mode activated and click one of my friends, its already over and i dont get to attack them. -
Edit: i ended up doing a trial revamp post as well. Scroll down to my next huge post to check that out. The mothership raid is really fun. Nothing says welcome to earth better than boarding the alien ship and killing its defenders for 30 minutes. But thats all there is. Killing aliens on the roof of their ship for 30 minutes (yes there is the drop ship too). We get to see a portion of the underside of the ship at the end of the Lady Grey Taskforce but we never get to go inside. I know there is some alien tech just begging to get blown up in there. My suggestion is to add a chance to assault the ship interior. Perhaps once a certain amount of rikti are defeated or an amount of time has elapsed that a teleport to the inside becomes active. The entrance should be away from the 'bowl' so raids can stay topside if they choose. Im thinking that the engine room/generator, supply room, armory, barracks, and command deck could be potential targets. The halls and rooms of the ship would be guarded by the toughest rikti. Perhaps some terra volta revenge by taking out their generator. Bombing several key points would open access to the command area where another GM awaits. On defeat the GM would need to teleport away Captain Castillo style to fight another day. Perhaps rooms could be skipped as well but the boss receives buffs for each area that wasnt hit. Badges, i have to suggest some but if there werent any thats fine. I just want to blow up their stuff. These would be league wide for credit. Set Up Us The Bomb - bomb the genetator room X times All Your Base - bomb all objectives in one run Chance to Survive - the command room leader escapes on defeat X times Make Your Time - finish the interior portion of the ship in less than X minutes Path to Destruction - skip all objectives that remove buffs from the commander and defeat the commander Master of Mothership Raid - complete all other badges.

Recharge reduction and endurance reduction.

I dont know for sure why. But i do know that it takes more code to do more things and that means more chances for things to get broken. Reminds me of a problem with a actual medical radiation device. Somewhere in its program there was an extra 's'. The machine worked fine for quite awhile but 1 time it gave a major overdose of radiation. Turns out that single extra character caused it.

Sometimes everything cant be awarded retroactively. Adding a bunch of checks for old badges in addition to the actual targets to award new badges. Thats where all the spaghetti code the devs have to fight with comes from. Its like thanks for the new stuff but i dont want to do it, just give me the reward.

This is true but not what i meant. All badges are obtainable without requiring a certain powerset even if some powers make badging easier then others. I will remain not in favor of badges that are optional to earn that require certain powerset selection.

Replacing portraits for NPC's using something like Artbreeder.

Make a character with a cape and aura then hit change costume and look at all of the 'same' costume. The cape and aura are on different frames of animation in each one. So everything Greycat said but you can look at them side by side. The game takes a 'screenshot' of the character model when it needs to put a picture in a frame. -
P2W Vendor: Level 50 Ticket (Cost: 20 Million Influence)

This was my main argument against in previous instant 50 threads. I think it would really mess up the market. And then those that are for it ask for proof which obviously is impossible to provide. But i still feel that those enhancements that are generally in short supply with increased demand would skyrocket in price. I cant prove myself right but i cant be proven wrong either and nobody on either side ends up convinced. -
7 randoms ran the new Cavern of Transcendence. It got ugly.
TheZag replied to Kai Moon's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Make it more so. Increased ambushes as you click obelisks and then decreasing over time sounds like its just what the trial needs. Now all we need to do is get the monsters giant cousin to rampage in the hollows once in awhile. -
I thought the quote was to show it was possible, not to be a no. Just shows how 2 people can read the exact same thing and get opposite meanings. But even if its possible doesnt mean its quick. If they have to edit the spawn defs individually for hundreds of present locations is very different then 1 edit per zone or 1 edit covers them all.

Id probably be down for selecting either t1 or t2 of the secondary, even stalkers (oh my!). So a stalker could make a toon without hide, who cares, they can respec if they dont like it. A mastermind isnt required to select henchmen and nobody cares. Also, 4 power pools is plenty.

For me when i landed on 'my power combo' is what brings me back to the same character. I originally made a bio armor/dark melee tank because i heard it was good for tanking hamidon. And while it is great for hami, turns out it was really fun for me. I play him more away from hami raids then in a hami raid. There is plenty of reasons people make new toons but if you land on 'your power combo/concept', you will find yourself coming back for more.

Sounds like maybe a pathing beacon is sunk into the floor. There were almost enough geometry fixes so the rest of the zone could be in bounds. Looks like a few still snuck through the cracks.

Often players referring to issue # are talking about a pervious patch in the game. Major content patches were called issues and minor content patches were called pages. There is story that has moved forward during the game so certain missions that say something like 'these events take place before issue 23' means ignore the fact that whatever happened in that update happened while running this mission.

Absolutely true. But our guy feels hes getting 50% hit rate and even 20 minutes of tracking should show otherwise.

P2W Vendor: Level 50 Ticket (Cost: 20 Million Influence)
TheZag replied to LightningDrone's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
SuggestorK, my post was a no post and i tossed in some crazy high prices to illustrate that it shouldnt be something that players would buy daily or even weekly. Also head to the merit vendor of your choice, click conversion and scroll down. Any alignment can buy hero or villain merits for 50 reward merits each. I was basically saying 'this costs 2500 merits' when i said 50 hero merits. -
Use that combat log thingy that i think carnifax made. Puts all that into a graph and if its actually that bad at hitting stuff then u get to report the bug and get yourself a bug hunter badge. Or there might be a different way to let people know......

P2W Vendor: Level 50 Ticket (Cost: 20 Million Influence)
TheZag replied to LightningDrone's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Im not for a level 50 token but if one were to exist it would need to be something that couldnt be afforded every day. Probably 2 weeks or more and of a price that gives the player pause to actually consider if they want to spend that much to purchase a instant 50. I made the joke of 2 billion and 1 so it would be impossible to purchase but i think if a token were real it should be much more expensive. Since the inf cap would only slow the AE farmers to a day or three and the marketeers to a few hours, an influence price wouldnt be enough in my opinion. Several thousand merits or several hundred emp merits i think would make players actually consider before making a purchase. You want a lvl 50 hero? Sure, that will cost 50 Hero Merits. ....No token please -
P2W Vendor: Level 50 Ticket (Cost: 20 Million Influence)

The team transport costs 10 million. I think a level 50 token should cost 2 billion and 1. -
Fix everyone being giants by subtracting 2 from each number on the height measurement at character creation. As for the massive tables and tiny cars, you are on your own.

Its in a new category 'running'. Celerity is under the category 'running and sprints'. They branched the sets that can go in sprint into its own category a while back so they could make more powerful sets that have to go in an actual travel power.
