Patch Notes

I could see why some took Paragon City for snobby. It has a way about it, a walk and a talk that just wasn't normal. We strolled, like a man in a park without a care or worry in the world, like we had on an invisible coat that would shield us from this place. Yeah, I think it would be fair to say I liked Paragon City from the start.

I must have missed the patch notes. It makes me sad, I enjoyed kicking it around after battles.

Caretaker's Plot Discussion Tunnel to Oblivion

Will we see any more of the Nuclear 90? A villain maybe? -
I bet they're clues to what's coming up: Ramen - new healing purple set Bulgaria - right next to Serbia, origin of the name Petrovic, leaders of the Skulls. Expanded Skulls stuff! Domingator - new Dominator powerset proliferation (I still want corruptamoagoo, stank and defloobernaut emojis) TV - expanded Television lore Accordion - Symphony powerset customization with instruments Satellite - Moonbase!

What additions to the AE would we like to see? (Within reason!)
Jiro Ito replied to Darmian's topic in Mission Architect
It'd be cool if we could designate AE enemies as "Hero" as well as "Arch Villain." Sometimes you're a bad guy takin' down a hero, y'know? Same stats, just a different title. -
Highly recommend this method for outfitting your own characters and making money on the auction house. Craft all of your drops (that you get for free!) and use converters to make something you can use now, something you can store for another toon later on, or something valuable to sell on the market. After awhile you'll never need to buy an enhancement or recipe again, save maybe your ATOs and WTOs. Getting all of the exploration badges in a zone (vidiotmaps ftw) will grant you 5 merits per zone. Spend 'em on converters! Welcome back!

I may have found the Unicorn! Ice/Dark Corruptor
Jiro Ito replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
Agreed about Power Boost, it's great and an easy 1-slot power. Also agreed about Howling Twilight, I have it slotted for knockdown, stun and recharge; it makes a great opener (especially after Power Boost 😉 ). Soul Storm is fuunnnnnn I have the defender version of this dark/ice and it's one of the characters I enjoy playing the most. Debuffs, controls, damage, it does a bit of everything. Corrupters' scourage with the rain powers is awesome though, can't go wrong with that; I just have lots of other corrupters and wanted a defender. -

The beautiful Aeon Strike Force and it's tragic failure
Jiro Ito replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
I love hard mode Aeon SFs! I like hard mode ITFs less, I feel like they're much harder than Aeons at like difficulty, and without the reward of a Dysnc at the end; plus Aeon has lots of optional content throughout (ripple AVs), while all of the added stuff in ITF is required (monstrous robots and Vandal). The hard stuff also makes me a better player. A standard TF I've done a lot doesn't teach me anything new about my AT, or powersets, or how I've gone about selecting powers and slotting enhancements. 4 stars makes me put a lot more thought into it. I hate speed runs. No time for jokes, no making new friends, no "fun." Fun for me is different than fun for others, and that's fine. I'd rather do a single 4 star Aeon with the Vanguard fight in 90 minutes, taking our time, making jokes, taking the side roads, then speed run the same ol' easy stuff and not say anything at all. It helps to have a regular group of pals to run this stuff with, so things don't get bogged down. -
But...if you have a tank...what do you need a dedicated healer for?
-
This can be blazed through pretty quickly, you don't even need to stop for Ambrosia if you bring the right powersets. I feel like the merits are right, considering. Pick the enhancement roll, it can be pretty valuable if you sell it or use to combine with other HOs and Dysncs. If you run as WST, you get the enhancement and the bonus merits.

Are there plans for Blood of the Black Stream/Gadzul Oil/ancient Egypt stuff? -
I've run hard mode content stuff with all-tank teams, all-blaster, all-corrupter, and all-defender. Tank is funny, safe, slow. Blasters are a capital-G-Grind. Corrupters and Defenders tied for the best as they are fast, safe, and fun. Soloing, I usually choose a blaster or scrapper, but in hard team content, corrupters and defenders are always the best because they make everyone else on the team better. Best makeups are 1 of everything. I love my fire/kin corrupter and dark/ice defender the most, but stay flexible to fill whatever need the team has. Deaths? A defender's power boosted Vengeance gives 65% boost to all defense. Last longer than Barrier!

Good News. New Players. Bad news. Teams suck.
Jiro Ito replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
I like reading posts about "combine the shards so there will be more players," and then reading these posts about the goings-on on the more-player shards. -
What's the hardest AT combination to play solo?
Jiro Ito replied to FFFF's topic in General Discussion
I guess we interpreted the thread title "Hard" differently; I know controllers are safe, but at some point you have to defeat an enemy or two =P -
Caretaker's Plot Discussion Tunnel to Oblivion
Jiro Ito replied to The Caretaker's topic in Developer's Corner
You mentioned Sirocco, does this mean the Live plans to have Manticore fall to true vigilante are also going to be scrapped? The AMA info sounded interesting, with him hooking up with Countess Crey after Psyche's death. -
What's the hardest AT combination to play solo?
Jiro Ito replied to FFFF's topic in General Discussion
I would think it would be something like an ice/sonic controller. At least defenders get a blast set. -
There is lots of PvE content but the world you're in is always PvP and any other player can attack you. It heightens the risk of everything you do, which is interesting, but it is a world of pirates after all. Plays much better with friends 🙂

Larger caves? More Giant Monster spawns RED side
Jiro Ito replied to Lkapitan2's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Yes blue side has more giant monsters, but most of them don't spawn in the "regular" city zones, it's mostly in the hazard zones. Lusca is the only one I can think of, aside from spawning Kronos or Babbage during a TF, and depending on if you consider Croatoa a hazard zone or a regular zone. Anyway, point being, not all Rogue Isles cities make sense for a giant monster. But maybe there are some other opportunities? What about the Jade Spider in Siren's Call? Could be defeated by either side (or coop, except for the splash damage *evil laugh*). Maybe Jurassik could show up in The Abyss, or Monster Island? -
The best way I've found to get around this is to use the Boss Attack (I think that's what it's called) text, so they don't start ranting until the fight actually starts. At least then I know the player is close.
