Who Would Win A Fight? Superman vs Goku
FrauleinMental replied to CU_Krow's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
Depends on what the story needs, who's writing it, and whose book/show it's in. Just like every "Who would win?". There are no objective measures of powers or power levels because writers (especially comic book writers) rewrite them whenever the character either needs a new power or needs not to have a power to further their story. Even Superman's vulnerability to kryptonite varies widely by writer and story (as does his weakness against magic)--sometimes there are entire story arcs built around it, sometimes it's barely a nuisance. -
Hi there! Here's my submission for the AE Contest! Arc ID: 34453 Arc Name: Winter’s Champion Author: @Fraulein Mental Number of Missions: 3 Description: It’s getting hotter, not colder, as winter approaches. So hot that I’m afraid the Ski Chalet might start melting! There must be a plot afoot. Can you turn down the heat?

I tend not to panic about it. It took about 6 hours, even dropping later in the day and on Halloween proper. I was online, but most of my friends had other stuff going on Saturday night. 🙂

What Past/Present PnP games have you enjoyed?
FrauleinMental replied to Oubliette_Red's topic in Video Games
I started in 1984 with the red box D&D Basic Set, which I'd seen advertised in Omni magazine. I then found a group playing AD&D. I've played each subsequent edition, and I was playing in a 5e game before our group went on hiatus in March. I GMed Marvel Super Heroes (the FASERIP system by TSR) in high school and, for all it's problems, it's still one of the best adaptations for balancing multiple power levels. I played Shadowrun when it first came out in 1989, back when being a mage hurt. I ran a 2e game in college, and I joined the Missions team during 4e and 5e. I've GMed a long-running GURPS game in grad school, which spanned the 3e/4e transition. I still have extra copies of the 4e slipcase on my shelf. More recently, I've played a fair amount of GUMSHOE, with the Dracula Dossier (Night's Black Agents) campaign and most of the Eternal Lies (Trail of Cthulhu) campaign. More recently, I've GMed a couple of short-run games with Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space, including a Torchwood-based campaign. I'm also a big fan of Star Trek Adventures, though I haven't gotten to play it as much as I'd like. (And I've spent way too much money on the Eaglemoss starships.) -
If it's one of the costumes normally available through ToTing, keep the dream alive. Even though the Halloween event is coming to a close, the Halloween costume vendors (in Croatoa and Nerva) are open year-round. 1 of each Halloween event salvage for a 14-day temp power (so 26 of each salvage will last you a year); you just have to visit the vendor every two weeks.

I just rolled Jolt Man, an Elec/Elec Defender.
-
Got mine in. Keep up the good fight!

Loads of fun on Trick or Treat Day, running the Mender Silos TF, otherwise known as Ambush Time! I only got a couple of shots at the end, one in costume and one in...costume.

I think that's correct. That's another one I have macro'd, but I don't recall if I bought it or not. (I have bought things from the Candy Keeper, I'm just not sure if that's one of them.)
-
Ah, ok. Apparently a few are still unlocked through in-game actions. dice7 works for me (I have it macro'd), but I unlocked it when I earned the Burkholder's Bane badge.

Are there any locked emotes? There are some that show up greyed out on the chat window, but the /e commands seem to work for those. I just copied the /e command in the Challenge, and pasted into my chat window.

Thanks! Not the best screenshot ever, but it certainly was frantic! 🙂

Nicely done, @Glacier Peak! I was on the forums, stepped away for one minute, and it was announced and won. At this speed I guess you just have to be online, standing next to your pick, when it happens to be drawn.

I also did a double-take of the OP when I saw the change.
-
I'll also be myself on this one. Mind/Kin Controller.

I've been using a keybind (/bind r "autorun 1$$e flypose1") for my flight pose (from this guide, you can sub flypose2, flypose3, or flypose4 for flypose1). But I like your idea. I'd also like to see perhaps a few more flight poses.

Coffee Ring was a runner-up at the Food & Drink CC, so I took the Vahzilok Buzzsaw costume.
-
The Crey Agent has a female version, but it's just a suit and headset. And there's the Vahzilok Eidolon, if you're into straps and leather. I really wish there were more female ToT costumes. Frankly, I'm shocked there aren't any Circle of Thorns costumes. I also kinda want a Malta Sapper costume. 🙂

1. Holy Wall of Text, Batman! 2. Yes, there was consideration of expanding the level cap beyond 50 on Live, but that was for only a short time after the level cap became 50. For years, the devs flat-out said there would never be another level cap rise, and then discussion died altogether when the Incarnate system was developed. In the shutdown AMA, the devs said they were planning progression within an expanded Incarnate system. 3. People worry about balancing for Incarnate powers, but another balancing problem occurs if you have a bunch of level-100 characters floating around with 10 extra powers and all of their powers 5- or 6-slotted. They'd probably have to develop extra powers for all the pools just to have power choices. (My main has just about every power that's appropriate for her. I'm not even sure what I'd do with 10 more power choices.) 4. What happens to enhancements, if anything, as characters level up beyond 56? Granted, I've attuned everything on my main that isn't purple (purples are attuned out of the box) or Hami-O. But do we start a new progression round for "gear" like most other MMOs? (That's pretty much what happens in WoW at every level cap rise.)

Alas, I'm unlikely to have a VEAT for the task (I have a 5 widow). Possible, but don't hold the spot if someone else wants it.
-
A few people do, but I think it mainly happens when we get bored waiting for a team/raid to form up. I get occasional comments about my main's bio, which is only one character below max length.

Interesting find. I just tried it, and the Walk power deactivates all my Incarnate powers, including the Alpha. (Everything vanishes from my buff bar except passive Day Job buffs, Accolades, and Inherent.) Deactivating Walk reactivates the passive Incarnates. Void Skiff has the same effect.
