A way to make Combat Teleport better.
Triumphant replied to ScarySai's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
If you're teleporting into the middle of a pack, you should be playing a tanker, brute, sentinel, or other AT that already has mez protection. I take combat teleport on almost every character I make. In terms of combat utility, it's possibly the best movement power in the game, apart from fly/hover. I think making it even better is not warranted. Just one guy's opinion. -
Rikti Invasions & Shard-Specific XP Boosts! (Update: Jan 16th)
Triumphant replied to Widower's topic in Announcements
I'm primarily an RP'er who hangs out on Everlasting, so I guess this doesn't apply to me so much (considering that it seems the trouble is mostly with Excelsior, atm?). Your analysis of the problem does feel correct to me, though (or, at the least, very plausible). The real question is, having identified the problem, what do you do about it? You can't rely on the solution of people changing their nature, I can tell you that much. In real life, most people don't want to be the one in charge, running the show, and so on (except for middle managers, who can enjoy that stuff without actually doing any work 😄). They just want to enjoy themselves. If you don't like to be in charge of running content, nothing is going to convince you to do that. Realistically, I'm not sure what can be done about this. 🤷♂️ -
Yeah, there's a lot of great stuff in the new update. The warning signage is something I've wanted badly for a long time, now. 😁👍

Transferring Invention set bonuses to a different set
Triumphant replied to plainguy's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
@plainguy I do somewhat see why you have the perspective that you have, but I really do think the CONS outweigh the PROS, as it were. I won't elaborate further, as I think the other responses of those who are against the suggestion, have pretty much summed up my own position. In short, implementing this would create worse problems than it solved and I'm not sure that it would solve anything at all. -

I do imagine that might make someone more relaxed about life. 😂 -

Triumphant replied to GraspingVileTerror's topic in General Discussion
I think that's wrong-headed but I do, at least, appreciate you taking the time to explain why you approach it that way that you do. -
Someone needs to make Mr. Green Jeans, now. 😄

Stop Hybrid Incarnates from being detoggled
Triumphant replied to xl8's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
You just need to spread out your toggles on your power bar a bit. I have the same issue and address it by isolating certain toggles by themselves, apart from the attack powers that I'm hammering every second, so there aren't any accidental activation/deactivations. -
Can We Stop Dogpiling, Please?
Triumphant replied to GraspingVileTerror's topic in General Discussion
While in the strictest sense, this may be true, providing some context behind the reason for your position may help others understand it, and perhaps even win you an ally. I recommend putting in a little effort to explain your position. It may be useful for others (including the Devs, who have real power to change things) to see that you have a valid point. -
Clearly you have found your SG home: Gratz, Snarky! 😄👍

Most anything with knockback/knockup. Knockdown isn't as exciting to me. Mighty Judgement with knockup. Most of the dual blades animations look very cool. Beam rifle and energy blast looks very cool. Dark themed animations with the noir theme selected. Shield Charge. Crystal and Magma effects from earth control. Most all of the savage attack animations. There are tons of great animations in this game. It's kind of hard to choose, really. Of course, there are some pretty cheesy-looking ones, too (although what looks good and what looks cheesy is entirely subjective, I suppose).

Frog heroes and Grasshopper heroes also get a pass here. And, um... Mutant Kangaroos. 😛

I don't get the complaints. This is an optional difficulty level for incarnate level players that want to enjoy challenging team play that requires a balanced team. You can literally play ALL other content in the game at the usual difficulty levels. Can you not allow us to have this one thing while you continue to enjoy the other, huge variety of content, as usual? 🤷♂️

Can We Stop Dogpiling, Please?
Triumphant replied to GraspingVileTerror's topic in General Discussion
Well, with regard to being a "Forum Cop", I think there is a very notable difference between encouraging a general attitude of friendliness and understanding, as opposed to directly confronting and chastising a specific forum member directly (encroaching on the mods territory). The former (in my view, at least) is acceptable, while the latter is not. Of course, I would be remiss if I did not admit that I HAVE been guilty of the latter, from time to time. Sometimes a person posts something that rubs you the wrong way, and you have a knee jerk reaction and start typing instead of taking a breath and considering the wisdom (or lack thereof) of your reply. This topic has been a good reminder about taking that moment of consideration before clicking the submit button, so I appreciate it for that. 👍 -
Looks like a fun ride, regardless. 😁👍

My energy/energy blaster is actually built somewhat along the lines of this philosophy. Defenses in the 30's, but knockbacks everything in sight, constantly cycling through knockback attacks, over and over again. Works surprisingly well, actually. Also, it's a heap of fun bouncing everything around. 😁

I'm torn. I do think the constant use of the /jranger meme is a bad look for our community. On the other hand, I can sympathize with those that feel a particular forum member is beating a dead horse, over and over again. This can feel like (and, perhaps is, at times) trolling. Maybe just try to be more diplomatic and less snarky (Sorry Snarky! 😛) when replying to these sorts of comments. If you really think someone is trolling, flag them for the mods, and so on. -
... okay, I'm not gonna lie, that was funny. 😄

Lol. Yeah, I guess Return to Battle could be construed as a bit of overkill (overrez?) 😛
-
I just try to keep the bar as full as I can. I've never gotten it completely full, but it usually stays at like 80+ % full once I really get my aggro on.
-
I don't know why you would spend the time and money to upgrade SO's EVERY level. You can upgrade them every 5 or so levels and that should be sufficient.
-
Or take Willpower set and get the T9. You can recharge reduction that down to 2 minutes or less. Buy Return to Battle for an extra layer of rez. If you're dying more often than that, you got yourself a serious build problem. I try to get resuscitate for my teammates, as soon as I can afford to buy it from P2W vendor.

Tanks are cool. I have a Tier 3 incarnate Rad/TW that is nigh indestructible. However, his damage output is nothing compared to my scrappers and brutes, so I can't agree with you from the damage perspective. FWIW, Blasters are the most overpowered AT, imo. Such things are subjective, of course- but I think group play bears this out. I'm looking forward to the new Doc Aeon Strike force that's coming out, as this may (hopefully) provide a challenge requiring groups to leverage a broad selection of AT's to achieve victory.
