  1. I wonder, should we tell people posting for teams in anything other than LFG that they're in the wrong channel and need to take the conversation to LFG? What about if they're asking for help in General chat, should we admonish them and tell them to take it to Help, as that is the appropriate channel to get help? The world itself is a chaotic place, insisting that it be orderly will only lead to disappointment.
  2. HT gives a pretty good stun so the immob would prevent them all from wandering off, I just really enjoy the control aspect of the sudden AoE groupflop. 😁
  3. Howling Twilight works great with just one IO> Ragnarok: Chance for KD You're welcome.
  4. Last Chance To Hit is a must for any of my characters, as it's important to know when you've only got a 6% chance to hit. Other than that, Influence is handy for when you're searching for funds and jumping around alts seeing who has money to mail, I like seeing not only various Defenses but Base Defense too, so I know I've been hit by a debuff. Damage, Recharge, and To-Hit bonuses are also nice to monitor.
  5. I'm guilty of talking in whatever chat channel I happen to be on at the time because I usually just type and don't remember to check the channel before hitting "Enter". Yeah. I'm "That Guy". I try not to be, but in the end, what's the harm? Will my faux pas be that flap of the butterfly wing which eventually brings about the downfall of humanity? Perhaps. One can hope.
  6. I take it you've seen me in AP before...
  7. I think it would require too much effort for too little result.
  8. I often say in game that there is a parallel-dimension version of the Circle of Thorns known as the "Square of Pricks".
  9. So the masochist tells the sadist, "Hurt me!", and the sadist says "No.". 😁
  10. "Curses, foiled again!" - Snidely Whiplash
  11. Consider the amount of time you've put into this post. Is the game so difficult that everyone must be min-maxed and paying attention 110% of the time? Just sayin, could be playin! 😁
  12. I remember reading that someone had "proven" Warp Drive was theoretically possible within the Laws of Physics... but that the solution required negative mass.
  13. I knew a guy back in 2002 who loved Fellowship, and wanted to read the books after seeing it. I warned him not to, that it would only ruin the remaining movies for him, but he read LOTR anyway. After The Two Towers released, he was furious at all the things changed or left out of the book. So I asked him if he still liked Fellowship? Of COURSE he did! He was willing to overlook all of the major changes in the movie which brought him to the book in the first place, but after that he would be a Tolkien Scholar(kidding of course). This type of behavior is normal, I think. As for me, I'm the Devil's advocate, I like stirring up conversations from angles others might not perceive or accept. When the masses start a new wave of conformity, I'm the one making the Emperor new clothes. The only time I'm serious is when I'm asleep. 😁
  14. The Noldor were tricked into slaying their kin the Teleri by Feanor, don't remember if Galadriel took part in it or not but I doubt she would have openly opposed Feanor. Also, I put TheOtherTed on ignore, and I apologize to everyone for my earlier dance with him/her/it earlier.
  15. I am a Certified Master Psychic by my peers.
  16. I'll take a rain check.
  17. I suppose some butchers are just better than others.
  18. Right. So the changes you approve of are perfectly fine and dandy, but any changes you don't approve of are horrible and potentially lethal. Got it.
  19. Already seen the whole series already? Nice! Good job!
  20. Amazon needs to redo LOTR verbatim, without any music(outside what is played or sung by characters in the book), and exacting detail on all of the costumes, recipes and accents in the show. True fans would be overjoyed with the Council of Elrond taking 5 episodes to complete, and I can only imagine the fanfare of old Tom Bombadil's 3 hours on screen. Yes, what we really need to do is keep it all exactly how Tolkien wrote it.
  21. I think I get it, you all don't want to see the story butchered the way it was in the LOTR Trilogy, right?
  22. Don't say that word right now, or there will be a deluge of posts from LOTR fanbots!
  23. If this is as good as WoT then yeah it should probably be better.
