  1. Fairly sure Kinetic Combat is a person doing a high kick. No idea for Ragnarok, though.... What is this supposed to be?
  2. Here are some characters that are very familiar in game, but never seem to have been added to the game. My next AE adventure will use them. ltk.costume T These are personal interpretations, of course..... gray.costumenectanebo.costumecrowley.costume ltk.costume hermes.costume joule.costume
  3. These schizophrenic settings appear to be 'features' of some of the older armor sets, especially with the ones that were exclusive to scrappers or brutes at first, like Dark Armor and Energy Aura. These sets offer stealth that is not useful in practice since they also have various damage, debuff, control, or taunt auras that break stealth and put you into combat. The stealth can only be used by turning off key powers like Entropic Aura, which is Energy's mez protection, or Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom, which are a big part of what makes Dark Armor interesting. We know that it's feasible now to make aura attacks not break stealth since blasters' Electric secondary was changed in i27. This feature should be ported to the melee defense sets that include stealth and preserve the stealthy armors' ability to set the terms of combat without losing important abilities.
  4. There's an L shaped building in Steel Canyon that's always in the way. You know the one.
  5. Not directly relevant, but..... One thing that's ever been the case AFAICR, but is a lot more noticeable after i27. It is possible to earn or obtain merit rewards, especially the reward from collecting a zone exploration accolade, without seeing the "You have earned your first Merit Reward" popup. That, instead, waits until you have run your first task force. (Not sure if it appears for running a story arc that awards merits, either). Since collecting a zone exploration accolade is a day one job for every new character now, its absence is more noticeable.
  6. To my mild astonishment I just picked up the name 'Sabra' on Torchbearer. Spines/energy scrapper.....
  7. On a Manticore, I suspect that since you probably aren't going to be controlling or bursting down the Paragon Protectors at those settings, waiting for their Moment of Glory to wear off would get quite dull.
  8. Constantly having to pop between the SG base and anywhere else to use the auction house while crafting.
  9. FWIW there are badges earned by time spent as a team leader, so a reward is already there.
  10. I go absolutely MAD with the POWER of the star, so it isn't a good idea....
  11. And yet another entry.....
  12. You can have animal NPCs in bases, and MM pets, but I haven't seen any other than Null the Gull in the world generally.
  13. On TB it has been the custom on badge runs to form a detachment of snipers to take out the Proximity Charges before they can arm themselves. Doing this requires an attack with a range of 150 feet or greater, thus the group of snipers is the only one that should engage them. I don't know any other way how to do it, and taking this out of the game would break the badge. Having to wait until all the snipers are out of combat before moving to the next would make the longest and slowest trial even longer and slower.
  14. This may work poorly with the Underground Trial as currently constituted, and may well make Preservation Specialist, and the master badge, unobtainable.
  15. Having defeated a fair number of Warriors over the past week while Numina was the weekly, there does seem to be a pecking order among Talos gangs: Freakshow > Warriors > Circle of Thorns This seems odd in itself. The enhanced Freakshow routinely dominate the natural Warriors, which makes some sense; but then the Warriors seem to routinely prevail ocwe and have a running conflict with the Circle, ordinary citizens given drastic magical powers by Oranbega spirits. This makes a bit less sense to me, and craves an explanation. My preference would be to play up the Greco-Roman aesthetic of the group and downplay the 1980s movie, which situated them in a world full of colorful uniformed gangs. Giving them natural tending powersets like Titan Weapons, Archery and Devices would make sense.
  16. Few things make me happier than finding another player who gets my Firesign Theatre references.
  17. Market Crash is also listed as a trial, not a TF. so it's on a separate page from the ITF. Or maybe Imperious just happened to be hanging out there, admiring the big blue emptiness.
  18. I have several characters that are slotted to excel while exemped. The main one is a fire/regen scrapper; there are others. There are some real gems in enhancement sets that peter out at 30 or 35. The Kismet global to hit boost is always worthwhile. Kinetic Combat is another famous one; my standard slotting at 50 for most melee attacks is four of them and either a single Accuracy or an Acc/Dam Hami-O. The knockdown proc is very useful, especially in a fast low level attack, and adds the equivalent of defense; do not knock it. Other sets that are worth looking at are Basilisk Gaze for holds and Theft of Essence for accurate heals. For melee AoE, Multi-Strike has valuable survival bonuses that can be ridden from 17 to 50. If you have shedloads of reward merits on another character, like I tend to, slot your ATOs early. I start with any proc ATOs and the Acc/Dam; for two slots in the power you have something that will set you up for life. The ATO procs are game changers for blasters, scrappers, and stalkers, and almost always handy for anyone else.
  19. Joan Baez - There But for Fortune
  20. Yet another instance of my never ending quest to create very short and high concept bios!
  21. The Spokesmen - Dawn of Correction
  22. I usually slot one in Against All Odds on a shield character. It works.
  23. I noticed this a lot during the Valentine event, where pure heroes would receive holiday tips that tried to send them to talk to Rogue Isles NPCs. These characters typically use their hero alignment power frequently, and as such couldn't do this without losing it for a week.
  24. The Osmonds - Down by the Lazy River
