  1. I can see a lot of ways to approach this (some of which apparently I have been subconsciously following). One way (which is not the way I've been going) is to pick the "best" secondary for each primary (or "best" primary for each secondary) and then spend some thought on how to mix and match your non-pairing sets. This way you'll end up with a few fantastic matchups and a few complete stinkers. Another way is to look at primaries and secondaries in ways that they can complement each other. Some examples that come to mind: Attack sets with a +def power (like katana) matched with defense sets that are light on defense. Endurance-light offensive sets (like claws) with endurance-heavy defense sets (like dark armor) or vice versa Click protection sets (like super reflexes) with knockback-heavy sets (like battle axe). This one works for me in two ways: 1. KB is a good mitigation tool that buys you activation time; 2. I don't like having both Hasten and a click protection set since I'm only going to put one on auto-fire. I know there are ways around this, but I don't care enough about using macros extensively.
  2. Of the 10mm+ on offer, approximately 10mm are posted by the devs at a price of 100,000. That’s been true since HC launched.
  3. Two weeks later I look in and see most (not all) of my offerings have been lifted. It looks like even "sell it nao" prices are better profit per merit than converters. Put more of these on the market, folks! This has been a huge thorn in my side for many many weeks now. I cannot reliably claim more than a few items at a time, even pulling off one booster at a time from Character Items. I don't know about anyone else, but the inability to take things off my Character Items has seriously altered how I'm involved in the /AH nowadays. I'm not the type of entity who is going to exchange merits for enhancement boosters and sell them (I exchange them for converters and use them), but I certainly would be willing to sell some of the boosters I have in C.I. if it wasn't such a pain in the ass to get them off there and into my real inventory.
  4. This is actually something I've noticed for quite some time. There seems to be a lot less supply for offer on most things, both finished goods (like yummy crafted PvP IOs) and raw materials (like random yellow recipes). I suspect that's in part due to the fact that chronic marketers like myself are producing a lot less supply. Personally I've been doing that because, frankly, I don't really have enough time in my day as it is and the profit motive isn't enough to encourage me to keep the shelves stocked like I used to.
  5. In my experience, purples, reds, and greens almost always pay 5 digits when you insta-sell (with purples usually the highest and greens usually the lowest). Maybe not always 50k, but at least 10k in my recent experience. 50k is not unheard of, but if you are going to list it at 5, expect to get a lot lower. But your mileage may vary. Generally in the inspiration market people are either buying it nao or selling it nao so you can drive a truck through the bid-offer spread.
  6. I'm not being the least bit sarcastic when I tell you that the way to make billions is to do the same things you do to make millions, but do it a thousand times more.
  7. I got and filled one request today. In case that wasn't you, send me an ingame email to @Yomo and I'll send you 20mm. This offer is open to everyone, but only once per account. I don't traffic in Crystal Skulls. Too "Legacy"-ish. (I suddenly realize that Legacy salvage is seeded. I have no idea at what price!) For the most part, your influence earning on a brand new character will have you at a deficit until you get to a certain level (let's arbitrarily call it level 40) where you start producing more inf. There are all kinds of ways to earn/accumulate vast quantities of inf though -- I aggregated a "Guide to Market Guides" on the Guides forum if you have interest. I don't have the link to it handy, but it shouldn't be to difficult to track down!
  8. Bananas are yellow. You know what else is yellow? DOUBLE RAGE CRASHES!!!
  9. Nononononono, you don't crush them. You cut them! Use that -20 res to lethal!
  10. I'm guessing many of those come from radio missions, but there are some good names in there! I'm ok with the Carnival of Light. Carnival of War and Carnival of Vengeance seem to me to be pretty lame organizations that don't really know what the word "Carnival" means. I might Ouro some of those missions, but I'm pretty focused on the task at hand. I'm sleepless with anticipation. Terror, sorry I meant to say terror, not anticipation.
  11. Clearly you need to feed it some yellow salvage!
  12. This was more from a leveling standpoint, but I hope it covers the basics.
  13. I'm intrigued. Go on. I'm always willing to accept my errors.
  14. So, I don't like the Carnival of Shadows. Well, let me say, rather, that my character, The Coulrophobic Avenger *really* doesn't like Carnival. So I'm on a quest to get her to vanquish as many of them as possible. I realize they run from 30-40(+) on redside and 40-50 on blueside. I'm looking for a sanity check (lol) to see how to go about this. Right now I plan on being on redside starting at 30 so I can do all the story arcs that have them as enemies. Run my patron (probably Scirocco but I need to go back for Ghost Widow) then go blueside for Madeline Casey and Harvey Maylor. My story source so far is all story arcs that have Carnival of Shadows as opponents: I'm surprised that there are so few blueside arcs, but hey, blueside hates a challenge! What am I missing? I know there are plenty of radio/paper missions but I'm looking for content. Thanks in advance!
  15. white is 10k yellow is 100k orange is 1mm
  16. Right? I don't see a problem if I have to spend 10k more influence for yellows. It's a drop in the bucket if I'm making 2mm profit per craft. And presumably anyone who needs cash inf, who are presumably the most needy, are getting a windfall? Nope, I have no problems with uncommon salvage right now, except it's harder to buy it in short order.
  17. I call this one, "My eyes are up here, Dave." This one I think of as "That funky Monday" And right now, I call this one, "Da fuq, bub?"
  18. I've been buying a *lot* lately. This whole "cannot open superpacks or claim items from Character Items" has been really grating on me lately.
  19. Honestly, I start all my alts at +1/x1 right out of training. I may be optimistic, but I think +3/x8 is doable without too much problem on that tank. Tanks are super easy. I just dinged 17 on her, and she is running at +2/x3. Accuracy and AoE damage ftw.
  20. I find it interesting what the mods lock and what they jut plain make disappear. Was OP mentally deranged? Maybe. Were they the victims of bad translating software? Maybe. But they weren't spamming viruses as far as I can tell. I continue to welcome our professional drama overlords.
  21. No it isn't. If they are going to run, front load the damage with procs.
  22. If you look at them in isolation, many of the ancillary pools are ridiculously overpowered, depending on the AT. Their design is presumably based on the idea that they will exploit the powers in their primary/secondary. Based on the aforementioned pool power rules (only primary/secondary for first 3 powers), squishies can get as much or more mitigation than melee alts. I'd kill to get controller ancillaries on scrappers. Well, I'd be willing to use harsh words.
  23. Or start using Ben Gay.
