Patch Notes for January 25th, 2020
SwitchFade replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Patch Notes
This is on live, perhaps this can be tested on beta as well, Live results to attempt to duplicate here 50 sentinel, water/SR Pool powers: tough, weave and assault No provokes or taunts 50 +4/8 PI story arc missions, various, warriors, shadows, etc Whirlpool causes foes to scatter and run just outside of dot much more than before. Before, a few foes would scatter. Now, they all flee. -

Ok, a bit of testing feedback 50+1 inv/ss tank Cardiac t4, assualt t4, reactive t4 Fully io'd with purples and ATO's +4/8 battle maiden map Taunt does not drive warriors to close to melee. Consistently, when taunted they stand at range firing. Multiple applications did not change this, they stayed at range. This was with 13-16 does aggroed. Damage feels good, noticable increase. Foot stomp hits plenty of targets, very happy. Crosspunch arc is good! Hits satisfyingly, plenty of targets, good damage. Air sup+cross punch(sup avalanche in it)=guaranteed knockback, io set is bugged confirmed Overall, my tank feels great. Not overpowered, not underpowered a good increase in damage and enjoyably playable. Does not tread on a brute, as a brute kills faster. After fixing bugs this feels spot on for a v1.0 baseline. Next up I'll exempt down to low levels to test. Then make a new tank to test. -
$30 on it. Great job Devs!

Text is so hard to interpret, isn't it? I hope we can all breathe deep and let go of any misinterpreted text. I feel, personally, that the Dev team is doing an amazing job and I'm sure no one thinks any less. I'm glad we're all very supportive. I may not always be the best at data collection, but in an effort to focus on a fast patch, perhaps we can limit our postings to data verification and test feedback? I'll endeavor to stick to this myself as well! -

Hmm. I'm unsure where exactly to go, other than direct you to "search-fu" the plethora of other threads about difficulty. Therein you will find a wealth of information regarding both side of this topic and help enlighten you as to how to enjoy the game and make it more difficult. And thus, I must... jranger this. -

Apologies, but that is slightly silly. I took rage very late in my build and it was fun either way. The rage crash, contrary to the reception that it does something akin to deleting system32 file, is not much of an issue, it's just a facet of the game. In fact, my inv/ss tank doesn't even notice it -

Even though it was mentioned in several places that it would not be, in this patch? -

Concerning your comment regarding brute damage CHANGE: I highly doubt this. Please have them post actual data. Achieving the old brute damage cap was difficult, even under ideal conditions. Further, at 700% damage, on a team with team contributed damage, it would be unlikely that the missing 75% would be noticeable. In broken AE farm content, this is a welcome boundary. -
Just as a point of reference for the whole CoH family, These will be a buff. It may be advisable that these buffs start small and adjust upwards from there. These changes should be published as a baseline, allowing more focused adjustment later. In essence, - Publish a small buff, v1.0, and refine from there - Said buff should allow reference for individual set changes - Patience, the changes will be an improvement, allowing future refinement

I'm sorry, but this is erroneous. Sr has Debuff resist Scaling damage resist Increased movement speed Increased recharge Slow resist It has been shown time and again to be one of the most potent late game scrap, tank and sentinel sets. It also does this with less slotting than others, allowing more flexibility. My SR characters are nigh unkillable

If you nerf infinity, you must... NERF BEYOND!!!
-
Nuh-uh.
-
Nerf Myrmidon. And Regen. Nerf pie. Nerf cake.
-
Has anyone mentioned it? Lets Nerf Regen. Twice. And also Titan weapons. And bio. Also, Nerf forums. And Nerf brutes. Nerf everything but 6 slot brawl. Then, Nerf that too. Pwntersauce everything. Three ways from Sunday. 😁😁😁

Limit certain spawns in close proximity?

I have to vote no, unfortunately. The specific mission you're discussing is quite easy to solo, let alone in teams. Raider engineers are quite easy to deal with and if they do happen to spawn force fields, they're not difficult to handle. My regular leveling routine is street sweep to 5, hit the hollows for Wincott, flux, Julius and talsok which takes you from 5-15, then over to faultline. I do this solo and teams on every toom, controller to blaster and all in between with no issues. Even the EB's are easy, be ready and drop 4 purples, 1 yellow and 3 reds, on any AT they die before the insps run out. The game is already city of facerofl, it doesn't need to be easier. I must jranger. -
Earth/storm/Earth controller here... Hurl Boulder is garbage.

Sr is less popular due to the fact it matures very late. And until is matures you are a bit shaky. Once it matures, nigh unkillable. My Sr scrap has 55% def to all positions 49% s/l res (30-40s others) Scaling resist increase Huge res debuff resistance Move speed increase Recharge increase Slow resistance Etc... Sr is best played at 45+ which is why it is less popular. But at 50? I run headlong into anything without a care. I facetank GM's, AV's and everything in between. It's that good
