  2. One of the things I love about DCUO is that you can have your powers come out of your weapons, but I would want that as an option you can set for each power.
  3. Back on live, I named my thugs after the Outsiders. I named my soldiers after Kelly's Heroes. My bots were named after classical composers.

  7. I prefer fire/ice. Ice gets its sustain aura at level 10 with some nice effects along with the other nice powers /ice gets
  8. Mace to the face does have a nice ring to it!
  9. Grant cover is another place to stick a LotG +recharge in.
  10. When I was thinking about making a tank, i made up an ice build that seemed pretty good, but I hear ice is bad for brutes as it slows down fury gain. Another build I made on Justin as a tanker was shield. You actually swing the hammers with one hand.
  11. I am looking to make a brute tank using stone melee for the kd and lulz. Why a brute tank instead of a tanker tank? DPS. I figure it is much easier to make a brute into a tank than it is to make a tanker into a dps machine. My two questions are: Which secondary fits best for my goal? Are there any skipable powers from stone or your suggested secondary? Thanks.

  13. I figure that since most sets give you 10 points of kb protection, I would shoot for at least that. Karma has the other kb io in it and there are sets that give 3 pts as a set bonus.

  15. Doesn't Intuition also boost defense or is it nerve? Which ever one it is I think doesn't have recharge on it.
  16. My problem is that I get caught up in the numbers. I see the resist cap and defense soft caps and try to reach all of them along with having a heal that is around 20 seconds or lower. I am not sure it can be done effectively on a brute. I have been trying with a stone/dark which also means I have to also worry about end.
  17. How do you rate the need for a good reliable heal (recharge 0f 20 or less seconds after haste) in relation of resist and defense layering? Of course having a good heal is great, but that limits you to certain armors and dark melee(?) . This is what got me thinking about a tank character after all. I would do random summer events, trails and TFs and sometimes have no tank and struggle or have no heals or buff/debuffs and struggle. I decided I would make a tank that could heal itself and hopefully have some good buffs or debuffs.
  18. If you are asking what I think you are, you can hover your mouse over the edge of the UI and drag it into a bigger size. I tend to drag the bottom to get everything in the window without needing to scroll.
  19. I have been trying to find a way to leave one on auto fire while setting another up to fire when I attack. The problem I am running into is that it works for the first attack, but will not fire the attack off. I keep getting the power is recharging error instead of the attack. I tried bind 1 "powexecslot 1$$powexecname Hasten" I have also tried using to bind files to switch between hasten and and slot 1 which I think worked a bit better. Coffee hasn't kicked in yet.
  20. Something I pondered in another thread is about ranged defense vs melee for tanks. It seems to me that the majority of the melee attacks will have a S/L component to them, while the exotic attacks without S/L in them will be mostly ranged. Would we get better mileage out of soft capped S/L and ranged?
  21. Maybe when you teleport to that location, the game puts a tp pad there to move your character to so they had to have the pad do the damage or make it where the game had to put off the damage until the server fully synced your new location.
  22. You can go on the test server and fully kit your build out to test it at level 50. The only place I know to go to is DA where there are level 54 mobs.
  23. It makes me wonder what is needed at end game. Tanks of any flavor not needed, Healers not needed. Controllers say they are not needed. Whats left? An 8 man team of Elct/Shield scrappers?
  24. I just created a stalker named Shocking Conclusion. Not exactly grammar related, but more literary.
  25. I have read that at end game, brutes can tank just as well as tankers while doing way more damage. I decided to take an end game tank build and made it is a brute with the same powers, slots, and sets except for the ATOs. The results were about 10% less defense across the board and 10 to 20% less resists. So where is this mythical brute tank?
