I think The Boys version was FAR more uplifting and pro-female than the garbage in A:E. Although I will add that when I saw A:E in the theater I grinned a lot when Thanos headbutted CM and she didn't flinch. And the look she gave before he punched the crap out of her with a power stone infused smash was genuinely well acted.
Just think The Boys is a vastly more realistic view of how most humans would be with super powers.
True statement. I've always avoided gloom on my claws users due to redraw but now that we can just run with no redraw it makes little sense to avoid it other than needing to go Nrg/Body Mastery for more end.
I did the Werner rules ITF without DN or RoP on my SR/Claws. DN will make it safer but you don't need RoP at all. Be sure to crank up your Nrg/NegNrg DR though.
I generally look at as a place for an apocalypse set. I always need another 10% more recharge. Although.... maybe on the tank or brute I could just make sure I have enough global recharge to push followup, gloom, focus, slash and get a couple more procs in there....
Max diff, no faceplants (and this means no cheating with the base porter macro,) no temps, no amps, no insps, enemies buffed ITF. Go do that successfully and then we'll discuss one's ability to tank.
Fire/Bio. Hands down.
I've done beam/bio, fire/nin, fire/sr, ice/sr, rad/regen, nrg/inv, nrg/nrg and those are just the ones I've not deleted within a few levels.
For absolute purity of tankmagery goodness, fire/bio all the way.
Gets worse:
Combustion leads the way in suck with a 3 sec cast, then BoF AND FSC at 2.67 and THEN the T9 GFS comes in at 2.33. It's awful across the board.
Edit: Oh right, scraps and brutes don't even get combustion.
Except for curbs when you've got rooted on. Loses all viability right there.
Stone is garbage. Is it the absolutely toughest possible set in the game? Hell yea! But you sacrifice SO much when you can make other sets sturdy ENOUGH without those sacrifices.
I say this with a stone/ma tank. Cuz rooted-granite feet to the face is funny. But it's not my goto character for anything other than a smirk.
All true. I cranked up a shielder on beta and was rather surprised at just how sturdy it is on a tank.
Edit: I'm still trying to figure out how the bio users pulled it off.
Brawl and the origin starter powers are all I know of. I avoid power pool attacks because of it. All the weapon sets have the same issue. Claws, at least, has the no redraw option in power customization. I'm unsure if TW has that option.
Considering you have to use TF to get the 1sec cast ET, it'd probably be best to add both cast times and damage together. That said, considering the numbers I've been seeing come out of beta, EM certainly appears to be THE ST DAMAGE KING, especially with proc-monster builds.
Merit gain isn't arguable. Speed runs are the way to go if that's your goal.
And my team will be leveling faster while we have said fun. No argument that fun is subjective.
