  1. Not sure if anyone else is seeing this issue but I've noticed today that when I try to post a comment in which there are at least 2 nested quotes (quoting someone who has quoted another poster) ahead of my own comment that it never posts to the thread but instead get redirected to a blank page with a url like: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/board,2/action,post2.html I had no issue posting a comment, and was able to 'preview' the post with 2 nested quotes, but when I add a comment and attempt to preview. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php?action=post2;start=0;board=2
  2. I general--at least for me--the reason I don't comment in a thread is because the OP's thread title was too generic and required one to enter the thread to know what the discussion or their question was about. "You know what...?" "OMG, I just found..." "I have a question" A little more detail in the Subject would likely cut down on thread divers that have nothing to add or comment on when they enter the thread and find out that they have nothing to add or comment on. /: As for as tells in-game or in social media; I for one check FB maybe once every 3-4 days, in-game the only thing I ignore are blind invites but most of my chatting is done in Discord vc with the people I play with who also happen to be the same people I played with in Legacy CoH that I've kept in tough with since the game was shuttered.
  3. My thoughts exactly. It has Blizzard, which threw tons of money into marketing. CoH had NCsoft, which threw scraps.
  4. Greetings and welcome aboard! Just remember that when you get home you will need to make an account for the game itself, as it is separate from your forums login, Just mentioning it because I've seen others reporting login issues because they are trying to use their forums account or original CoH account to login. :) Also, there are shout-out threads down in the Reconnect section for servers and groups that folks have been announcing their return and hoping to get in touch with folks they used to play with. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/board,40.0.html
  5. Just earlier today I was looking at all the fan videos posted in the archived forums HERE. (Though the videos won't view directly in the archives, you have to copy just the video url without the archive url.) I was trying to find the Kronos Titan vs Steel Canyon exploding building video.
  6. They may be using a bind, but I believe the stance you are referring to is the Idle pose Villain 2. I believe you can hover with the pose, unsure if you can actually move without coming out of the pose.
  7. Well...you are a big part of the HC community...everyone who has helped with this is part of HC...even HC mods/devs are helping out...Can we pitch a case to HC to have them host the forums and include the overhead in their monthly goals? A.) They have a scalable hosting model B.) Funding can be consolidated C.) It doesn't increase their legal exposure...and if it's a static forum tool, the support would be minimal and supplied by yourself... Thoughts? I mean it's HC's call, but since we are supporting them, I feel we have a voice... As I've always said "If you don't ask, then the answer is no."
  8. GoFundMe? I'm currently seeking employment, but I could chip in a few inf for the duration.
  9. I'm getting the server timeout error now, whether I parse a single file or multiples. Errors.log
  10. I am not a search guru when it comes to servers, since I've never needed the use of one. The only thing I've been able find so far that came close is https://www.tier.net/infrastructure
  11. I threw it into Suggestions thread that it'd be nice if we had a Fun & Games section.
  12. Either in the Reply or Preview option of posting, you'll see: + Attachments and other option Click on it.
  13. Is the file too big to attach to your post?
  14. I grabbed the latest build and on one large file and I am see a new line popping up regularly in the console. "Adding User <######> in thread <######>
  15. He PK. I see the changes you did to the parser. I'm am now getting an error text file and associated .warc file moved to a sub-directory. When I look in the error text files, I do not see a file mentioned in the error. You original popup error (while not copy-able, listed the associated file right at the top. I have appended the numerical portion of the .warc file that was in the error sub-directory. When it's only 1 file not a big issue, but one of my sub-folders had 3 files in it with 1 error file that has multiple entries and no indication as to which error belongs to which file. Errors-24942-20120906-170948.log Errors.log
  16. I am on the road, so not really able to contribute further until I get home sometime tomorrow.
  17. Finally finished the 3.4m file I started at 3:30... whew. I am now parsing the following: boards.cityofheroes.com-threads-range-27851-20120906-050401 boards.cityofheroes.com-threads-range-11881-20120905-014249 boards.cityofheroes.com-threads-range-12360-20120905-044715 boards.cityofheroes.com-threads-range-11936-20120904-182407 boards.cityofheroes.com-threads-range-16457-20120907-063526 boards.cityofheroes.com-threads-range-11231-20120911-085820 boards.cityofheroes.com-threads-range-12767-20120906-235325 boards.cityofheroes.com-threads-range-11242-20120904-020055
  18. You can run multiple instances of the parser .exe. As mentioned above, once you get the files extracted, you can create multiple folders and drag multiple .warc files into each of them. Then each time you launch the parser, just point to a different folder. Once all of my folders have been parsed, I will usually run the parser on the main folder to auto-delete any files someone else has parsed in the meantime. I've been running chunks of similar sized files, but PK may call on folks to proceed by file name, that way people can call out a section of files they are parsing at any given time, to minimize overlap.
  19. Parsing error
  20. Siphon Speed + Inertial Reduction
  21. I just got that timeout as well. Is this maybe a problem with larger files, or just bad luck? I was running 4 separate chunks of 20k files, could just be a hiccup anywhere along the internet. I am also currently parsing boards.cityofheroes.com-threads-range-12058-20120912-121713 which is a 3.4MB file so I believe it will take a while.
  22. Maybe an error message that's a little more NCSoft on the eyes? I'm no Paragon of virtue when it comes to this though... Nice pun, although the error messages would have been generated by Paragon Studios and were not always helpful. I recalled talking to one of the Devs way back in the day and he relayed a story regarding their move to Jira for bug tracking and that it auto-generated tickets for player-generated bugs using the reporting system. Bug ticket #1 was by a player, who'd description of their issue was "Shit's broke, fix it." Funny as hell but not at all helpful.
  23. Big parse error this time around.
  24. Have all of the 1m+ files been parsed already? I actually tried to run a parse of the full folder to remove already parsed files but none of those were deleted.
