David Weber's Into the Light (Book 2 of Out of the Dark series) has a different take on vampires involving alien technology.

It seems that every time I go back to play Secret World, it's been so long that I can't remember how to play and I end up re-rolling and starting over again anyway.

Another reason is that the majority of CoH occurs in instances rather than open world, unlike most other MMO's then or now.

The folks in charge of CoH were dedicated and loved the game as much as we did, their overlords were the idiots. Just to be clear. 😄 And welcome back!

Favourite parody movie is Hudson Hawk, which plays a really big homage to Our Man Flint/In Like Flint, themselves being spoofs of the spy movies of the day like Bond. It went so far as to star James Coburn (who played Flint) and one easter egg was of Flint's phone/watch alarm tone was the tone of the musical handcuffs used on Hudson Hawk. It also has great music. 🙂

I have sub'd several times over the years as well. I'm glad that the teaming restrictions/requirements don't awing in the other way and force teaming on you. I've leveled several characters to 70 completely solo and enjoyed the stories along the way. It's been a while since I've logged in and played and it seems that every time I do I have forgotten how to play whatever character I choose to log onto. <.<

Illusion/Empathy Controller with Concealment PP and Psionic Mastery Ancillary if you so choose. Regarding any of Illusions that cause direct damage, Phantom Army, Phantasm, Spectral Wounds etc, they can all be argued that it's the target's mind causing the damage, not the Illusionist.

You shouldn't have to reinstall the game, and you most definitely don't need to reinstall the OS. If you have created data folder and sounds subfolder for modifying in-game sounds, you only need to rename those sfx files and the game will go back to using the original sfx. For example 'BR_CuttingBeam_Attack_01.ogg' can be renamed '_BR_CuttingBeam_Attack_01.ogg'. This is usually the easiest way to narrow down the problem. Also see several posts above yours, if you are using the Tequila launcher or HC launcher, the steps may be different. Other than that I recommend following the link in my or @Solarverse's sig to their main thread.

Technically... yes. In Legacy one of the devs was mucking about in the base code (which was a nightmare) and inadvertently activated the base defense items to attack anyone who entered. It wasn't like that for long, but some folks thought it was great fun. People have clamored for base raids since the Legacy devs shut it down and have asked HC to allow them as well, unfortunately with the base editing abilities that have been granted by devs it's not something that will be likely due to pathing. The only way I can see something like your danger room or base raids to happen is for a different version of bases to be implemented that would have their own set of rules and allowed functionality.
