  1. Not really. I've recreated quite a few characters from Legacy, but made many more that are new. My Namesake character is identical the the character I had on Legacy, across all servers. I tend to play support so I roll a lot of Controllers, Doms, Corruptors and Defenders. All with different looks.
  2. I think you're missing out, not having played Gold side. If you want to experience all the story arcs for Resistance and Loyalists, you can do so through judiciously turning off XP and turn-coating. Gold side is definitely geared towards experienced/veteran players as the mobs tend to be more difficult or at least ramp up more quickly. That Resistance and Loyalists both have two factions; moderate and extremists/militant, makes it even more interesting. Add double-dealing into the mix... recipe for interesting times. There were players that made it to L50 in Legacy prior to First/Night Wards being added so you could only level by teaming with other Praetorians that hadn't yet immigrated to Primal Earth. If we (Praetorians) could get a path to Cimerora, then their journey is almost complete. After all, there are still iTrials. How gratifying do you think it would be for a L50 Resistance fighter to take down the BAF?
  3. I've not re-run the Praetorian arcs yet but does any Praetorian lore include alternate dimensions? Outside of the hole between Primal and Praetorian Earths? Edit: Tina Macintyre's arc relates to an invasion by Anti-Matter called "The Praetorian War" that existed prior to Going Rogue, but was updated with the release of GR. So what's to say there hadn't been other incursions by Anti-Matter. Perhaps the labs were under First Ward and were cut off when Hamidon attacked.
  4. Thanks for the info, @Number Six , I'm sure quite a few people here would appreciate that. 🙂
  5. Compared to Legacy I'm sure there are a larger percentage of the players that also peruse the forums, but there are likely still plenty that never spend any time here that play they game often.
  6. I do not believe so, I think they are set at 5 level increments. Crafting a L45 is half the cost of a L50 and the % of the boost from 45 to 50 is pretty slim, usually only a couple of percentage points. I'm talking about costs for standard IOs, not Set IOs. I just looked on the AH and Standard IOs crafting costs for a L50 range from about 180k-465k depending, obviously recipes for Damage and Acc and the like are at the top of the scale. I think it odd that they all do not have the same cost based on level.
  7. Perhaps a sliding scale then? I can see maybe 350k at the top not being so off-putting, especially for folks that don't make tonnes of inf through fire farms/marketeering. Granted, you can bite the bullet and craft towards memorization, that halves the costs.
  8. Sade - Paradise
  9. Why the heck did the Charmed Ones never put a protection spell on their house to A.) Keep demons out, and B.) reduce/eliminate damage? I always found that annoying.
  10. What we need are improvements to the AH and crafting, salvage costs aside 500k to craft standard L50 IOs is excessive. For Sets, sure, but standard IOs cost for crafting should be halved. Stacks should be increased to 99 for selling/buying, along with a 1-click button to dump all of your common salvage and/or recipes on the market. In SWToR, you could have your minion take all of your "trash" and sell it, we need something that makes selling your undesirables just as easy.
  11. My fault entirely. Total brain-fart on that one, I blame it on the late hour. 🙂 Glad you figured it out. Yeah, even male feet are booted, they're just a lower pitch than female so it's less noticeable. To get a softer sound we'd have to swap it out with something like carpet sfx or perhaps sand.
  12. I too have the maps mod, it shouldn't have any affect on the playing of sfx. Not sure what else the issue could be. 😞 I will have to keep hunting.
  13. Not that it should matter but have you closed and restarted Tequila? If you have access to a base and have edit permissions, you can test the replaced files. Use the /sg_music <filename> to changes your bases music to the file you want to hear. You'll need to up your music volume to hear and since they are not loops, they will only play once. Then you should know if the modified sfx are playing or the original.
  14. Extract these and put them in the 'Feet' folder. Feet2.7z
  15. So this may not affect everything, I just grabbed most of the hard surfaces and duped the male feet sfx and renamed them with the female sfx file names. Extracting the files should place them in a 'Feet' folder and you should be able to drop the folder with all the sound files into your data\ogg folder. If you do not have a data folder within your CoH file directory, you will need to create it, then within the data folder create an ogg folder, and then drop the Feet folder into the ogg folder. Feet.7z
  16. Not necessarily. If you provide further info, those of us used to sfx delving can probably locate them.
  17. @ArchVileTerror so do you have issue with Khallisti Wharf regardless? Or only during costume contests/events?
  18. You would first need to identify what surfaces where you hear footfall sounds that you don't like. Like sidewalks, street, tile, etc. Also, is your character female, male, or huge? This is important to know, so that any replacement files are named correctly. You can do this by running around in zones or missions, but you can also edit your base to have a room full of different surfaces. With all my delving into sounds, 'Feet' sounds are probably the most numerous. So try to mark down whenever you can, what surfaces you hear the hard-heeled boot sound, that way we can try to catch them all.
  19. It's fairly easy to do yourself. There are quite a few 'fet' sounds depending on body type and the surface being walked on though. (Over 350 actually).
  20. They do still have legs, tho. Now that they got the farmer off, I'm sure it'll be walking just fine shortly.
  21. Pretty much. When it comes to Proc's I'll try to go for the lowest level available for the set.
  22. I think what most players do is craft L50 Uncommon recipes, because they are less likely to require Rare salvage, then use converters to get a Rare Enh.
  23. After following this entire thread, plus numerous others that have popped up, the only selfishness I've seen stated or hinted at is "You've ruined my farming, guess I won't be giving away any more inf."
  24. Agreed.
  25. Along those lines I'd like to see the majority of the gloves be available on the Monstrous/Zombie style hands.
