IIRC they didn't really do a release notes for the Winter Event this year *shrug* I'd like to see it last longer too, or be available in some form all year round (like what's-his-name the mission giver always in the ski chalet etc.).

I saw a number of posts, well, 3 or so, that said it was the best thing to put into Dark Regen. Sadly I'm not Dark/Dark so no T of E for me I guess. This build is never going to get finished!

I've got the Theft of Essence in the Dark Regen power, but it doesn't seem to proc too often, here and there I get into longer fights and see the End run low and pop that with my fingers crossed, but... IIRC, My Health's got Miracle: Recovery, Numina's Regen/Recovery, and Panacea's %. I slotted those ASAP while I was leveling up and still had End problems, as one does. I suppose I could drop the least effective for the the Regen Tissue, as I've learned to work around/live with the End issues anyway.

My build's still in flux, but I have given that consideration. Because Dark Armor, I already have the three Healing procs that give out End, slotting Health with 4 feels wrong somehow... this toon's in her late 30s and End has never NOT been a problem. But I am still giving it some strong consideration.

I figured there must be some way to look for this sort of thing in City of Data but I guess I was too dense to find it. Thanks Major! (I do kinda think +25% regen for 120 seconds can be useful though, as I'm running a resistance armor set...)

Simple question that I really should know by now: if I put one of the healing procs in a power you apply to another player such as Aid Other, when it goes off do I get the benefit of it, or does the person I clicked it on? If it helps, I'm specifically looking at Regenerative Tissue: Regeneration.

Just over the last couple of days I saw two or three really hitting the general channel looking for members; one was even vig/villain-based. Have to admit I thought about it... but then I'm also thinking about making my own... and retooling that Mercs MM... and fixing my current toon's build... and... and... and...

I don't run tons of 50-only content, so I tend to get a purp maybe once a quarter or so? That said, I've had two in the past week and a half - a real rarity for me! Then again, I didn't get one during the Halloween event which used to be a given for me. So that fat guy in the red suit owed me!

Also, saw a bunch of people in chat when I got back on saying they'd been snapped too.

Yup - and in a supreme bit of irony, it broke apart a Katie Hannon PUG we had just started after some, well, let's say "ignorance of the mechanics" and leave it at that. A couple of players took that as their omen to bow out.

This would raise the question of "shouldn't this name have been caught by the filter?" We do still have a filter right? I know there's all sorts of ways to try and get around it like the trick of using a numeral 1 for an L, etc. and the filter can't know them all...

This is why I loved my stalker back in the day. 😃

Ha! I've had a few go this badly, but not terribly often. I almost always PUG as I don't have an SG or a group of repeating/returning friends in-game (*sniff*), and I generally have much better luck than this. I did do a Katie Hannon with you a month or two ago, also a PUG, that went just fine, so it's not all sour grapes and out of control ninjas!

No idea. I don't hoard names nor feel overly protective of them, until they're mine; then I'd like to keep it of course. But I have no idea what my next name is going to be until the urge to make a new toon coalesces into the idea for the build.

@Spaghetti Betty I'm currently working on a creature of the night and finding some ideas from your Raven's Land there, but what are those red things on the shoulders/skin? I'm guessing one of those tattoo options?

I don't mind playing support, and like to make changes, so I'd say a not-stalker, just to keep things fresh.

I thought that was always pretty variable, if not a bit rare? I once had a whole AE arc planned out to explain why some Banished Pantheon would be named "Mac" and working in a floor show, but then AE broke and I don't really do those much any more, too frustrating.

I believe Energy Aura has a good rep on Stalkers. I have one with it and he did play pretty well, so you'd be off to a good start with that choice I think.

Funnily enough I just did that one the other day, but not my Bamf-tatstic stalker. I was playing an Ice Control/Savage Melee Dom that had some BAMF, but ultimately spent her time defending the core by dropping Ice Slick etc. around it. Being such a catwalk-centric mission though, you're right, that would be great for a serious BAMF toon. I keep pulling mine out for some fun - might even consider him my main, at least for now? - so I'll have to see if I can't find the time to get him on one of those too.

I am well aware. But having to assemble a team/league and then zone is for some reason much more difficult and time consuming that just broadcasting "WL is at [coordinates]!" One of the first days of the winter event (as I;m not sure exactly when it began???), I started up a team to do it and it took a solid ten minutes or something. Not at all the same time investment of scouting for the next GM for a mere six reward merits. Come to think of it, it also takes longer to beat down the group of snowmen in the WL instanced map than it does to pull down a GM in a city zone.

I'm still trying to parse "red flags" - like what, he expected to wake up in a tub of ice water to find all his purple slots stolen or something????

The other day I joined a ... league I think, not just a team, that was trauling through Atlas looking for presents so we could spawn Winter Lord. I joined them after there was already like ten folk signed up, and it still took like a good ten minutes of criss-crossing the city and playing whack-a-mole with the glowies; we were so efficient that I don't think I even got to see a present for the last few minutes, heh. But then it took awhile, the league dropped most of its members... time went by... now Winter Lord... It felt awfully random is what I'm saying, and rare. I almost wish he was like the GMs from ToT, the second he's defeated, he spawns elsewhere. That GM farming is fun!
