  1. I went in with Artemian... Poor Arte. I got him SO lost in there. Great fun, though. 👍
  2. Another fun individual pick was for Code Mordred (DB/Bio Stalker), one of the Ordus Chronos time-travelers.... Morgan's a real grump of a character... One of my thorn-wielders, who ended up shattering his blade against the hide of a particularly nasty Battalion war-beast during the second battle of Agincourt. He's grouchy. He's stubborn. He's blunt. He curses like a proverbial sailor... But he's also the guy who would move heaven and earth to defend the Temple, or his magi or anything else that he thinks of as his to protect. (Yeah. That means Olympia. He's past even trying to deny that anymore. 😝) The perfect song for him? How about You Are My Sunshine, done as a bluesy dirge by The Dead South?
  3. Tony Furtado is just good fun to listen to. I owe a coworker a lot for introducing me to his music a couple of years ago.
  4. When I was putting together my background music "City Soundtrack" playlist, Shonokin (Dark/WP Sentinel), my Appalachian gentleman-monster... ... needed something that was both modern and that reminded me of the folk music from the mountains of Eastern Tennessee. I went with Tony Furtado's Bolinas I find myself tending towards music for particular groups more often than individual characters, though... The theme for Bahir and Oreviel's Ordus Viatoris, for instance. That's a song called The Circle, from Blackmore's Night. It fit both the timelessness and the wandering restlessness of the Oranbegan voyagers.
  5. Honestly? Good Fun But Showing Its Age And I know that answer is likely to get me a dozen thumbs-down emojis and probably a few threats of burning at the stake... But... Yeah. Fun game is old game, now.
  6. Once you finally get around to playing through Myst... I'd also suggest taking a look at a little game called Journey next. When someone questions video games as art, I tend to send them in that direction with a grin and a "Play this. Then we'll talk."
  7. My favorites for soloing are Stalkers. It takes a little more care than Leeroy face-punching everything with a Scrap or a Brute, but not so much that it's annoying to finish some of the tougher arcs all on your own.
  8. Well, the Wolfepack went in at even-level/x4, since I wasn't sure how the newbies would do on their first run of Dr.Kane's EVER... and Whip had a very, very bad day. Street Scrap + Storm Controller + Spines Brute + my Rad/Dark Defender = flattened demon girl with no trouble at all. The Abomination got kicked over even faster. Given that result, I'd say she's fine as a GM, as long as you have some way to debuff the crap out of her.
  9. Poor Nossie... He had reason to be unhappy, having to carry his own coffin through town and all....
  10. There's a reason that one landed on my ignore list as early on as they did... I recommend it. 'Makes the forum just a touch more pleasant.
  11. You could call the banners by theme, maybe? "Fiends" or "Terror" and the rest...
  12. One of mine has a Christmas-themed "Jingle-mage" costume, but no one so far has a specific Halloween outfit.
  13. 'Planning on running this with the family SG this evening, so we'll see how Black Whip handles with a group of relative newbies on basic-equipped. near-level characters. I'll be on my "finished" Rad/Dark Defender, who is 50+ but built to exemp with mid-level teams, so they won't be going in without SOME advantages... But I'd still say they'll be a good test of how well a "casual" group can handle it.
  14. Which shard are you playing on, Icy? That can also make a difference... Some have a more laid-back player culture than others. If you're currently on Excelsior, for instance, try out Everlasting or Reunion.
  15. Oh, I'm much worse, Arcane... I dared to suggest that if getting the badge itself wasn't really All That for him that maybe he wasn't really inclined towards badging. Truly the pointed trolling of a bratty five year-old. 😝
  16. Pirate costume is Best costume. 👍
  17. I just get ticked off when some yahoo who has zero clues about how to use KB scatters everything to the four winds *after* I've dropped my Tar Patch or Bonfire or what-have-you on top of a nice, compact bait-ball of goons. That's just annoying. And rude. <_<
  18. To be blunt, you're not much of a badger then.
  19. Collecting that badge ITSELF is your reward. That's the whole point of badging as a mode of gameplay... Getting all those little shiny things that you can point to and say "Look what I got!"
  20. Hmm. I have no personal talent for magic and my ancestors were definitely NOT Mu, so I'd probably be pretty safe from body-snatching... So, I could imagine actually putting my academic background to some practical use and hanging around with the Circle as an anthropological thing. Do some field work, observe some rituals, interview some mages, publish a few ethnographic and linguistic studies... Maybe try to find ways to prevent some of those "We're going to invade your home and steal your stuff!"/"Well, *we're* going to feed your soul to our demons!"-type conflicts. It could be fun. In a very nerdy getting-my-social-mad-science-on kind of way.
  21. 'Bet you work with us Rogues all the time... And just don't notice. 'Cause we're sneaky like that.
  22. /em zombiewalk in the general direction of the coffee machine
  23. For us, no... It's happened even if neither of the characters ever got flattened.
