  1. It seems like there would be a better choice, like Rikti with Accelerated Metabolism, or Phantoms with Adrenalin Boost, and both do more Damage than Seers. Carnival is similar with Forge, but the Dark Ring Mistress is better than the Augur.
  2. Narrow short cone with low DPA, so, by comparison, it's not that good.
  3. I'll tell you that I have seen just about every set "work" in Zone PVP these past couple weeks. For instance, I do great on my Shield Stalker which is my main PVE toon, and I just made a PVP build for fun, and it is tough. I have played against very tough scrappers, Regen, and ELA are most common, also Bio and SR sometimes.
  4. I stank all the time (Rad/SD), but the team needs to beware because Stalkers don't hold aggro like Tanks and Brutes.
  5. Well shouldn't be a problem for Bio stalkers: Offensive Adaptation 7.5 + Kismet 6 + Tactics 10 = 23.5
  6. Where do you slot Gaussian? Probably in BU so you get double BU sometimes
  7. If you like Clobber, you'll love Freezing Tough, try Ice Melee, the slows and Ice Patch, if you want it, will only raise your survivability, and then add water spout. Take Psi over Rad, even though Rad is great the Animations might get you killed, I'd leave it for a Def set or WP. IDK about Staff, I have only used it on a Stalker, and I really liked it. Elec I'd probably only use on a Brute or Stalker So....consider Ice, Katana, Spines, Fire, Staff...
  8. So basically because you hate the fighting pool so much you want to skip weave (which is awesome on tanks) and sacrifice other bonuses like more resistance and +recharge...??? I don't get it, it's a self-inflicted wound. Just use tough as a mule for Steadfast +3 def, or Impervium armor Psi resistance.
  9. IMHO I think you are going to run into endurance issues in a sustained attack, like fast moving teams and AVs. Especially if you ever turn focused accuracy on, that will turn you into a taunt-bot and not much more. Personally for me in my Bio/Spines experience (my 1st 50 and incarnate) recharge is really important since your click shields and heals are your lifeline. Also why more tanks don't have Darkest Night is a mystery. I can Solo-tank STF Recluse with just inspirations. Just so you have something to compare to, or get ideas of what you want or don't want here is what I run: | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1558;747;1494;HEX;| |78DA6594594F135114C7EFB483634B2B4B81B2154A014BE90E28C63522EE10496A7| |C33CD50469C585BD21623BE991897571FF45BF8644CD4E8C7707DF0D58D45765452| |CFCCFF08937492F677EEB9679F7B67FCF6A8EBD9D9BB2784E43A95558BC5F465357| |7432B28A98CAEE5329AA0C739A2E7A3E7D43B6A614AA1A51F16E951ED9A962B6A31| |DA4D5F2A4CAB393D933E59B8992F78D8605CCB6A5A2C35A3E7B4A2704DE4F3D9D89| |8A6D272DA692E52339A36E536C533FAF4F5126DD499ABF3B95B7A519FD4B37A69CE| |7B7A46CFC4460AB3252D9DCACF66D3E36AB1A415E69AA99218FD96BBE94F32CA2C5| |78955BB104959D8D698EBA0BCC1DC04435B0615F12228F8290BE113A66E85E2491C| |4F6A87FD3E1FD8DC01767432FD60971FBEABE46B675FFB02F6F62C22977389F90B7| |42D3357C035F2AD826F798B6485E3285F39C73CD8FF8DF99DF9038CFC049BE81539| |E06B73344AA8FF227284B649ED53C46F8A5F6D3659B6551F27C87611F1D2DA47718| |CB56217018AE3461CC91D36FA738868187DBEA6B9D5707D35EF10BBF63DF303D8F4| |91F9096CFE0CFEA1DC759879551DCFB79EE75BCFF36DE0F936F07CE3ADC8FB8AF27| |AF87D79B81689EA6C645DA30F75DA49E7E519780710A32789FC51EEEF2FD5D1C23D| |B41CB2997BAD879947C0F6A3CC6360471772CA14BF8DE3B7993356444F2D18F4802| |F833852465DBEA2CDAC619B727642277772EF7EEEDDCFBDFB3BFF9F29F00DC50970| |9D817BB2A9EB7EC4BCCF7C00F63C04A327D0EB5BF2EDE559F70EA086FD83CC21E60| |1307890390C6628441FFBF645A00B253087781CEB780C4C269911E475D37CC2DC7B| |98E7F3C585FB6A9CA7D830DE41925943F609B64FB07DBB6CB99B657A4448DEB9E9E| |5FE8ADD44852659A119ACD00C5568C6AC9A2E9CA7099913934E32AD1CB574D3A129| |CF3B77BE18428AC26371572749174808D297E00A6EE382D5BE0FF64BBB3A9BF4D86| |6EAF63E613E05378C2F04E75CB7C89B56B9894C7946CF03BBF284D3A804F2558BAC| |5AE4498BFC0FAB55FDFD| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|
  10. And invuln doesn't take Weave? That 8% Def gap is a big number to fill...you can't assume you'll always be surrounded by 10 foes. That would mean AV fights would put Invuln at a bigger disadvantage defensively compared to the sets previously mentioned.
  11. Invuln is great, but WP and Shield perform at least on par with it and better in some areas. Shield - Better Def that is positional with more -def resist, added damage, and Shield Charge WP - Of course has a massive increase in Regen, is better against Psi (but worse in Def and Resists to Elements & Energies) And Dark too, Dark can hit resist cap to everything but Energy and Toxic. Even then it can get 60% +. Dark also has a crazy Heal, and control with Oppressive Gloom, and Cloak of Fear. But Def is only in the 30's with no -def resist
  12. Wtf, what did I just read in this thread? Unless you are a Mastermind, (Willpower maybe) why would you skip Hasten? It's like yeah, I don't need to heal right now, I can wait another 10 seconds...no wonder I have so many teammates who attack once every 10 seconds, who use Brawl and Boxing at level 50 to fill their attack chain and are always taking dirt naps, they forgot Hasten.
  13. FUBARczar

    Shields...

Elec/SD is a better choice on a stalker, the AS (in and out of hide) covers up the poor ST dmg, and you still get Lightning Strike!!!
  14. isn't Savage really low? Psi is just low against pylons and robots, otherwise, it murders
  15. FUBARczar

    Shields...

I'd take the following sets because they are solid all the way through: StJ/SD Rad/SD (have at 50) War Mace/SD (have at 50) Fire/SD Lightning Rod is awesome, the rest of the set kinda sucks Soul Drain is awesome, and set does well on ST, but on big teams/mobs the ST focus feels like tunnel vision - But great for AVs
  16. I farm just as well on my Stalker (Rad/SD) as my Scrapper (WM/SD) and maybe even better than SS/Fire Brute ('cause SS sucks right now, I should just strip him) Psi/Shield would do well, Psi Blade Sweep is fast and easy to line up and hit 3 or 4 at a time and a great filler Battle Axe would be a little better for farming than War Mace And of course, don't forget Titan Weapons (TW/Fire, TW/Bio or......?) Here is a crazy out of the box one: Beam or Sonic /Bio/Psi Sentinel
  17. the low down as it stands for now... BR Single shot over Charged every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Cutting beam sucks but as was mentioned it's all you got (Sentinels have a better 2nd 10' targeted AoE that does the same damage with shorter animation, but no snipe) Your Bread and Butter is Disintegrate + everything else Devices The only must-haves are... Web Grenade, because you have no choice Targeting Drone - It's better than Tactics, higher to-hit buff, less endurance but essentially the same thing Field Operative - Nothing special, but great none the less, gives you stealth +regen +recovery, and costs no endurance, even better when paired with Super Speed, or Run with Celerity +stealth, the you can actually sneak past just about anything but perhaps a Rikti Drone The rest is truly optional, for instance, I don't use Trip Mine or Time Bomb (that's right no trip mine, because neither my team or I am still long enough to use 'em), and this is great for Beam because then you can take every power in BR (besides Charged of course.) Outside of that the only other must-haves are Assault and Hasten and Flurry (j/k not flurry) Tier 2: Super Speed, Tough, Maneuvers, Weave, Combat Jump Tier 3: Recall Friend (but you can just purchase Team TP)
  18. Another strong one is Water Blast / Ice
  19. BR/Time is pretty awesome, damage, lots of debuff, and some control. Perhaps there are builds better for pure survivability, but not better all around or as a force mulitplier for the team.
  20. I tend to agree with the OP, but I would add that /Ice works great PVE/PVP. Also Staff and StJ are both great in PVE and PVP. My PVP stalker on live was StJ/Ice, and I would run it again. /Bio is also worth a look with added burst dmg.
  21. I ran one on live towards the end. I never wanted to play claws and then I had a concept and had to, hehe. Anyhow, I found it to be very rewarding. It's got a different feel that is cool, with two ranged attacks, and shockwave adding good control. It's just too bad that Eviscerate isn't AoE like Ripper. Lethal is not the greatest, but it shouldn't prevent you from playing it, just look at everyone playing Ninja Blade, Dual Blades, Spines, Battle Axe, Broad Sword, etc.
  22. Yeah DM is probably King for ST Boss control, but if you like EM, Radiation Melee is a great replacement with added benefits, like a heal, -def that you can put two -res procs into, and much better AoE.
  23. Go, Sentinel, survivability, a better more useful nuke, more choices, you can do it with EA, Ice Armor or Electric Armor. 24. Oh that's gold, QFT Rage should That does kind of embody the problem. Rage should be adjusted, of course, and the whole set should be fixed since it's balanced around a broken power.
  25. No, I specifically said problem, not weakness. They aren't weaknesses, they are bad mechanics, and thus problems. Don't be a used car salesman and call something that is a broken a feature. "Oh the air conditioner doesn't work, but you can just roll down the windows and enjoy fresh air."
