  1. Probably more a question for the GMs, but in the case of the Freedom Phalanx characters, couldn't you gender swap the NPCs? Like having a woman dressed up as Statesman and a guy as Penelope Yin. Would that be sufficient to allow for it via the CoC? Just a thought.
  2. And yelling "get off my lawn!"
  3. I don't disagree with you in general, except it doesn't offer or address any idea for a solution. "Just get over it" is ignoring an important factor - fun. I also never suggested or even implied that risk of defeat get removed completely. so no idea where you're getting that from. I've been trying to approach this objectively from the point of view of a new player, like my kids, who don't have the years of experience or resources and are coming at this fresh. I know I'm guilty of it too in that I sometimes forget what it was like when I first started playing. Take these two replies, which I believe are more productive; I was attempting to approach this from the perspective of a new player like my kids. Playing lower levels and missing significantly more often than not due to the amount of -ToHit being stacked, "just get over it" or having to stop after every mob to go run and refill on inspirations kind of sucks the fun out of the game and this event in particular.
  4. I shed a tear every time I think about how much fun EM used to be...
  5. Were these comic-con type farms? If so, there was a thread about them being temporarily blocked.
  6. What is the mathematical equation for "fun"? I have not insisted on anything. All I made is an observation and a suggestion. Please don't put words in my mouth.
  7. It might be kind of fun to have a small chance that Recluse or Positron or other signature NPC spawns from a door during ToT.
  8. Not skipping much is still skipping content. 😉
  9. I imagine there would be a similar response if NPCs would scatter constantly and prevent the use of AoEs for ranged attacks, or reflect the holds/immobs back at the caster. It's only in the one mission here so it isn't bad once you know what you are up against. I usually have taunt on my Tankers so it's not difficult to move and pull aggro off the flames. However, I agree with @Heraclea on this in that these kinds of mechanics were all over the place in other games and I didn't care for them there. I'd prefer they remained in those games and don't creep their way in here.
  10. Ok but then by the time you do this, you've leveled past the early level content. I could PL all my characters via AE farm until 50+3 and fully IO them out too, but that's skipping the content completely.
  11. You keep trying to apply math to a post about subjective feedback. No, we don't miss 100% of the time and I never suggested that - but consistently missing 3 and 4 times in a row at lower levels where you have 2 or 3 attacks (including brawl) in your chain is simply not fun for me. It's especially worse when going against Bosses and enemy NPCs with plentiful -ToHit debuffs, or NPCs spawning at a higher level like those mentioned in the thread about the Save Manticore arc. From other posts I've seen on here, it would appear I'm not the only one who feels this way and it is not that much fun for others either. @Vanden made a thread and posed a rather good idea on the topic of missing. He is absolutely spot on why Cryptic totally reworked accuracy and the annoying whiff mechanics when they built Champions Online. I have to agree, it's a far better system in CO especially at the lower levels. Again, nothing sucks the fun out of playing when you hit Build Up then proceed to miss 3 times in row. I won't even go into missing held/immobilized targets.
  12. Yes, I understand the math of it. My post isn't about math though. It's about constant missing due to poor accuracy not being fun at low level. This isn't something new.
  13. Cannot upvote this enough.
  14. Or accuracy can be improved.
  15. Trick or treating with my son and daughter tonight on our low level characters (both level 10) reminded me just how horribly bad accuracy at low levels is. Tricks at the door would sometimes spawn 3 Vampire or Sorceress bosses that killed us in 2 hits while we sat there flailing away. We were lucky to land maybe 1 hit in 5. At lower levels, we're barely doing any damage anyway as we simply don't have the slots or enhancements to make any difference. Is there any harm in improving the accuracy at these levels? My personal take here, but nothing sucks the life out of a game then flailing away and hitting nothing. At least from my experience, this is a major reason people DFB or farm their way into higher levels - accuracy (and endurance) at lower levels is embarrassingly bad. There is a lot of room for improvement here - is this something that can be improved pre-SO level? Thanks.
  16. Now I totally want to make an .ogg file of the theme for that base! 😀
  17. Gardez un œil sur la base communautaire de la Réunion ... sera bientôt ouverte! 😀
  18. Argh! Now I have that stupid theme music stuck in my head! Thanks. 🤣
  19. Cannot wait to go trick or treating in game with my kids tonight! They have been looking forward to it. Thank you 3000! 😀
  20. I like this suggestion.
  21. @justicebeliever no offense meant, but you really are reaching here. You are interjecting way too much and way, way, way overthinking and struggling to come up with hypothetical scenarios to fit one possible side of a narrative with many different sides. At least to me, everyone is adding their own personal baggage to what people are posting here. It is an unfortunate consequence of using the internet to communicate with others. We cannot see expression, hear tone of voice or pick up on body language. Personally, I really do not believe we should get to the point where we need to have lists of what the "best" or "most appropriate" responses are to any given situation. It's opening a can of worms I personally think best left closed.
  22. I'm going to guess that a single account reporting an arc repeatedly isn't going to issue an auto-ban. I would imagine it requires quite a lot of different reports from a lot of different accounts to fire it off.
  23. Thanks for the update! I believe everyone figured this would happen. Question about this though... I had thought it was said in the official CoC update thread that bans were not automatic as in a human had to review and make the final determination before any action was taken? I'm assuming this is only for AE content and not individual players? Not at all trying to be a pest, just asking for clarification on that. Thanks! 😀
  24. Not sure Dull Pain needs to be made auto It does what its supposed to do in that it provides the +HP buff to help with huge hits/alphas. Perhaps for tanks it should be an auto power. I think its fine as is for scrappers and brutes.
