  1. Um, @GM Aurarius? Might I recommend a slight clarification to "What punishment, if any, is meted out however will never be communicated." Perhaps "publicized" instead of "communicated?" After all, I believe the GMs do take their time to communicate with the offending party, in an effort to reduce repeat offenses. It's just that those punishments aren't revealed to anyone except those who said punitive measures are being applied to.
  2. I'm almost certain someone posted their work on an alternative Villain Epic Story Arc in Mission Architect. Does anyone have the link to that? I feel like that's a good place to examine for some ideas related to tone and style.
  3. Although . . . I'm curious. How do you folks (@nightroarer, @Luminara, @Darmian, and all the other players) feel about asynchronous PvP? That is, the Villains set up something against a PvE challenge metric (like a Bank Heist), and then get to choose an optional-on-both-sides PvE challenge for Hero players to respond to?
  4. I can't remember if it was Cipher, Number Six, or someone else, but they had said that the spaghetti (in their opinion) was no where near as bad as people made it out to be, and that many complex changes just needed someone to roll up their sleeves and dive in (paraphrasing, and welcome to corrections if I got it wrong). Since they're volunteers, work is going to be limited. That suggests the best return of time and work invested would be small, compound changes that would gently take steps toward a target outcome, while also simultaneously being "feature complete" enough to stand on their own should development cease for an indefinite period of time.
  5. @Andre and @NP123: Trick or Treating / Hallowe'en is active on the Staging Shard right now. There were some new changes this year and they wanted to test it before launch. I've heard rumblings of "Monday" in General Chat on Everlasting, but no one has ever backed up the claim with proof, so it might just be a rumour. There's also this: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/22626-community-project-homecoming-team-appreciation-trick-or-treating/
  6. Another alternative just came to mind. Since Controllers are a Support Archetype, perhaps we're going about this the wrong way. Rather than a chance to increase their own Magnitude, what if Controllers were given a chance to floor the target's Control Protection? Open the door for -any- Controls from the rest of the team to get through to the Target. That might be more in line with the Controller's themes and intended design parameters. ie: The Dominator is selfish, getting the higher Mag for themself. The Controller is selfless, giving what is effectively higher Mag for the whole team.
  7. Not saying I disagree with you; but Jimmy stated in the past that the Homecoming Team apparently wants to do a quality pass over all of the costume bits before releasing them to players (or at least implied that much, but didn't explicitly state it. Kind of a signature move, that.).
  8. I just wanted to say, @Blackfeather, that I really appreciate the amount of effort and work you're putting forward in to this. Even if the Homecoming Dev ultimately don't opt to look in to improving Controllers in a way which calls upon the wealth of conceptual mechanic work you've done here, I do hope it has been as illuminating for them as it has for others. Keep up the good work!
  9. I believe the answer to your question depends heavily on if the Team has anyone with the skills and time to perform the required tasks to meet the Team's standards. @Piecemealhas demonstrated some remarkable skill in developing new textures for existing pieces to come up with some impressive new NPC costume content, https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/22521-dev-diary-piecemeals-workshop-of-horrors/, and has remarked on the desire to get a whole team working on projects in the future . . . but I'm afraid I don't know if NPC costume piece accessibility is within Piecemeal's wheelhouse. I'm really hoping that we'll get our hands on those new pieces for player-use when Page 6 hits. And, if so, then it might represent good news in favour of eventually getting people onboard to free up the other NPC costume pieces.
  10. Positron 1 is a breeze, generally. As long as you can take down a Level 11+ Clockwork Prince, your Dopple, and Doc Buzzsaw, everything else is just regular Minions, Lieutenants, and Bosses. Positron 0 is even solo-friendlier.
  11. No need to apologize, @Sanxion. Best of luck to you in your Badging!
  12. While donations were quick to flow in initially, and a few bases have been put in to tentative use, we are in dire need of volunteers for the event. It would only take an hour of time or so, and would be very low intensity tasks (standing around, chatting a little, and handing out items to visitors). If you're unable to volunteer personally but would like to see the event succeed, please consider reaching out to your friends and colleagues in-game and spread the word. It would be greatly appreciated, everyone!
  13. Abs. Nipples. Buttcapes, pantycapes, and loincloths. . . . I miss going to play parties . . .
  14. Looking good, @DougGraves. Hot. Smoking hot, even.
  15. It's true, @Sovera. Sometimes cutscenes are used to give time for loading/rendering to finish. The smart teams made it so you can't skip during that load time, but as soon as it was finished, you would be given that option. But frustratingly, sometimes cutscenes were unskippable just because of petty reasons, or no reasons at all. For clarity, I don't believe that was ever the case in City, though.
  16. The immediate problem I'm aware of with folding in all the Prestige Sprints is that, apparently, there are players out there who use them to mule different Enhancements. I don't know if anyone uses -all six- Enhanceable Sprints for that purpose, but taking away options is generally a non-starter. But having each of them with a variety of customization options is a wonderful ideal, I think.
  17. I suspect there might be fewer trolls than you might think you've seen. While there are definitely people who lean on sarcasm way too much and muddy the waters, I find it more productive to assume that people are being genuine and honest.
  18. A minimal effects Brawl would be nice too. The flash of light is a bit much sometimes. And, on the flip-side, a flashier Brawl for the people who want that too. But, yeah. The length of time is has taken for the Prestige Sprints to get wrapped up in to regular Sprint and/or a Minimal FX Sprint is kind of baffling. Is there maybe a technical reason limiting it, or did the Legacy Devs just not prioritize it?
  19. I'm sorry. I hope you don't consider this vandalism of your art, but that's just the cutest Captain Mako I've ever seen, and I couldn't help myself.
  20. Hey . . . seeing a lot of changes tonight. May we please get some minty fresh forum patch notes, please?
  21. Taking a look at it in-game? Probably somebody thought it was too "ab'y" for female (which I strongly disagree with, for the record). Not sure why it wouldn't be available to Huge, though. That suggests that they didn't get around to it yet, maybe. Like the Circle of Thorns back detail (I presume). As ever; I support full proliferation of costume pieces!
  22. The Power would still do Terror. That respects the Cottage. Switching it from Single Target Cast to PBAoE Toggle is within the confines of the Cottage.
  23. I look forward to seeing photos of the kitties in the Post Your Kitties thread. (Also, glad to hear things are still alright!)
