  1. Ugh so many don't know what to choose here.... Thugs/Storm = Sons of Anarchy's Gemma Teller Thugs/Time = Stay Classy (Ron Burgandy, thugs are his co-hosts + Dr. Kenneth Noisewater and The Octagon) Thugs/Traps = Honeypot, an undercover police woman + her thugs she's attracted Thugs/Cold = Dead Corrado and the Soprano's cew Thugs/Kinetics = Ponyboy and his posse of Outsiders Basically, I "borrow" inspiration from various 1+6 gangs in film and media.
  2. Yes very much this for Ninjas. For just about any primary /Time is solid. Maybe the best MM secondary overall. I started back on Live with a Bots/Time and now have used it with every pet type and all benefit although some more than others. The best two powers are Powerboosted Farsight and Times Juncture. You can tankermind reliably by just jumping into spawn with TJ running. Between likely softcapped defenses and TJ’s -TOHIT and aggro pulling capabilities you will be attacked but not hit and your Bodyguardef pets just go to town while you spam other secondary powers. Great method for /Time.
  3. I think you are projecting a bit here. Let me try again. I can be an overly-OCD player when it comes to builds. If I know my character can eek out just a little more *whatever* if I slot this way vs another, I obsess with it. I routinely burn all my free respecs and usually do every respec trial just to have enough for my 5-6 respecs per alt. It’s an obsession of mine. I don’t know why but even during the dark years between Live and HC Id still play with MIDS to keep tweaking builds for min/max performance. I couldn’t actually build anything and test it anywhere then but I could stat-test one vs the other on paper, etc etc. What I’ve found on my Sents is that even the best builds avail (usually high proc builds) really don’t compare to just about anything else and thus it’s not necessary for me to obsess about their performance. Sents aren’t bad, but the difference between a top tier Sent build and a mish-mash one isn’t as great as almost all other AT’s. So to me, it’s a relaxing AT to play on occasion because it eliminates the need for me to even desire multiple respecs. Since to make a Sent perform it’s best requires procs, and procs are procs regardless of the AT, just slot as many as you want however you want and lean on your native secondary to achieve most of your defensive goals rather than the two dozen different ways you can build an equivalent alt in another AT. Because again, on a Sent, slotting for good to great is not going to add much to the relative output of the AT. I don’t find this “damning” in the least. The AT as it’s currently designed is for whatever reason designed with significant DPS limitations (damage class modifier, reduced aggro limits etc). The procs used to augment this are great but they work the same on a Sent as much as on all other AT’s but the native Sent programmed limitations still hold them back. So I just lean into it, enjoy the lack of stress about eeking out “top tier” performance and don’t think of the AT as worth the effort/time/expense of min/maxing. Because the space between min and max is so narrow here vs almost anywhere else. If how I define “fun” offends you, my apologies. But I do find Sents fun, just don’t take them very seriously in their current incarnation and I suspect the Devs don’t either. In fact it was another recent thread that brought me to this conclusion. Don’t recall who but someone suggested that the AT was built intentionally weaker than it likely should be, with significant handicaps applied, for no other reason (or for a very good reason depending on your POV) than to ensure the class could NOT rival the performance of other AT’s. So I roll them, I build them, I play them…but as interesting side diversions of theme mostly. Not as serious as my other alts and that’s actually relaxing for me. Maybe not for you. That’s fine.
  4. Being serious with this reply there are really only two things I like about the current Sentinel AT: 1) There are certain thematic builds only available via Sent class. Want an AR using super soldier with enhanced regeneration abilities? AR/Regen. I’m not saying these are by any means optimized builds but thematically it’s hard to replicate some themes in any other way. 2) Because their defensive capabilities are easy to soft cap/maximize they are cheap to build and cheap to throwaway if you don’t like them. They have no lasting value to me like other AT’s and I seldom take them through incarnate levels as a result because even maxed out they are still subpar to just about everything else. But they are these fun little excursions now and then to take to 50 just for the sheer economy of them. I’ve got the influence and then some to spare but in general I only invest my time in alts of lasting play value to me and that’s the opposite of a Sent.
  5. *Edited* Fooled around with the build a bit more yesterday on flight home, worked in Fury -RES proc to GD as suggested, had to give up a little DEF here and there and compensated by +5'ing some DEF enhancements. But it's still a pretty solid build I think. I may just go ahead and make one this weekend. ********* It's a S/L/E//R softcapped +DEF Fire/Nin blaster -without- incarnates. I worked in two procs (Fury and Achilles), but couldn't get the Annihilation -RES proc in there and maintain my Defense goals. You could throw the Annihilation proc into Fireball and then minus incarnate powers you'd still be S/L/E softcapped to DEF and just at 41% to Ranged. You could also slot in another Achilles but they don't stack so not sure that's wise to do. I don't like fragility in my Blasters and always try for either typed or ranged +DEF, just happened to be able to do both with this build if you can live without Annhiliation. I've already leveled an Archery/Nin and a Dual Pistols/Nin so not sure I'll go down the /Nin path again this soon. But this doesn't appear to be any more/less competent of an endgame Blaster build than anything else in my lineup. Once you get to i-Levels anyways, almost everyone is sporting so much extra +DEF buffs and stuff, you can actually respec and not worry about the caps on your own. My experience anyways, but I do like self sufficiency for soloing purposes. 6. You must play this alt with view zoomed all the way in for FPS view or you are a poser!
  7. You say this like it's a bad thing....
  8. It’s a game and as such a past time for most people. Not everyone plays as often as I will or the way I do. So if I see an opportunity, I just gift the player a bunch and move on. Doesn’t matter to me what they do with it or how it impacts the game. It’s a gift…no strings attached. If I have expectations on how they spend/use it then it’s no longer a gift but me projecting my expectations onto another human being. I do however prefer to gift to non friends. I will happily assist a friend in need who asks but I don’t like the chance of a gift negatively impacting a friendship.
  9. My favorite thing about Sents….
  10. There are no dumb ideas in this game. Some power sets do NOT work well together, but even a poor pairing is typically do-able given adjustments in difficulty, team makeup and/or tactics. And, of course, adjusting your own expectations. I have a SJ/Shield Stalker and actively chose stalker for the role given all the benefits that set offers on stalkers versus scrappers. I won’t take you down that rabbit hole but it’s a very powerful pairing on a stalker and you effectively play like a low-HP Scrapper but with superior damage with the whole “Crits on Demand” model stalkers get versus more-random crits on scrappers. So if you love the pairing for theme purposes, I’d strongly suggest you look at building this in a Stalker variant vs a Scrapper. However, even if you do want to build this as a Scrapper, you may see some slotting ideas in the Stalker builds I and others have posted to give you some idea. Keep in mind your own defensive slotting choices may change a bit because of how Hide works on a Stalker. To answer your question specifically about confront on a Scrapper....I’ve dozens and have never taken it once. If you are running /Shield, in particular, you have a massive AOE that will pull -plenty- of aggro onto you in case you are playing as an off-tank on a PUG or whatever. And generally speaking I just don’t see much value in taunting (poorly) a target to come to me when I can just hit them with an attack instead. You have some ranged attacks available to you in the other pools and I’d rather use one of those so my use of END does more than just beckons them....I want to damage them and use that to pull aggro. And besides, for /Shield, you pretty much want -ALL- the shield powers. All of them. Grant Cover offers you some extra DDR and OWTS is a great buff for sustained AV battles and stuff. You also want to get your recharge high enough that you can double stack Active Defense for the enhanced DDR. And heck for your incarnates go Destiny Ageless Radial for another DDR buff. DDR is what keeps a /Shield scrapper/stalker from falling victim to cascading defense debuffs from Arachnos etc and dropping you like a puny insect. So there’s much better things to spend a power pick on than Confront. Heck, Teleport is now even a better choice than that.
  11. Hit 48 last night and with Physical Perfection the END issues are fixed. I think since I’m headed for Ageless Radial anyways (for the added DDR) I’ll see if that allows me to drop Body Mastery entirely for late game. If I do that likely will respec into Fire epic for Fireball. Having another AOE feels like it would def help and it’s a typed damage so that helps also. Depending how I slot I may even hit Incarnate capped DEF for at least melee. I also swapped slotting for Shield Charge and Dragons Tail. No impact to stats but It felt to me like DT was the better place for the FF+Rech proc since giving Shield Charge the ATO’s (and that’s often my opener for a spawn) made more sense. Can always swap back if I find I don’t like it as much.

    i27 Rambo Build

Now if you really want a challenge….try an AR/Ninja/Munitions build. The challenge of running back and forth from ranged attacks to sword attacks, and trying to line up your cones, makes you play like a deranged weasel on crack. Super gimped (at least mine is) but for lulz and the sheer audacity of just existing it can be fun.

    Regen 3.0?

True, I ran both Perma-Elude and Perma-MOG builds back then frequently. Nothing like one power eliminating the rest of your secondary entirely.
  14. This, and you’ll need a TP self power (Mystic Flight’s Translocation works well) and, at least for me, you’ll need to orient yourself EXACTLY underneath the hole and then scroll in camera so you are effectively in First Person view mode. Without doing those two things I couldn’t aim my reticle through the hole. I had an alt with TP self but found that from floor you can’t quite get the reticle to aim outside the hole.
  15. I already have Weave, but perhaps should change the slotting up there. I don’t mind the serums nor the Amplifiers that much but was trying to do this without either pre-50. Might just have to suck it up and hit the syringe.
  16. Yeah about what I was thinking. I can get by carrying some Serums and maybe using a Survival Amplifier until I get Ageless.
  17. So I created a great theme/costume for a scrapper, and the powersets that appealed to me were Martial Arts and Shield Defense. I've played MA plenty with SR, both here and back on Live, and I've several Shield characters across Scrapper, Brute, Tanks and Stalkers. But this gal...she's VERY thirsty for Endurance. I've whittled down my attack chain, have slots to spare, so I picked up Body Mastery for both Conserve Power and Physical Perfection. That helps, and I'm sure Incarnates can help even more, but no matter what I find myself thirsty for END. Here's what I'm running now....planned for Positional DEF caps, high S/L resists (65%) and trying to keep Active Defense doubled up as well as eventually will take Radial Ageless for the extra DDR. So I think I've got everything figured out about as survivable as possible, but just looking for any advice on tweaks I can make to get my Endurance burn rate down a bit more. I will of course pursue the Accolades. On HC, plenty of ways to mitigate this with Recovery serum, base buffs, Combat buffs from P2W vendor, etc. I just would like to try to be a little more self sustaining. Thoughts? The OG MOG could be made perma and thus it was just “Glorious.” Which was one of many reasons we got our toys taken away with the set.
  19. Working on it....
  20. I downloaded it, created a few gifs, but they are HUGE. Will have to keep playing with it to figure out how to reduce file size.
  21. I present to you, the MinuteMa'am, with my not-so-subtle jab at all the Healorz who let me die during my aggro-grabbing Blaster infancy.
  22. I think these were all there back on Live, but I've also just discovered how to get outside Pocket D and visit the Tardis, Manny's Gas Station and the two motherships. In fact, although there's not much reason to, you can get inside of Manny's Gas Station. I like to think of it as my secret base.
  23. Well the building next door to it is roughly same, but with the finished "garden terrace." So I'm guessing this was partially completed to provide something similar for RP or contest purposes perhaps.
  24. Which one of you is messing with the Rare salvage market? I had a whole bunch of Brianstorm salvage and generally I just burn it to make rare salvage for crafting purposes. But I noted yesterday well into last night that there are literally dozens of rare salvage items going for 1MM a pop...some higher. Given how many are for sale, looks like a flood event.
  25. Was about to post this. I didn’t know it was there on Live but once game came back I went straight to it. Was a little bit anti climactic vs the Faultline version. However, I also just discovered this in RWZ:
