  1. Pretty cool. Started seeing quite a few Westworld homage toons recently. One had a bio that was basically putting an AI consciousness that was built using data-mined and extrapolated combination sources of all the great western gunmen from the movies and history into a body of a robot. I found the bio very fitting.
  2. Mine is actually more of an homage to Inspector Gadget, meant to be silly, not serious. Which makes Mighty Leap even more thematically suitable since it's basically my "Go Go Gadget Springs!" travel power. But that's also another reason to love Gun Drone. It's just gadget-y.
  3. Saw someone emoting yesterday with something I've never seen before. They were levitating, on their back, full on seizure with light flashing all around them, as if being electrocuted. What was that?
  4. I use Splunk Enterprise in my own business. It does great real-time event log monitoring. Looks like a little science project in the making here! Would actually be sorta fun to use it not just for catching saboteurs but rather as a League leader for announcing who got the killing shot, etc.

I've not, and honestly didn't even look at it too closely when it released. I noted you mentioned this in your build over on the DP/Devices post as well. I generally go down the Sorcery pool for 3-slotted Aegis for some really good across the board +RES goodness. Will have to investigate it more closely obviously. +DEF and +RES both right?
  6. Thanks for this, very helpful. After a few more cups of coffee this AM I pretty much arrived at the same conclusion in that pushing hard for Melee capped Defense wasn't only next to impossible, but it was totally causing me to do stupid things with slotting. Like waste a bunch of slots on the Fighting pool and Brawl stupid. It just didn't make a lot of sense. I was also having to really pare down primary attacks to do this, so fools errand overall. However, I CAN do a fantastic job with high +RES by going down the Sorcery pool. With decent enough +RECH it's up pretty frequently. That, plus HOB native +DEF (and Hybrid Melee and Vorpal once I get Incarnates), is really the only melee distance survival I need. Interesting perspectives on Time Bomb and Gun Drone. While I agree with Drone overall, it's a nice pocket distraction to pull the alpha away from me or to distract the boss/EB/AV. Decisions decisions...always tradeoffs.... Thanks again!
  7. Meh, I think it's fine, but can agree to the different models. Personally, I think it's ungainly given how large it is. I'd much prefer the Lore looking orbital shield drone to the bigger current model. I take Grant Invisibility when playing Traps. You can throw that on your FFG and it adds not only the added +DEF for durability, but prevents it from taking as much damage since it's not an aggro magnet. If we were wishing here, I'd simply ask that it be treated more like /Devices Targeting Drone. It works and isn't targetable for damage purposes.
  8. Agreed. On Fire/Rad/Fire, every spawn gets pretty much the same treatment, although it does become a bit repetitive. Aim+FIre Cages as I close in+Inferno once inside spawn+GroundZero+FIreSword Circle. Fireball for mopup (usually required due to Sentinel aggro cap more than lower damage levels). I have Superior Avalanche set in GZ, which pretty much gives me Knockdown of spawn reliably. High recharge and it's up again almost every spawn.
  9. I was very happy with a 3 or 4 slotted Caltrops on my /Traps Corr. Either at my feet as I stood within my own triage beacon, to protect my mortar or simply as a means of safely getting into melee range to lay down some mines during combat. I get reliable holds out of the dang things with the right procs in there, and they do decent damage (which stacks well with Scourge on a Corr). Highly underrated gadget, so useful. I’ll fool around with a build taking all the fighting pool....Boxing+Kick+CrossPunch. BTW: Total sidebar but since I’ll be adding it to this build as well, Vorpal looks badass! Cloned, energy versions of you roundhouse kicking an entire spawn at once. Very much adds to the animation themes of Dual Pistols. Nowhere near as much damage as Ion but hey you don’t play DP just for the damage. It’s about style points. Vorpal is also (I think) the only Judgement power that adds a self buff (+DEF to all for about 10-12 seconds I think). While I took Vorpal on my “Rambo” AR/TA build, I think it will play even better on a DP/Dev build.
  10. Well, uh, General is for...uh...General stuff. I’m not sure what you are asking for is really feasible. Do you want “General, but to my specific Tastes and Sensibilities” channel or what? Honestly just petition someone who is being a fucktard. The GM’s don’t maybe have time for all of the issues but if enough people find a particular poster to be obnoxious and they petition them I’m sure something will happen.
  11. Attempted a badge run on a LAM tonight and one player thought it would be funny to pacify the AV and ruin the run. Fortunately we had a demo record running and several of us saw the player who did it.....was pretty obvious. Funny how some people get their jollies.
  12. ....PM me here with the IO and date of transaction and I’ll refund your money, minus the 6MM+ you likely intended to pay. And it wasn’t exactly 600MM on the nose so give me the actual amount as full proof. If it had been 60MM I’d likely just smile and count it as an offset for all the times I’ve lost out on the same mistake. But this is kinda obscene.
  13. The only Sent I’ve taken to 50 and fully T4’d out and still keep playing is a Fire/Rad/Fire. It’s sturdy, does fairly good damage and can tank pretty well. The ones I’ve not deleted are parked in their 40’s with the eventual hope the Devs will make good on their promised damage buff. Really that and and a aggro buff are all they need.
  14. Good to hear and I agree. The thing I've discovered about DP is that it can work either ranged or at melee levels, although your animations look a bit goofy when in melee distance outside of HOB. So I've been trying to come up with a build that emphasizes not Ranged +DEF, but rather AOE and Melee. Seems like /Devices really benefits from Melee distance. I discovered Judgement>Vorpal Radial recently, and that has a very large +DEF bonus for a short duration after using it. That, along with Rune of Protection from the Sorcery Pool and Hybrid>Melee would give me extreme Melee survivability for the post-50 game, maybe even some farming. So for once, I'm not even trying to build to Ranged softcap DEF. But most sets actually are taking me that direction, which isn't where I want to be.
  15. I’ve already got a AR/Devices and an Ice/Devices. Both were fun but I’d like to trade out the primary. Which and would you use....Beam or DP? Im thinking DP and Devices synergize well. But really struggling to hit defense caps in MIDS without gimping my damage. Anyone have a DP/Devices build that at least softcaps positional or S/L Def?
  16. First, credit to @Apparitionwho posted a build some time ago I used as the basis for my own. But they had Hover/Fly/Afterburner and I went down the Sorcery pool to get Mystic Flight and Rune instead. What you end up with is S/L softcapped +DEF and when Rune is active you hit mid 40's to low 50's in +RES for all but Negative and Psi damage, plus it's a good always-available Breakfree. With Burnout you can do some neat party tricks like double Hail of Bullets every so often....makes the ITF's a lot of fun. 17. I really see no way around it now. If you want to min/max your influence accumulation, you have to mix and match the below: 1) AFK Farming while playing normal content on a different account (mind the multi-box rules). If low pop server/times, multi-account AFK farm. 2) Run for AE tix, roll low Bronze rewards, craft and converter flip into 3-7MM rare IO’s on the marketplace (Marketeer) 3) Rather than “buy it NAO” when influence was easy to get, Marketeer to get nearby IO fodder you can convert into what you want Basically, while most farmers were also Marketeering before, now you have to do a lot more of standing around and playing the market if you want to get even close to where you were. I already was at the influence cap on all my 50’s, and was already AFK farming AND Marketeering both, but I reckon this new influence-while-examplared nerf has reduced my influence gain by about 25-40% per hour. It’s also far busier as you now doing a lot more Marketeering to compensate. Which for me wasn’t/isn’t fun in the least bit, but then neither was having to build for +DEF on my nerfed Regen’s back in the day. Adapt and overcome. Or just be compliant. Not like we’ve got a lot of choice. It’s not really “Just play the game” it’s more like “Just play the game THIS way or don’t play it at all.”
  18. Don’t know if anyone has actually played with procc’ing out Caltrops but you really, really should. Not for damage....but for slows and holds and all kinds of other goodies. The DOT goes bezerk with procs.
  19. Taunt is valuable to a tanker, ill agree to that. But level 10-20 is done in a matter of hours to normal players, and skipped entirely by many. Any benchmark for how a build should work really should be focused on the levels 25-50, as that’s where most of the leveling time exists.
  20. Repair has limited value to a Bots/EA MM. Skip it. Amp Up has very limited value soloing, and marginal value when teaming unless you team with a player who can get value from the things Amp Up actually “amps.” The Power Info tab is absolutely erroneous for the power and it boosts only half of what it’s showing. Power Boost from Epic pools would be a better choice and it actually boosts some of your own powers. Amp Up has almost no effect on Henchmen. Defibrillate has almost zero value late game. Draining mobs is useless for a steamrolling team in the mid 40’s and up. The sleep is wasted when nothing survives the first five seconds anyways. I would take at least Photon attack....procc’ed out it does ok damage but the Stun is nice. Almost a dozen Bots/EA Builds in this thread. EA is “ok” as a set. Hard to beat /Time.
  21. Photon Grenade procc’ed out ain’t horrible. It’s not good either but it’s at least better than a temp power and since you’ll skip Repair on the primary for Bots it’s likely worth it. Def better than Arcane Bolt.
  22. Just dinged 50 today on a AR/Tactical Arrow Blaster. Ranged softcap. Works perfect for getting the cones lined up and I actually LOVE Ignite as a follow up to an immobilized spawn from my ESD arrow. Also a nice trick to run into your own Ignite patch as it doubles as a melee safe zone since everything is trying to Baywatch themselves out of there very, very slowly while you just cackle and kill. Might be my new favorite Blaster.
  23. Yes you can but again, at least on teams, holds/sleeps/immobilize have little use. Solo it’s marginally useful.
  24. Yes it takes Targeted AOE damage IO's, Knockback IO's and Universal Damage. Like I said earlier, it's a two-slot wonder with a SA Knockback to Knockdown and a FF +Recharge Proc. Or you can throw in an Annhilation -RES proc and use it against hard targets like AV's.
  25. There’s a half dozen or so Bots/EA builds posted here: Personally, I think Amp Up is fairly useless outside of teaming with certain kinds of characters. Has no effect on your own henchmen. PowerBoost would be a better alternative if you want to increase some of your own power effects while simultaneously more broadly useful for a variety of teammates. And I haven’t even triggered Defibrillate since maybe level 42. Nobody needs a Rez (or triggers their own self-Rez before I can get to them), and the draining function isn’t insta, nor even all that useful when stuff is dying too fast. So I’ll respec out of it at 50. All those stacks of Static will just be wasted Other than increasing the chaining, but that’s kind of stupid mechanic anyways. It feels a lot like the Sentinel inherent....hey look it, I can paint a big cross hair on that tar....oh nvm, team killed it already. All in all, it’s a decent set with bots, but Bots/Time....really ANYTHING/Time, just blows it out of the water.
