  1. I normally play Storm as a secondary on my MM and Corruptor classes. Gale is two slotted with a Knockdown and a FF +Recharge proc. It triggers often. I don’t even use Hurricane past level 30. Just not needed.
  2. This. Or if I’m really wishing. Give all powers with Knock-anything- a toggle switch in settings to let player choose for Back, Up, or Down. No IO’s needed.
  3. Which is why most farmers have switched to AE ticket rewards now, which also is indicative of prices dropping on market as supply increases even while exemplaring influence decreases.
  4. Haven’t solo’d any AV’s with my Blaster but have almost all of them (minus a few like LR) On my Beam/Traps Corruptor. Ranged damage isn’t the hard part, staying alive when you are the focal point of their anger is. But if you used Temp powers like the Signature tank summon to keep aggro off of you (or Lore Pets for same) and stuff like Envenomed Daggers or Shivans I think it’s possible to do with a good high Def Blaster build.
  5. This. Ive not tried it with a different sex “normal” avatar into an opposite massive avatar yet, accompanied with an emote to do the costume change between slots, but always wanted to have a schoolgirl for the normal day job avatar and then morph into a giant Mecha for the Tanker mode. Sort of like a Peacebringer moving from human into Crab form.
  6. Cosmetic Surgeons. You can not only change height etc but you can change sex also.
  7. Classy. I actually thought more highly of you than that. The rules of this forum use are pretty clear. There's only one place to direct exploits once detected. Not here. Not to you. And the definition of "exploit" is also clearly defined as well. "Do not cheat or abuse exploits 1) If you find an exploit please report it to a member of staff immediately 2) This includes the use of scripts and programs to automate gameplay 3) This includes trying to deceive or otherwise cheat other players for your own gain" https://forums.homecomingservers.com/code-of-conduct/
  8. ^^^ Yes, exactly this. I won't say it's as EASY to earn 200MM influence an hour like was just AFK farming (especially multi-account farming) but it is still possible. Which gets back to the core issue I always have with these kinds of nerfs. There remain certain methods to still accumulate INF and levels quickly. Farming did it, farming + Marketeering does it, Marketeering does it by itself (once you've got enough funds to buy large allocations of stuff as flip-fuel). So I don't really understand why the Devs just keep nerfing influence gain. There's always workarounds. Until they just flat out nerf farming or shut down the AE. And then, back to Council maps.
  9. Have to hit that drop down each and every time. You’ll forget now and then and waste some converters. Well I should say every time other than when you are flipping Event IO’s.
  10. Craft your recipes, convert uncommon IO's to Rares, then convert Rares until you get to something that will sell for 1.5+MM. You can convert within category or convert across categories. I'm not a huge fan of crafting within the set (3 converters) but some sets are worth it. Lots of Guides in this very forum on which sets are best to convert. It does two things. First, you've got a second account toon in the farm with you, so you (the farmer) and that other toon (the farmee) both earn about full architect tickets per run. Doesn't take long to max out tickets. 200 free yellow/uncommon recipes for less than an hour of running maps is pretty good. You won't do this all the time...once you make enough money you'll just buy stacks of Uncommon recipe's directly. But starting out, it's the first few hundred million that gives you the bankroll to make the rest of your billions. Second, because you've level locked them at 25, when they go to redeem their tickets, you can set the slider at 25 and the highest recipe you'll get on a random Bronze roll will be at 25. The game won't give you anything higher than your current level. At 25 and under, crafting prices remain very cheap for most uncommon sets, and there's a lot of overlap with other sets that create valuable enhancements. One example, very well known on the boards and in game, is Exploited Vulnerability, a Defense Debuff IO set that only runs levels 10-20. You can't get anything higher than lvl 20 in that set. The set itself is just ok, but if you notice, it's "sister set" in the same level range, also a Defense Debuff, is the Achille's Heel set of IO's. Within THAT set is Achille's Heel Chance for -RES proc. That proc often sells for 4MM or higher...have seen it hit 7MM on weekends when everyone is trying to level up their builds. So you use Converters to flip across lvl 20 Uncommon's until you hit Exploited Vulnerability, and then you Convert within category to create an Achille's Heel...often you'll get the Proc on the first convert. If not, spend a couple of converters to get to the Proc, or just sell the non-Proc Achille's outright. Even the non Proc's often go for 2MM+ because people will buy those to MAKE themselves a 'cheaper proc' using the Converter technique. There are a bunch of other little niches like this, but they come and go as people discover them, exploit them, they become oversaturated and then you move on. Also, the more you put stuff up for sale on the marketplace, the more likely you are to win the "One too many Zero's" Lottery. It's happened to me on BOTH sides of this before. But when it's in your favor, it's a nice little win.
  11. The DOT from Incendiary rounds seems to stack well with Scourge. And some foes are weak to certain damage types more than others. But you’ll notice that as you level and if your bullets don’t appear to be doing as much damage as usual, try swapping to a different type. In general though, Negative is the least resisted damage type in the game, with Fire the next on list. Toxic is the MOST resisted damage type in the game. So unless what you are fighting is specifically resistant to Fire, you really have little reason to use the other types of ammo pretty much ever. Good info here:
  12. Eh, I’m not sure where you got the impression that we disagree on that point but I fully agree that mandating how anyone should play this game died when it when it ceased to be a for-profit game. We are playing stolen code. Anyone who dictates anything right now is by law a pirate and a criminal. I’ll honor the guidelines but there should be no law here. Anyone who argues this is just an righteous idiot. But that said, the servers we play on have their own rules of conduct and either we abide or we perish. That simple. Ive adapted. Not happy about it and may not continue to play as much or at all but I’ve adapted. I’ve no choice when it comes to playing here.
  13. I have several hundred bids at 75k or less. They are filled almost daily, almost always at same two times per day. When Europe goes to bed and when US goes to bed.
  14. Prices in certain niches have dropped considerably but I don’t know for sure the net impact is worse or better. Things like Achilles Heel have increased but that’s likely due to flippers who have discovered the quick and easy flips from Undermined will net you 5M in profit for 2-5 converters. But what i HAVE seen is an increase in ratio of for sale vs bidders. This means the influence nerf has increased market activity in total.
  15. I truly believe best influence per hour via farming is now farming for AE tix, not regular recipe drops, and crafting/converting into rares. I routinely get 6K tix in 30 mins (5 runs/full Comic Com arc) and set slider between 15-25 and roll Bronze. 200-300MM (net) after crafting and flipping via converters. Double that if you use a level locked 25 on a second account and pull into farm with you. I’ve actually started pulling in a third account just for this purpose and that will net me almost a billion for 30 mins farming. -BUT- Time not farming is considerable to buy salvage and craft....easily and hour or two per 100 recipes. I flat out sell any recipes that come in at level 50 via random bronze rolls. Not worth it at crafting costs usually. Of course once you’ve got a few hundred million you can just buy recipes in bulk directly, or even crafted enhancements in bulk, and skip the farming. But it’s nice to have a ready supply of hundreds of recipes as your starter fund. That’s really the best way to leverage farming for funding purposes.
  16. Miracle and a handful of other crafted enhancements suffer from a display bug in that it shows very high sale prices sometimes that aren’t reality. Also I’ve found it’s helpful to level lock a toon at 25 and then go run a few farms with my second account farmer for tickets once a week. 6000 tickets equals about 100 lvl 10-30 bronze roll recipes. Most can be crafted for under 60K total and sold for 2M-4M after only a few converters. So for 15 mins of farming you can reap about 250-300MM in crafted, flipped low level recipes. Takes some time beyond that to craft and sell but about best you can do these days.
  17. You know even with PFF it’s very, very easy to build for softcap (45%) DEF to S/L and/or Ranged on a Blaster. I find I don’t really need to Turtle up via PFF with that kind of DEF and Blaster +Absorb. Doesnt answer your question but may give you a direction to take.
  18. Oh God don’t do that. I have both a DP/SR and DP/Nin sentinel. Like any DP fun to watch but the already lackluster damage of DP is annoyingly gutted on a Sent. DP/Time or DP/Rad Corruptor if you don’t want to be a Blaster. But a DP/Tactical Arrow or DP/Martial Combat are both really effective Blasters. DP/Martial is the quintessential John Wicke, Graviton Cleric or my personal fave MTV-era A3on Flux.
  19. All to some degree yes. But 20-30 played to 50 and maybe 2/3 of those through T4’ing out at around vet level 10-12. And last week was a build week. I don’t do that every week. Many are just holders of influence via builds. I spent several years when game was hidden in MIDS creating dozens of themed supers. Once the chat/costume creator came around, I made costumes and bios for all of them. So when HC launched I set about building and equipping all of them. In case the game ever gets shut down I have my own server instance (well for all my early builds anyways....EA and a few others won’t work there) and I’ll port the toons there, maybe continue with my SG mates or family and friends. Given the evolution of things that have been nerfed for years in this game I can see the end of quick leveling and farming AE. So I make my stable of toons, equip them and if needed in future I can melt them down for parts. If not, I pull out another virtual action hero and just run with it for awhile.
  20. Having someone who can drop a toggle debuff on LR will prevent him from calling in the additional forces. Radiation debuffs, etc. And the additional Arachnos forces will stack the -DEF debuffs on you. The healers aren't a threat directly, but you gotta get them before they get off their heals on the towers. Dropping a bonfire, Caltrops or any other "keep away" barrier kind of powers around base of tower will keep them away. Even good old Repel is decent.
  21. Don't know anything about how your Tanker was slotted, or how your buffers were supporting same, but Willpower should be enough if the tanker was well slotted, which would allow softcapped +DEF to all Typed damage (other than PSI) and max +RES for S/L at a minimum. I've done the TF several times WITHOUT a tanker, and we always end up having to deal with both LR at the towers -and- the tower healers. Someone has to be able to distract him away from tower attackers or its just really hard to get the red one down as that red tower as you know is where he's getting his ability to drop greater than 1000 pts of damage in a single blow. If you are taking incoming fire from arachnos while taking on him and trying to take down red tower all at same time, then yeah you will have issues without a strong taunter. You didn't mention flyer but I'm assuming you dropped it before moving in?
  22. We don't discuss exploits on the forums, now do we?
  23. Here's how gullible I am/was. When COV was first announced, and they began discussions about the alignment missions, I thought there would be a PVP-like element introduced into PVE where basically each hero had an arch-nemesis on Vil side, and vice versa. And so basically you'd find yourself running up against your arch nem in ordinary PVE missions but as a recurring AV.... Eventually, these discussions just turned into the Quantum powered foes you'd run up against as a Warshade/PeaceBringer. But I honestly read so far into it I got SUPER UPSET when it turned out to not be a thing. I'd pay RL big money to add my own arch-nem into this game, especially if it was modeled after one of my own alt's.
  24. I made 5 new alts last week. That's about normal for me. I do it differently now than I did before the Exemplar nerfing. -I no longer exemp down. No point in it. I've seen all the lower level content plenty of times before. If there's a double merit event, I hit it with an appropriately-leveled character instead. -I PL (second account farmer) to level 28 or so. Takes all of 30 mins or less. I use double XP token for farmee and PL for AE tickets now rather than recipe drops. -I hand starting toon a bankroll of 1-200 converters. They run upstairs to AE and cash in their 5-6K AE tickets for lvl 10-14 bronze rewards rolls. I buy salvage needed, craft and use converters to get what that toon needs, or flip to get influence to buy what is needed. -Don't really bother with Attuned now. No need since won't be exemping down in future. Takes a lot longer doing the whole building effort as I've gotta make my IO sets rather than just buy them all outright. But I ended up with 5 new alts, all with top-tier builds (minus their purples they'll accumulate along the way), all self funded and with about a billion influence between the 4 of them in additional income due to all the flipping. All are already in their mid-30's after several TF's and mission teams and the usual MSR's. It's more boring to play this way for me, not sure I'll keep at it if it remains so, as there's less play time and far more marketplace maintenance time. But I have adapted to what I need to do to maintain the "toon build lifestyle" I wanted. I still AFK farm, but for tickets now. I'm sure they'll nerf that also in future once the player population complains enough. So make hay while I can.
  25. Kinetics so you can speed boost them and watch them run off to their deaths THAT much faster. /em joking Redlynne’s Ninja/Time build is the best I’ve seen, but I still abandoned them in my mid 30’s. Just too much going against them. There’s been some talk about Ninja/Electrical Affinity. I’m playing a Bots/EA right now and I can see the heals helping Ninja’s survivability considerably, but I think Faraday Cage would do little for Ninja’s. They just have a mind of their own, which is to say empty, angry, and devoid of all rational thought. I think Time is going to serve you best because you can jump into the spawn with Times Juncture running, floor spawn To-Hit and spam healing for the little angry swarm of mindless, angry ninjas to help keep their paper thin lives intact.
