  3. I know you're probably not asking for a pvp build but I created one for 8v8 arena/zone pvp. The only thing else I would take in this build if I was doing strictly pve is fulcrum shift. The pets are running around at either capped or close to capped movement speed with 150%+ damage and 60%+ acc. The pets also crit which is really nice.   4. Intuition, degen, rebirth, hybrid assault are usually the ones I go with.

Consensus among top level stalkers in the game right now is /energy aura is the best set in the game. -Defense let's you stay in hide (a good player will just keep you out of hide the entire time and chase you down on a resist based set) -If someone with high acc engages you, t9, won't make you unhittable but should buy you time to go back in hide. -Someone BU+aims you shouldn't be engaging them anyway, placate or evade -Allows you to get massive +damage bonuses from IO set (I run around 50%+ damage not including musculature etc) -Self heal -Repel resist (can't be TK'd, can AS storm/bubblers etc) Your job on stalker is to AS->follow up, not to scrap it out or anything like that, even in the bad state that defense is now it still outshines resistance for stalkers in pvp.
  6. "PvP AreaFactor" This needs to just be removed from the game completely. AOEs were never used for anything other than attacking single targets anyways. High movement in pvp means no one is EVER standing next to each other, meaning the extra utility and potential damage of attacks being AOE is not a factor at all does not merit lowering damage of these attacks at all. This formula made a lot of sets in pvp that rely on AOE attacks at all absolute trash. I'll elaborate more in a future post.
  7. If you want to wreck in zones the three primaries are: psi melee (best), street justice, and rad melee Greater psi blade can easily hit 900+ (squishies have 1606 HP capped for reference). Optimal secondaries are /ea and /bio Energy aura gives you repel resist and a self heal as well as allowing you to slot for damage. Bio gives you some survivability via absorb and perma 20-30% damage buff. Energy aura is probably best secondary though. So in conclusion, psi/ea/soul is the best pvp stalker build atm.
  8. For pvp (and I imagine pve as well) the three best epic power pools for MMs are: 1) Black scorpion For its lockdown and the only set with access to powerboost. The shield is pretty useless in pvp but should be useful in pve. -Powerboost -2x Webnade, -jump does not suppress which is nice 2) Leviathan For strongest single target attack available to MM -2 acc/dam 4 damage proc KO blow hits for a good 500-600+ sometimes -Ice/S/L resist shield that is pretty good, probably best pvp shield MMs get access to 3) Ice Mastery Best survivability among all sets -Hoarfrost allows MM to bolster its very weak base HP of 800 and provides a chunky heal -Hibernate is a great get out of jail free card -Defense shield is good for pve (not good for pvp) -Ice blast is not that bad, slow lets you slot another dmg proc Notable others: Charge Mastery T9 resistance that grants 50-60% resistance (in pvp it DRs around 25-30%) Thunderstrike has pretty low base damage but is probably decent in pve for the AOE kb/stun Field Mastery T9 similar to charge mastery Powerblast is decent ranged attack Temp invul grants pretty high s/l res I'd say just pick charge mastery over this though Both these sets let you tank alot in pve in BG mode with your T9
  9. For anyone looking for examples how to slot MM pets with procs I've posted some examples below which include proc slotting and slotting for HP/acc. These are taken from my team arena pvp build. Two IOs that is mandatory i'd say is the soul bound allegiance chance for BU, it procs so often it often stacks and the lady grey proc. Some of the pets are underslotted for acc, but this is made up for the acc I get from set bonuses from the entire build and envenom.   10. AS does around 60-80% of a squishies HP usually, in arena you catch people when they are rooting or mid animation, even smart players must attack or buff (which roots them). Higher skilled stalker players can predict peoples movement, move in front of them and catch them as they are super speed/super jumping regardless if they are rooting or not. Anyways, I'm not trying to call you out or anything, just clarifying what this AT is capable of. I used to pvp on test ladder back in the day so just figured I'd share my knowledge.

  13. A good pvp map is a map that has a mix of wide open and closed areas as well as having many levels of verticality (buildings/bridges/objects) as well as objects to break line of site with.
  14. That set needs a rework, I'd actually roll one for pvp if it had cobra strike, crane kick and eagles claw instead of all those awful shuriken attacks. I don't mind 1 or 2 shuriken attacks, but there's 4+ caltrops which is absolute garbage. I'd like the set to look something like this: Shuriken throw Storm Kick Spinning Kick Focus Chi Dragon's Tail Crane Kick Crippling Axe Kick Explosive Shuriken Eagle's Claw You could argue that dominators would be in trouble with so many melee attacks but you should be using your control powers to defend yourself anyways. Plus it'd be interesting to have a melee oriented set and makes this set way more interesting.
  15. PVP in this game is anything but a dice-roll.
  16. The general philosophy will depend upon build you have and what your primary use of it will be (8v8/1v1/zones etc). But in general the idea is to 2acc/dam (just use a dam/acc IO from a random set and +5 it using enhancement boosters) and 4 damage proc slot your heavy hitting attacks. All other attacks you generally slot them to achieve set bonuses over proccing them out. Reason begin the current proc system favors slow animating attacks with longer recharges. Basically the slower animating/longer recharge an attack is, the higher chance it has of procs going off. So proccing out a tier 1 blast like flares is not going to as effective as proccing out blaze. As far as set bonuses go you want to aim for capped hp(squishies its 1606, MMs dont get anywhere near this because their base is 808 though), accuracy (often times you slot attacks 2 acc/dam and 4 procs and that leaves you with 60% accuracy, this helps fill that gap and allows you to get closer to ED cap), +rech (good for many reasons, not as strong as it was pre-i13 though because of DR) and depending on the build +dam (this DRs in pvp so it's not good to sacrifice HP/rech/acc for dam). Once you get your main attack chain slotted for damage, everything else is just up for set bonuses. AT IOs generally have the strongest set bonuses because you can catalyze them which increases their set bonuses pretty dramatically so they are often times optimal (scrapper/stalker AT IOs for instance are crazy good). super jump/super speed/hasten/acrobatics (on squishy character with no mez protect toggle) are required for pvp. 3 slotted stamina with perf shifter +end proc is pretty standard as well.   17. If you have melee pets yeah you better go black scorpion and get webnades (as well as powerboost) for the extra mezzing and -jump.
  18. I think you could pull off a demon/poison, like you were saying, life drain makes up for poison's lack of self heal so demon would lose that but make up for it in ranged damage. Beasts on the other hand, I have never seen anyone roll one before and I am not familiar with the set myself, I know it's all melee which would probably be a pain to manage in pvp (all the pets running into melee potentially leaving you out of BG mode) but poison's lockdown is quite strong if you can get it off which would let your beast pets get in. Beast pets also accept the most damage procs of any pets which could lead to some potentially high damage. I just don't know how much damage they do or what their power set is. If their powers are mostly AOE they won't be too effective until pvp AOE damage nerf gets reverted. If they are mostly single target bites or whatever then I think they have potential. I have considered rolling a beast/kin as well, speedboosting the pets to let them get into melee faster.
  19. Hey guys, Sharing my mind/rad pvp dominator build I use for 8v8 arena and zone pvp. Devastating blow and radiation siphon hit like a truck and your ranged attack of dominate->proton volley->xray beam is fast and does decent enough damage. Hibernate allows you to stay alive evade coordinated spikes. 1500+ HP (with accolades) allows you to survive in general as well as increasing the effectiveness of green insps. TK can set up slow snipes for more initial damage. This build also provides some basic KB protection (41) against most attacks (force bolt from bubblers is probably still gonna KB you). Overall this is a fun pvp build with a lot of versatility and one of the better dom pvp builds you can roll with. The primary way to play this build is to webnade->powerboost->envenom->weaken->neurotoxic breath to lock down your opponent and let the knights start headsplitting. With this build you get around 1200 HP (with hp accolades). In BG mode you will be pretty tanky especially with life drain. Knights will chunk HP if they get in close. This is a hard build to play but it's really fun and rewarding. Endurance is hard to manage though so make sure you bring blues.
