I have tried to like Beam Rifle, tried different ATs, different builds and I just can't do it. It's so weirdly slow. Has odd delays in firing and animation. Did a Dilemma Diabolique Trial yesterday with my beam blaster. Was only blaster on league, asked to deal with the Lifegiving Essence. But it was so slow shooting them I could get them all in time. Thank goodness there was other ranged toons on the league. Yeah it hits hard and is great on AVs and pylons, just don't do anything else I guess. Of course I'm a just bitter old man that spent to much time and inf into these damn beams

Yes, but there is so many variables at play here. Someone much smarter than me will tell you about them. I know my level 25 Elec Affinity Def is very useful on teams at that level. I know my dom is useful for holds and controls at all levels. ( nothing quite like locking down a whole ambush before it even gets to team ) And debuffs are always, always welcome.

Like most people, I like some, dislike others. DB is good in that you can use or ignore. My main problem child is TW momentum .....I can never get that working worth a damn, I just gave up on it.

Here is a totally gimped not at all useful Dark/Mental build that I still could not push to soft-cap defense. Fire/Cold/Smash/Lethal/Energy all above 40% but could not get to 45% Hasten is perma tho

I always use 2 accounts when farming, been my experience you get more drops with 2. At this point I am more interested in drops than anything else. I use a tank on follow for more aggro pull. Park your self between 3 or 4 packs and just pull them all.

As the titled states, wondering what would be the best AT for pairing Elec Melee and Shield Def ? One of my first toons was a Elec/Shield Brute but I struggled with finding a build that I liked. And I got to wondering maybe I would be better off re-rolling as a different AT. Any thoughts, build suggestions and tips very welcome.

I think before any advice or suggestions you should ask one simple question, How long have you been playing? The answer to that will go a long way on how to proceed

I am struggling with why you would put a melee attack on auto? Just click/press it in your normal attack chain rotation?

What you don't like fighting a huge bucket of hp for what seems like half an hour only to find out there are 3 more? smh

Banished is the ONLY untouchable pet that does damage , Hence why it is the one most farmers use

And on villians you can fight some heroes (which is an AV) in Abyss arc and Tavish Bell arc is 2 good ones.

Since you ask, it is 400% on a scrapper (+100% base) One other thing to consider when fighting AVs is debuffs, you might want to consider adding Weakened Resolve or Corrosive Vial and Envenomed Daggers .

First world problems

Ok, I need help/inspiration. Want to do a Plant/Savage Dom but I hate everything I come up with in the costume design, have deleted 3 so far. Just not feeling the plant options available. So male body, nature themed is my first instinct but I am not tied to it, open to any ideas at this point.

Have always found themed TFs fun to do. Been waiting to see someone put an all Earth themed ITF together.

Yeah but putting the Avalanche Chance for Knockdown proc in GroundZero works so damn good and it's fun!

My run on Villainous was just over 2 hours, with 3 defeats. Two of them on the fight that started this thread. Was on a Nrg/Nrg Stalker. Time could be alot better but I had to afk twice and was not using Amps. Also reading all dialogue stuff I am not sure why the buff bar isn't showing all my buffs in the screenie

I cleared all the adds and then tried killing Mr. Rodney and like you said he healed, I thought Zoe was healing him. So I killed her first and Mr. Rodney was easy after that.
