There should be some reward for having it. Besides, the Alpha slot helps the character and is not the same as showing up with a giant monster to mega destroy everything. $5 remove all but Alpha from content under 50 Are Lore, Judgement or others really need to participate in level 49 and below content?
  2. maybe it'll spark some interesting team dynamics. maybe it'll energize some renewed interest.. one ranged, one Targeted AoE and one PBAoE field. Seems pretty reasonable.

  5. I figured there was some intention to the distribution. Seeing each enhancement value and the set bonuses, it doesn't look willy-nilly.
  6. Pretty neat. Adding teleport to a super speed similar is great. Like the +vertical and the 'vanish' is very interesting with numerous applications from breaking line of sight to stealth like abilities. A self boost! AWESOME Looks like these are all usable in some fashion and can help a character specialize. It looks like it will be interesting to experiment combining these with other powers.

  8. Take solace in the recent work being done by the Homecoming development team. This effort would likely not take place if some change was imminent.
  9. Are we going to see a thread for each enemy group mechanic someone finds troubling? ..well okay, that's probably going to happen. To each we will likely see repeated many ways and many times: "It is working as intended." AND "There are already in-game solutions to deal with it. (usually multiple)" There should be appreciation that the game encourages some tactics but does not demand them.

  12. I'm okay either way. There is a decent investment to get phase shift and it should work as intended. Keeping the activation time as short as possible for an 'oh shoot' power would seem paramount. I am totally in favor of using phase to attack a phased target (Carnival of Shadows or pvp). All that said, continuous cycling of intangible and/or untouchable powers should not be possible. If a character uses phase shift there should be a gap between activations that cannot be overcome even with assistance. Sure use hibernate & have phase shift available back to back. But not hibernate, phase shift, hibernate (or similar) without some type of interruption.
  13. Can folks really handle start to finish on a more challenging level? Lets take the training wheels off and see how it goes. No P2W No base teleport macro exploit No startup funds No Architect Entertainment farming No temp powers Feel free to use travel powers, pool powers, epic pools powers, side kicking, inspirations, enhancements, etc. Maybe we should have an option at startup that enables this mode. It would be great to then kick it up and have Master mode. You die, you start over.
  14. that's fair @Haijinx it's also like me wanting to play a petless mastermind. I can do it but that's not what was intended. that said, if we can mount a flying carpet or rocket board we should be able to mount flying dragons or even a scooter.
  15. I get what you are saying. I'm also going to strongly disagree. Travel powers = A foundational aspect of what let's many players feel super and set the game apart. If a player chooses to not take a travel power and they have to ninja run across a map or rely on a teammate's Recall Friend. That's a choice that was made. Live with it or respec. To say there are only a handful of pool powers worth taking is opinion and likely exaggeration. There is usually at least 2 decent powers in a pool and sometimes more. I like a lot of them and find the number of pools we can choose sometimes limiting. This leads me to make intentional choices. Sure I want Hasten, Hover, Combat Jumping, Maneuvers and Weave to easily soft cap a squishie AND boost recharge. Is the game broke that I can't, heck no. This is part of what makes it interesting and so replay-able for lots of folks.
  16. could we entice you to work on energy transfer instead.. 🤪😁 PK will likely knock it out of the park if they get some help with the UI. Alternately if you compared notes they might switch to a badge tracker or off-line AE mission builder.
  17. I am guessing this and PK's are the same effort. That said, it's looking nice and clean. Folks will want to see numbers for each power, enhancement and build totals. I would guess these are also known and in the works.

  20. #1 "Would you sacrifice Def for Psi resist?" Nope #2 the game provides a way to temporarily address things that come up from time to time. Inspirations. #3 "playing around in Mids reborn" Don't trust Mids (great tool but it is rarely 100% correct 100% of the time) Lastly, like much of the game, it boils down to preference or trade offs.
  21. @GM Miss does an amazing job at summarizing discussions and giving credit to constructive contributors of each discussion by editing the original post. I am going to agree with @Tyrannical and offer an slightly altered suggestion. Suggestion - Include a link with the title in the original post once a discussion has started. We could just check there each Sunday and also view previous discussions. This would seem to be a minor effort compared to what GM Miss is already doing. Link could be the title or separate. Example: Weekly Discussion 36: Arachnos Widows (Link) Why? Sure I can be lazy from time to time. (actual alt character name: Lazy [50 stone/fire brute]) However, using the forum search tool to look for "Weekly Discussion 12: Costume and Character Creation Ideas" returned "Found 88075 results" of which the first page does not include the searched item. Refining the search with my especially weak search foo did not help. (maybe this discussion only happened on Discord)
