Steel Canyon, Outcast says to Tsoo: "Those who live by the sword, get shot by those who don't."

Freak Chopper: Man, with all these jerks, how are we gonna start that riot now? Mad Freak Gunner: It's all good, man. Mad Freak Gunner: We can have a riot anywhere we want. Freak Chopper: Really? Mad Freak Gunner: Yeah, really. Mad Freak Gunner: That's the truth about the Freakshow. The riot is right here inside all of us. Freak Chopper: Oh, wow. Freak Chopper: That's so Profound. Mad Freak Gunner: It's a little something I do.

@Warshades Thanks. I understand the difference between Defense and DeBuffing Defense. I have for a very long time been under the impression that there was a wrinkle in the Alphas when it came to Defense Debuffs effectively buffing Defense as well. (this may have been addressed and I missed it, or I was under the wrong impression all along (I'm okay with either)) Mids for a long time showed adding one of the Alphas with a Defense Debuff would add Defense to self. (as shown in the images in the first post) In-game, the Detailed Info tab for applicable Musculature powers actually currently states "+11.00%% strength to all defense on self" in addition to the Defense Debuff statements. This may be where confusion stems from. The Detailed Info tab for Musculature Core Paragon under 'Grants power Defense DeBuff' it reads: Grants power Defense DeBuff Very Rare Activation Time :0.00s Recharge Time: 0.00s Accuracy: 1.00X Power Type: Global Enhancement Target Type: Self Effect Area: Single Target +11.00%% strength to all defense on self Ignores buffs and enhancements unresistable +11.00%% strength to defense debuff on self Ignores buffs and enhancements unresistable +22.00%% strength to defense debuff on self Ignores buffs and enhancements unresistable

We can make appropriate edits as needed. Please point to the information (not that I don't trust what you are saying) I just can't find anything and memory is fuzzy.. It's not that big a factor or deal breaker to the character. I would like it to be accurate. City of Data had the 'Increases defense debuffs by {Boost.Attrib.Defense.Scale}%' which I tried to be funny with.

Nope. They said they saw ________, and then asked separately "But are they THAT good in comparison to other Corr etc?" I read it one way, you can choose to read it and limit your answer however you like.

Astral Christy / Empyrean Michael (bring back some capabilities)
Troo replied to Troo's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
At least the Unlock Alpha Slot Voucher for 1 character part. -
Searching for something else I found: In Oroboros there is a contact called Astral Christy; you can use 5 Astral merits to gain an email voucher which will unlock your Alpha slot on any toon that is trained to 50. Astral merits are awarded during the Incarnate trials, for doing the Tin Mage or Apex TFs, and for running the Signature Story arcs. https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Incarnate_Merit_Vendor Account Rewards Incarnate Unlock Alpha Slot Voucher for 1 character = 5 Astral Merits Other potential considerations: Recipes & Enhancements Archetype Enhancement Non-special piece = 25 million inf + 55 Astral Merits Archetype Enhancement Special piece = 25 million inf + 70 Astral Merits Recipe PVP IO Set Recipe Very Rare IO Set Realizing that there was some Incarnate farming exploits we'd like to not.. (Empyreans!!), the Alpha unlock for veterans is lost to time.

or... it's not a player.

Mini-Mode's "Chibi" head - can it just be an option?
Troo replied to Screaming Mimi's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Sounds right. A request/suggestion for something else can still be valid even if not currently supported. -
Nope. Some sets may edge ahead. Is Cold THAT good in comparison to others, not really. Def vs -ToHit, AoE vs patches, +MaxHP vs Heal, buffs vs debuffs.. lots of ways to get the job done. I'd take a good ______ player over a FOTM chaser. If a player is a good /Cold pilot, it's good. If a player is a good /Dark, /Kin, /Traps, /etc pilot, they are good. Most players at high levels should be able to use Incarnates, Power Boost, DeBuffs, Burnout, etc..

Interesting. This looks different from a Paladin style. I could definitely work many Melees with Dark Miasma and love it. Twilight Grasp Tar Patch Darkest Night Howling Twilight Shadow Fall Fearsome Stare Petrifying Gaze skip Black Hole skip Dark Servant I agree with @biostem asking for the Defender numbers (support as a Primary) could make for stronger survivability.

The 'Villainously Cost Effective' series of builds goal is not to create the most bestest build ever, it is to create a build that exceeds budget expectations. To use less expensive and readily available enhancements and still achieve good survivablility and endurance management BEFORE incarnates. These should be easily personalized and still be effective. ~75 enhancement slots total: ~55 enhancements for ~1-1.2M each or less, ~10 enhancements for ~2-3M each should total less than 95M, leaving ~10 enhancements that well exceed 3M (purps are spendy) Archetype: Corruptor Primary Power Set: Fire Blast Secondary Power Set: Kinetics w/o Incarnates a bit higher w/ Alpha Agility Corruptor - Fire - Kin.mxd <--older Mids format Powers selections with enhancements Credit: Voltak who has taken a similar build through hardcore missions at the highest settings

Build: Soft capped or near soft capped defense with effective endurance management. Pre-Incarnates Swap to Agility instead of Musculature Blaster - Psychic - Mental.mxd <--older mids format (replace Psionic Dart with Dominate Will in game, same slotting) Powers selections with enhancement sets This ported well to Fire Blast, Ice Blast, and Assault Rifle. Many of the other sets would likely work as well.

@AK The Bro So how's this going? Still only 2 posts (on this account). Oh Black Ass, did you provide the OP with any builds to look at or reference? Did you help the OP with any power suggestions or guidance? Maybe I missed them. You get to have your opinions but it does get old watching you try and troll JJ and their builds all over the forum.

Maybe it's a good idea, maybe not. But that would be a different game likely requiring different backend and engine. (not shouting you down)

Negative, Ghost Rider. That pattern may be closed.

Bad games/products are worked on and released all the time. Delusion is common. Games have to nail so much; look & feel, controls, sound, balance of challenge/reward on top of story & immersion being captivating and fun. The odds of getting it right are not high. Choosing to jump into a niche with comparable offerings can be dangerous versus creating something unique. While not interested in Ship of Heroes since early on, that team may have been better served leaning heavily into "a tiny indie team on a shoe string budget" and lowering expectations. Anthem - Great example of nailing almost everything but badly missing on just a couple basic aspects. Not rare: Judging from the long development cycle and the emphasis on the game being AAA, _____ likely invested over $200 million in the project - money they obviously can’t recoup. While _____ has improved the game since its launch, there is often no second chance to make a good first impression in the video game industry.
