  1. You can use a macro to e-mail an inspiration to a global. This is mostly helpful when farming with Windfall activated. No one seems to be quite sure exactly what Windfall does, or that it does what it says it does, except for one thing - it greatly increases your chances at t3 insp drops. I actually tend to fill up e-mail with insps after a non-stop hour with Windfall. I do want to clarify point 8. You can put 100 insps into ONE bin. Multiple bins means even more. If you create a base just for insps (I may have done this while in peak hording mode at one point) then you can store 1,400 inspirations. Also worth noting that Masterminds can use macros/binds to feed inspirations to minions. It's quite helpful to get adept at this especially if you play a non-healing secondary and want to pass a green insp to a minion asap.
  2. Virgil also triggers a zombie invasion.
  3. Regardless of what the badge says, the Malta Titans do not need to combine, a mob that spawns as a boss counts too.
  4. Whenever I've wanted to see the result of stacked -res I'd flashback to around lvl 30 and get some of the wailers swimming around St. Martial to attack. Doing so willshow a result of (A) to the prior question.
  5. I've got a "thing" for Cold (Bots, Thugs, Necro, Demons all at 50, all t4s with Cold). I've never had an issue with the lack of a heal and never take the Medicine pool. It does behoove you to set up binds (or macros if you prefer) to feed green insps to your pets. Status was never a problem because my MO is "Defense amplifier to 50 then clarion" when I want to solve that particular problem. What can a /Cold MM solo? Well, anythng. I've not used one for 4/8 end game TFs, I just find those a slog solo, but GMs/AVs and the like, no problem. Oddly enough, mere moments ago I was putzing around in Mids considering making a Merc/FF. Once it was all done I noticed the resulting Mercs defense was so high I didn't need PB to soft-cap, which caused me to wonder if I should just make another Cold, since I had initially chosen FF for power boost. I've some figgerin' to do... Anyway, Cold = good for a MM. Very goodl.
  6. No offense to the author, but the FF Bible is now the FF Apocrypha, way out of date with respect to recent changes. I too ran a /FF Corruptor after the changes and I was very pleased. I also went Soul for PB and though yes, a Defender can also potentially boost shields the question then becomes "soft cap team with Corruptor offense or (potentially exceed) soft cap team with Defender offense?". I don't regret choosing the former.
  7. I like it, it's subtle for both effect and visually but effective. I use 2 level 53 HO Membranes.
  8. Like I said: "Eochai and Jack in Irons will now reward their badges on defeat regardless of how much damage the player does to them." https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Issue_26_Page_2#Badges
  9. It won't show up if a) you're aligned red b) you have already attained it Whenever I see this issue raised, the answer is inevitably one of those two options.
  10. This is the day! I'm very much looking forward to this and hope to see you, the reader, at 8 pm EST (midnight UTC). I'll be hanging out by Arbiter Richard so just give a shout in broadcast to get scooped into a team.
  11. If you're going to +5 an IO for comparison it's only appropriate to similarly maximize the HO. A lvl 53 Acc/Dmg HO would give 38.33% enh to each attribute, compared to the +5d PVP's 33.1%. The marginal value of this is up each individual. In the absolute though, a maxxed HO > maxxed anything (non-purple) else (assuming enhanced like attributes).
  12. I'm no RPer, at all, but I need to have Selnum be my contact in PI. For cool factor, Magnum >>>>>>>>>>>>> Hawaii 50.
  13. The Missourian in me made me want to see for myself how the macro worked now. Well, I've been to Mizzou once in my life, so let me say the "empiricist in me" instead. I set my stop watch for 15 seconds and clicked like Hector Salamanca . From past experience I expected to see 10, 15, maybe even 20 fewer packs in my inventory but instead *drumroll* 4. 4 packs in 15 seconds. Yikes. This settles whether I'm opening my Winter Packs stash or not before selling (not opening).
  14. Ah, I have to confess I haven't done this in months, probably a couple of months before the WP sale to get rid of inventory before it was seasonally adjusted.
  15. You can open literally hundreds of packs in seconds with these macros: salvage_open S_HVSuperPackSalvage$$salvage_open S_RVSuperPackSalvage salvage_open S_WinterPackSalvage You can put them all together or break out the first one into 2, I have them set up this for whatever reason. Just click click click click click until they're all gone. The animation for opening one will still play but the packs will continue to open. Then you have to manage the drops and I can't help you there.
  16. The pendulum has done swung:
  17. That's for 4 star Aeon and ITF. That's hardly the death knell for confuses.
  18. It's the end of MY AE farming. I only value one asset in game right now - Empyreans. So I currently afk farm my alts to vet level 48, then off they go to the end of the bench. Without that, I'll dust my hands off and say I'm done. I suppose, if ixp is still granted I'll potentially do AFK-ing to open lore/destiny, which is a current practice. I don't PL lowbies and I couldn't give 2 craps about inf and recipe drops now. I have more than enough of these assets to outfit toons in literal perpetuity. So... success devs! Just like they had success in getting me to stop doing CoT.
  19. I was playing my Necro MM with headphones recently' with sound at 1 entering doors was absolutely ear splitting. I'll try to use the sound editing utility to change that, it's ridiculous. My other MMs aren't that bad.
  20. Ill/traps has been one of my faves on HC. As you noticed, the cooldown period for the most important powers is significant so that means 3 things - recharge, recharge and recharge. It's clearly not a budget build and I would suggest going back with superior recharge bonuses in mind. A few things that are important - Acid Mortar is a must have. For AV/GM fights you can stack multiple of them and they're huge difference makers with -res. Don't slot procs in Seeker Drones. They simply don't work, don't slot procs in Seeker Drones unless you're seeking specific bonuses (I sometimes 6 slot it with Cloud Senses for both the recharge and range def bonuses so I have to include the proc). Just for reference, here's how I went. I would have loved to use more procs but couldn't make it work in combination with +rch and +ranged def objectives. illtraps - Controller (Illusion Control).mxd
  21. There exist farms designed to give drops at those levels. I just searched "fire 40" and "fire 30", had to wade through a bunch where the numbers meant something different but I did find examples where I was set to 25 or 35, at +4 I was fighting 29s/39s. These should drop what you're looking for, I got a lvl 39 Touch of Death, for example. If I were to do this in earnest (I won't) I'd drop the diff down since, for my guy, final to-hit was too low and fire def of 38 meant I had to be attentive either chewing purples or using the occasional heal/green insp. The /fire brute was still a good tool for the task. If my objective were to play lvl 30 roulette I'd actually just put in bids for large lots of lvl 30 recipes of uncommon sets that go to 50 and get a lot churn.
  22. Here's a real time current state: The "for sale" number includes the amount seeded by the devs. Generally that's 10M, which you'll see for all 3 tiers of salvage and super packs. Some items look to be a bit less than 10M and I'm not sure what that reconciliation is, but the rule of thumb, as I understand it is, 10M is the dev seeded amount, the amount over 10M is the player supplied amount. In the below case there are 2,945 yellow salvage pieces for sale. There are 47,377 bids. I'll let someone crunch those numbers for how many clicks and time spent that is, but it's a far far lesser scale than "millions".
  23. Not sure if there's a question intended or just venting. 16 is part of "the dark days" of any MM. You just got Faraday Cage which is a big big help. I haven't paired Thugs with EA but I would make an effort to place the FC so it covers Bruiser in melee (not a concern for you at 16) and the others at range. At this point you've got FC + a very fast recharging heal, a heal you'll be relying on greatly for a while to come. Eventually you'll get Insulating Circuit (lvl 35) which will increase survivability even further. The 6 unique IOs for res/def/regen all make a huge difference and Thugs has plenty of spots to slot them. I've put a lot of time into MMs too and I think EA is a very solid support set.
