  1. That's how it was before issue 27. From https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/The_Clockwork_Paladin The Clockwork Paladin was a Zone Event found in the High Park neighborhood of Kings Row. The Paladin is on the loose, and seemingly impervious to damage! Defeating Psionic Brass Conduits makes the Paladin vulnerable to attack, and the Shining Stars can be freed from their captors to aid in the fight. This event replaced the previous Paladin Construction zone event in Issue 24. Due to multiple bugs that often rendered the event unavailable, it was discontinued in Issue 27 and the Paladin Construction zone event was reinstated.
  2. In the Cavern of Transcendence, upon entering the mission I went straight to the door you have to enter to fight Koaga and placed the "Mark". Then went back to normal CoT activities. When the 8 obelisks were clicked, I recalled and assembled the team.
  3. I have never seen this temp power as you described it nor is it listed on this list of available temp powers: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Temporary_Powers This wasn't found on the old, paragonwiki site either.
  4. I took it on a Dominator to try it out. The uptime is low, it has a base recharge of 600 seconds (that's 10 minutes) and the HP buff last 60 seconds. I really rarely used it, mostly because these powers with hyper long recharges sort of get forgotten about. It might be a decent power if someone uses it well. Like, if you take some damage during an alpha strike and there are enough enemy live bodies around, it could give a reasonable heal. Bottom line, I'm not going call it a piece of crap, but I will say I'm not likely to take it again since I personally didn't get much utility out of it.
  5. I tried several tests: 1) crowd of about 5, did not attack, placated, saw the psi proc went off, they never aggroed 2) crowd of about 5, did attack, placated, after some period of time, they aggroed (as per usual) 3) spawn of 1, did not attack, proc went off, they never aggroed
  6. Let's take a look at Miriam Bloechl as an example. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Miriam_Bloechl She's a 25-29 contact. Her story arc covers that range exactly. Looking at the above link, you can see she has some 25-30 "out of arc" missions. So, you'll stop getting missions at the earlier of attaining level 31 or completing all of the missions that cap at 30.
  7. Does the Perfect Zinger psi proc break hide if slotted in Placate? Please no answers that begin with "I think" or "IIRC...", looking for answers that are certain. ETA: I did what I should have done in the first place and just copied a character to test to see for myself. That actually takes less time than composing a message. Just FYI I went around the portal corp parking lot and placate with the psi proc put me back into hide even when the damage applied. So the answer to my question, is "no". This was with a Bane, I assume the same would hold true for Stalkers (but that is an assumption).
  8. The accuracy is to insure it hits. That particular enhancement slotting does nothing to increase magnitude or duration. Slotting for effect, in this case immobilize, increases duration. There's no increasing magnitude short of stacking the mez. Someone will come along and "well akshually" the couple of ways to increase mag but for this purpose, I'm ignoring them (it involves incarnate powers and/or certain IOs) If you really want to see this in action you should buy the power analyzer from the START vendor and watch the attributes for mezzes as you use them.
  9. Like Flea said, this setting can't be changed in a task force so no , they couldn't change it at during an ITF. Speaking for myself I don't think about GF, at least not historically but I seem to be encountering it more frequently these days. Now it's on my checklist at Null to turn off. The shame of it not being something toggleable is that there are edge cases (I can think of one) where I do want GF and that's the Seed of Hami encounter. Because turning off GF is a standard configuration I set now, I don't get the temp fly from the Seed fight. Not the biggest deal, I've always got a flight pack but it does hinder my MMs some. I've got to say, as a GF hater, I cheered for the team lead in the OP story.

  12. I have been making efforts to acquire the new "Between Realities" accolade, which includes a requirement to complete 25 alignment tip missions . Like many of you, I have a lot of characters here on Homecoming. Not all of them are going to get this accolade but I do want many of them to have it. That means completing tips and I mean a lot of them. There is a lot of variation on the "speedability" of these missions. In order to focus on the speediest tips, I made notes on what I found to be the ones I could complete the quickest. I decided to put some formatting around these notes and publish it here as a guide to anyone interested. A couple of caveats: These ratings are completely subjective. What I rate an 8 another may well consider 6, or 10 perhaps. There was no standard used so I don't really have an answer for why one gets a rating of 7 and another gets a 6, it's all based on "feels" at the time of completion. What do the numbers mean? I use them to put tips into 3 bands: 8-10, the A tier. I load up on these from the mission computer, up to however many are needed to reach 10 points, at once. 4-7, B tier. I might do one of these if it dropped from a mob and decided to do it rather than head back to the base to purchase one from "A". 0-3, F tier. Never purchase and discard if one of these happens to drop from a mob defeat. How did I go about this? To walk through an example of how I go about this, let's use vig tips. I run these from Atlas, it's a small zone, missions will at most be .8 miles away (the largest distance I've seen), most will be 200-400 yards away and has contacts you can use LFG to port to (like Wavelength). Starting at 0 alignment points, I'll grab all the "A" tier missions, I count 6 of those. Set them all up so you can see their distance and start doing them in an order that looks efficient. When those 6 are done and assuming I got no tip drops I want to use, I'll go back to the base computer and purchase 4 more. Then I go back and purchase the morality mission that I prefer. Repeat until you see "You have earned the Multifaceted badge". Or keep on going, I won't stop you. Note - although tips won't drop once you have 3 on a side (blue or red) you can purchase significantly more. I didn't state it explicitly but a tip costs 1 Reward Merit. Even if you're frugal about spending merits, you do get 40 when you complete the morality mission. Before posting the list, I want to mention I find blueside tips much friendlier for speeding. They tend to be in the zone you choose them, unlike redside which will likely send you to Grandville, if you're over level 40 at least. Grandville, in my opinion, is NOT conducive to speeding. If you have no issue with the 3 dimensionality of that zone, you may find it less objectional than I do. This isn't a complete list, it's all the hero, vigilante, rogue and villain tips available to those level 40-50. I did not include vill tips available to vigilantes nor hero tips available to rogues. I'll do those at some point. Not today. I happen to have a character in the 30s so I did all the vigilante and hero missions for 30-40 as well. Eventually I'll try to include all levels. Not today, not this month. If you are interested in more details about each tip mission, see here: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Alignment_Mission Formatting sucks, after 15 minutes of putzing around I stopped caring. Without further ado: Level Range 40-50 Alignment Hero Name Rating Description An Unstable Trigger 3 practically identical to the vig version. 13. Snarky, this isn't meant as in-depth, but just some off the top of my head thoughts. 1. Psi Tornado doesn't do knock BACK so doesn't need any conversion to kb. It does knock up So you don't need Overwhelming Force. It is a fantastic home for the Force Feedback proc though. Using the power of (1-probability of no procs firing) it will have a very high chance of firing with decent mob density. I frankly would proc bomb it, there are tons of options. If you want to make up the lost mag 4 kb protection you could use Blessing of the Zephyr piece in fly. In general, you've got a lot of ST attacks from the primary. You could ditch one and you'd never notice. Personally I'd swap TK Blast for TK Thrust and NOT slot for kd conversion. This is a "personal taste" thing, I like to use it as "get outta my face" power. Tactics is sufficient for giving enough perception to attack stealthy mobs. I don't know of PVE cases (apparently it's helpful in PVP) where the Rectified Reticle proc is what makes the difference between an enemy being seen or not when you already have Tactics. So I'm saying just an EndRedux, or a ToHit/EndRedux (+5d) piece or a Cytoskeleton (ideally lvl 53) if you're living large. In Drain Psyche, in lieu of the two basic recharges there are heal/recharge and endmod/recharge HOs that would still get you to ED cap for recharge while buffing the stats of heal and/or end mod. With PFF, you've already got a "get out of jail" card and with Hasten active you've got only 5 seconds of DP downtime so I'm not feeling a lot of love for Force of Nature. The resists it gives is hardly god-mode (30% on top of no resists except for s/l). I don't feel strongly about this but I think there's something better to do here.
  14. I always appreciated GE's genuine energy and enthusiasm. He was active in some private channels I'm in and while he was opinionated (and I didn't always agree with those opinions) he was always, always respectful and never dismissive. He is missed and the game suffers a loss with his absence. Rest in (electric) Power good sir.
  15. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Andrea_Mitchell#Prevent_the_Banished_Pantheon_from_completing_the_ritual That particular mission is timed, you can't autocomplete timed missions. If it is that odious to you, you can simply let time run out. You can even play other missions while the clock ticks. Doing that though may not award you the temp power and MAYBE even the arc xp bonus (maybe it does). It is the last part of an arc so you will need to address it either by completing it or letting the timer run out. My 2 inf, it looks pretty easy based on stated mission objectives. Close portal, 4 artifact pieces to find sounds like 5 total glowy clicks to me. I do imagine you have to beat Archos as well. If you're not stealthy you can create "Grant Invisibility" from an SG buff empowerment statoin. It won't give you full pve invis but will make it so you can run around the map safely if you don't get too close. For clicking glowies you will probably need to defeat whoever is close to it (if any). Someone may say "just consume purple insps" but if 3-4 BP are attacking, someone is apt to get a hit in, just defeat them. I haven't done this since live so I don't remember specifics, I do remember it was popular for BP mask hunting once up a time.
  16. 1. /toggle vault is the command. 2. yes after moving from vault to salvage
  17. Here are the PI contacts: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Peregrine_Island#Contacts
  18. I was cranking out morality/alignment missions today for the new badge and made special effort to take note if badge progress was made upon completion of the morality mission. It did NOT, on several characters I monitored. So the morality does not count as one of the 25 missions for the badge.
  19. I've seen all the episodes, including the pilot referred to in the OP. That one I saw about a week ago. I'm not going to go on record saying this series was "good" but there were one or two episodes that made me laugh, the one that comes to mind is when she dated one of the Riddler's henchmen. I also remember thinking it was on an upward trend by the time it was cancelled, but not so much I was going to go letter writing.
  20. If you're thinking "Oh shucks I missed the opening night, too late for me" then think again. This coming Friday is as good a chance to join up as the opening night was. I'd say for this next session you don't need to start as a Praetorian. Make a Marine Affinity and/or Water Blast character (or use an existing one you have) with whatever alignment you want and you can still join us on the gold side. Missions will no doubt still be in Praetoria, probably focusing on some Neutropolis and First Ward arcs.
  21. The first one has been answered, there is no "penalty" except a penalty for being outside of the radius. If all 8 teammates are in range, all 8 will get ported, period, I've seen this happen plenty of times. The second question is a great one. I'd love to see this fixed. It's not game breaking but certainly "game annoying".
  22. I logged a bug for this before. I'm not saying this to say OP shouldn't have created a new thread, I'm glad they did. I just want to consolidate the issue so that whatever devs may happen to be monitoring this (if any) it can help show there's a real, replicable problem with this particular room.
  23. How and when I use temps is buried within several layers of "if..." statements. At the highest level, if the temp power is in-game time based or charge based. I'm including something lilke wedding band in the latter category even though it's limited by time, it's time of usage not in-game time. An example of the former is something like Kama from the St. Martial event which expires in 20 hours of in-game time. Then further conditions would be "is this useful?" For a lowbie controller a melee attack like that can come in handy. For others like melee classes, probably not. Rune of Warding and Iron Blade are examples of in-game time temps that I usually acquire and can find use for, at least one of them, for most characters at that level (mid 20s to mid 30s). For the temps that have less usage upon reacquiring, I really need to be in a bind to use those (Amy's Ward, Wedding Ring). Like, I need to be on a third failure of an AV on a solo tf before I'll use those. Easily replenishable temps, like Shivans, I use proactively on solo tfs just to end the AV fight quicker. I like to have a Warburg bio nuke in my inventory "just in case" but even though that can be reacquired its usage is a real last resort (only happened once on HC). Something like Enchantment of Serafina I'd have to figure if a team is going to need a boost against a psi av/hero like Numina or, well, Serafina. I'm not sure I've ever actually used it on HC. The psi resists is about the same as a small orange insp so, meh. The real bummer is you can't use these when you most want. Upthread it was mentioned using them on Mo runs but you can't, at least not the old school Mo tfs that award with no deaths. Temp powers (except for some travel) are disabled for those.
  24. Have you ever thought "I wish I could find a team in Praetoria"? Well soon (exactly 12 hours from now) you can. That is, if you're either a Marine Affinity or Water Blast user. Don't forget your wet suit! So go ahead and create your character now (or within the next 12 hours) so you're not scrambling at start time. Of course you're welcome to scramble at start time as well, you'll just be a little bit behind, which is no big deal.
