Value of CoH IP if someone want to acquire it

Realistically because the source code has been leaked the value from a commercial standpoint is pretty much non existent unless someone could figure out a means of generating a profit (CoH The Movie, Paragon Adventures The Netflix Series, Hasbro's Custom CoH action figures, etc...) The game has immense sentimental value to us as players. That said if I was an investor, unless there was a tangible means of a significant ROI, I wouldn't bother, mainly as a player I can now boot up the game whenever I want as it's hosted on numerous free private servers (including my own setup). That all said, if someone else wants to make a go at it by all means, and hopefully it works out. -

I have a very fun (but very end intensive) TW/Elec scrapper. It runs in as an electrified tornado with a giant sword. Plays like a dredel of death, as I use a proc'd whirlwind as I play.

I also have a demon/ta mm, and mind you it's only lvl 41, never in all my years of joking about a healing/buff arrow has the notion of one been so moreso desired in the mm version of trick arrow. That and I honestly wish the debuffs for TA were more impactful, but that's a bit of another discussion. -
I was trying to think of a means to improve it's play speed as well but still being a trap or such. As we tend to get left in the dust setting stuff up.

I do like Omega manuever's PBAoE Taunt mechanic to draw things in, so I'd be all for that in some traps powers.

Could always take time bomb and allow the traps player to lob a sticky bomb or fly a detonating drone over to it's target to Detonate (including a swap ammo feature to change from napalm, schrapnel, emp, or acid detonations).

I have a fun dark/rad troller that I built towards heavy recharge so AM/Hasten/Haunt/Summon Spidering are all perma. It is debufferric and can solo AVs with the heavy debuff pet damage.

I agree that teleport mag resistance needs to be reworked or a means to boost the mag of a tp for/wormhole. Especially in PvP where players will slot tp protection. It would be great to pop a power up, or maybe some kind of tp critical chance to teleport up to an AV. It would allow for more usage overall.

Honestly I'm a big fan of statistics, so I'm all for monthly updates to the datamined usage on AT's and IO usage, heck even speed of TF completion (ie. Leader Boards?) I do like to roll a lot of underused characters and come up with creative niche uses for them. IO data would help us understand how players develop their toons. The TF time completion is just for my desire for self improvement in a metric driven world where game time is an ever shrinking resource given outside influences such as work, raising a family, social activities outside of the game (ie. It's difficult to sit and play for 8 hours without something coming up), plus I like to race myself. -
If you're farming, why not just double xp, hit lvl 50, get some incarnate stuff squared away and autoexempt off the xp to double influence like the rest of us do. Pro tip, you can have a farmer on a 2nd acct, and then PL the toons you actually wanna play if you want a quick xp boost.

Whoa. The thread kind of blew up with responses since I posted it. Thanks for taking an interest in it. Let's keep it civil though, we're all on the same team, if we weren't we probably wouldn't be here together with a shared interest. This post is merely a suggestion, and realistically something likely not on a table anytime soon. That said, to clarify a couple of things: *I initially suggested the recharge reduction to make controlling groups fun and honestly worth taking the power as you can use it a little more (I'm personally not opposed to lowering the duration some to compensate, but that's just me). *I also wouldn't mind a +5 or +6 difficulty slider, as I do agree that when you build out with IO's the game can get pretty easy. Alas that's a bit of another discussion though. Thanks again, and as always much love. -
Preface: I've played City of Heroes for a very long time, and eons ago I remember being able to use Flash or Mass Confusion or Cinders, etc. to control (or later dominate) my foes. They were reliable and helped define what it meant to be a controller. But then dark times occurred, and the CoH devs decided that they would smite us for thinking that a controller could effectively control a group of would be criminals. Wouldn't it be great if we could use a AoE hold or power and it recharged out of the box significantly less than the 4 minute (240 second) timer that was imposed upon us? We live in a world where DPS can nuke every group (and sometimes twice if their a sentinel), but we are stuck waiting as CONTROL BASED AT'S are left in the dust and often times not even needed... I'd suggest that we go across the board and reduce the base recharge of controller and dominator AoE Mezzes from 240 to 90 seconds (I'd even compromise at the 2 minute mark). As usual thanks. Any thoughts on the matter?

Alright traps gets a new team buff called "Suicide Vest", it gives the buffed player a temporary +15% defense all boost which when it expires the player is killed in a massive PBAoE explosion doing Extreme damage. The Traps player when they activate the power gets a power tray with an ability called Detonate to blow up the player early. Pairs extremely well with Vengeance.

Yes. Traps could use some love. I mean just the other day I did a Manticore TF, and we got to Hopkins and someone from the team wasn't there so I set up about 12 mines. Only for the tank to fight him away from my mines and a controller then lured a single minion over my mines. All that work wasted.

Warshade I play triform perma eclipse. Peacebringer I play human form (technically biform, but dwarf to me is just a breakfree) that is perma lightform. Both work exceedingly well.

Click on Powers on your Power Tray, then click on Combat Attributes.

So I just checked in game on Everlasting on my lvl 50 incarnate rad/fire blaster. The rad blasts as you use them do leave a temporary buff with the power icon that shows your increased damage (because of defiance), the power description on those buffs mentions "-Def". I opened up my combat attributes and monitored all the defenses. I preemptively shut off stealth so its defense buff wouldn't suppress. As I attacked mobs and got increased damage due to the powers, however none of my defenses decreased when I attacked mobs. I went to IP and attacked random Family to keep it similar to your experiences. I would suggest you try and open up the combat attributes and monitor defenses and observe your defenses as you fight.

What content were you trying when you noticed this? What kind of mobs? PvE/PvP?

Widow need damage resistance they are too fragile

For a brute, I wish we had one more toggle as we have a taunt aura on our mez protection. This if you want to try and stealth you need to shut off your mez protection. IH would be perfect as a toggle for this, plus would make a lot of older Regen players happier to have it back as a toggle. Just saying.
