I have a plant/earth permadom Domi that was strong before the changes to /earth.
-
/dark is really strong and fun, you basically get a team drain psyche, the strongest Rez in the game that can be used to debuff mobs as well, an extra pet, a group stealth, and all the powers floor your targets tohit chances.
-
Radiation armor on a sentinel is really strong. I have a fully IO'd rad/rad sentinel and it holds up great. Using Dark Blast, yours will live even longer (and same as your team) as you debuff the mobs tohit.
-
Electric is pretty strong in the fact that you have a lot of soft control options, and when slotted with end mod can quickly sap everything. Pairing that with envomoned for extra toxic damagesounds like a really good idea plus you can get some decent proc slotting for some extra damage. I haven't seen the combo in action but the concept of it sounds like a great idea.

Simple change, allowing our powerset recoloring to carry over to the visual debuff of contaminated on mobs we are attacking. For instance, I have my attacks recolored to appear black with red highlights. It looks weird when contamination procs and they get a greenish colored debuff on them.
-
The language is vague. One could interpret that the change implied envenomed blades procs were mutually exclusive with other damage buffs/enhancements. So optimistically it could of made it better. However I'm not sure one way or the other as I don't have a martial assault Domi.

No, I typically don't post builds, as I don't want to limit someone else's creative freedom. If you use Mids Reborn and look at IO Set Bonuses, it becomes pretty apparent to what you need for your defenses, and what else is needed for your dps rotation. Best of luck, it's really fun.

Mid's Reborn: Hero Designer
SeraphimKensai replied to Metalios's topic in Mids' Reborn Hero Designer's Forum
Great job folks. Now we need an Android OS and iOS mobile version to make and check builds while at work... -
I have a lvl 50 water storm corruptor that I'm working on IOing out. That said, it has great synergy with the powersets and really wrecks mobs. It's a very proc friendly build, where using multiple sudden deceleration kb to kd IO's is extremely effective.

All of the powers in the Fitness pool are auto powers, in that the power is auto aka always on. The entire pool however is granted for free as an "inherent ability", as I said purchasing the power, implies that hasten would not be inherent, as you would have to expend a power selection on it.
-
For some clarification, as was requested via a message to me, I meant as an Auto Power such as any of the fitness powers, except that you would have to buy the power. I'm not necessarily advocating one way or the other for any changes mind you, just sparking a bit of discourse regarding hasten, as I thought apparent by asking a question rather than making a flat out request. And hypothetically if changed, some balancing would likely be required whether repositioning the power in the pool, or reducing it's effect to compensate as others have mentioned. That said though, it's significantly easier to achieve permadom than achieving perma hasten. So perhaps if Hasten was an auto recharge bonus power, maybe users would have similar or possibly easier methods to hit permadom, or perma pa, etc. I know with dominators in particular, you could then effectively keep domination on auto as well. Regarding the endurance usage, I think the extra recharge cycling of abilities is offset by the ability to continue to attack say a group of mobs, so I imagine without doing any empirical testing, that aspect of the endurance issue is a net zero change. That said, the 15% reduction when it crashes definitely helps deplete an endurance bar, and occurs more frequently the more endurance that is used. Then again remember I'm not expressing any one particular point of view, only discussing possibilities. Thanks.

What would the world of CoH look like if Hasten was an Auto power?

Focused Feedback: Devices, Stealth and Misc Power changes
SeraphimKensai replied to Leandro's topic in Open Beta Testing
As for the devices changes: Does this effect Traps as well, also is targeting drone from epic sets getting similar love? As far as the stealth changes, thanks for removing the movement speed debuff it was kind of annoying. That said any chance for stacking multiple sources of stealth? That way we could achieve a higher stealth mag? Or just so that one can use all their powers, example being an illusion/dark affinity controller. If I want to use my AoE that buffs my teammates and makes me stealthy, I can't use superior invis, it's be nice to stack stealth. -
I have a psi/Sr stalker that is positionally softcapped with excess defense values for incarnate content, and ~90% defense debuff resistance. It absolutely pwns pve content, to the point of not even waiting for hide, playing with scrapperlock, taking alphas so the tank doesn't die, and wrecking mobs left and right. It's 1 (possibly 2, if you don't pay attention) caveats is/are: 1. Psi damage overall is great, except against robots, mind you it still gets the job done. 2. Mez protection is click based, so if not paying attention it can expire. That said you can stack it for double protection as well, and being soft capped most mezzing attacks won't be able to hit you either.
-
I have a fully IO'd psi/Sr stalker. Full softcapped defenses to all positional defenses (and some extra for running incarnate content). With things hitting me only 5% of the time, I am able to heal myself in the middle of normal combat without issue. I do not worry at all about being hidden and often take the alpha strike from groups (although I can Dodge it). SR can be a godly secondary especially since you can get a ton of defense debuff resistance.

Farm AV's and Giant Monsters solo one at a time, yes. Farm thousands of mobs at once solo, no.
-
For single target, sonic might actually be in contention as the minus resistance paired with the damage cap will do some serious numbers.

Attuned Enhancements upper level isn't capped by set level?
SeraphimKensai replied to MrSnottyPants's topic in The Market
The bonuses carry over to higher levels just fine. What an upper level cap does is prevent the actual enhancement values from scaling further up. So a lvl 40 Decimation that gives acc/dam, will give the same acc/dam at lvl 50, and the enhancement bonus is still available at lvl 50 so if you 5 slotted it for that 6.25% recharge it's still viable, as that 6.25% in my example will only drop off if exemplared below the minimum level threshold for the enhancement. -
That said though the image you shared of the unslotted crab build in Pines gives me some concerns. The slotting for common sense powers is wildly off base, so giving you the benefit of the doubt, I assume you just randomly clicked on things to take a screenshot. If that's not the case, you'll need to study diminishing returns and overall set bonuses to ensure efficiency and optimization.
-
Crab can be built to be amazingly strong. Mine has softcapped positional defenses, significantly high typed resistances except psi (which is moderate), and +37% damage, with decent recharge. You'll want to play around with mids/pines and see what you want out of it, but you can build them to be beastly it just takes a moderate influence and incarnate investment.
-
I have a 50 bio/staff tank, and leveling up it was a beast. Sadly I haven't had the time to IO it out and incarnate it yet. At some point, but managing 18 lvl 50's is a little too much on my plate.
-
I have a lvl 50 dark/atomic and although I haven't IO'd it out it performs well in casual taskforces and missioning. That said, it has significant potential at a high level of play when built, for pve only.
-
Arcane bolt definitely can help for low level exemplaring through content or solo stuff with your containment where using all your AoEs is pointless.

/Martial blaster? I have one in the 30's and it's interesting to play with given abilities like reaction time. I'd rank it personally within the top 5 secondary sets, but that's subjective based on my own desires with a blaster. Personal experiences may vary.
