  1. They are both really good. The only difference is losing mud pots for hide. You get solid layered mitigation plus extra HP, an oh shit geode if you need it, and brimstone gives more damage. What's not to love?
  2. It's this: https://media.tenor.com/N1qtngScJ9YAAAAC/shazam-savion.gif
  3. Trick Arrow, Dark Miasma, Poison all work well.
  4. I have a very fun DM/Bio Brute. I imagine it would be even better as a tank. Bio is like Regen except pretty much better as you'll have more layered mitigation and get more damage by debuffing mobs resistances.
  5. Note that of the server population is low enough you can run three accounts at once (if your PC can handle it) I'll often do that and solo a wst TF and load the other accounts in for last missions so they get the bonus merits.
  6. I'm pretty sure it was lowered to 35 as I remember running it around there on a red side tanker not too long ago, but my memory is a bit hazy.
  7. With Primal Forces Mastery as Energy Transfer is probably the closest you can get to Rasegan.
  8. Also for the record if you roll a PB or a WS you can do the arc, you just won't get access to the patron powers upon completion.
  9. You have to be able to access the Rogue Isles, so you need to be either Villain or Rogue to start the arc, or a vigilante to join in to a team doing them.
  10. It is pretty busy, but it is a great support set that works well in melee and feels like it actually contributes with water burst, whirlpool and geyser, a proc'd steam spray isn't a bad option either.
  11. I enjoy the following electric toons, and each one has been made into a god with IO slotting (as all my toons end up): Elec/Ninja Blaster Elec/Kin Corruptor Dark/Elec Defender Elec/Rad Tanker Ice/Elec Tanker Elec/Bio Stalker Elec/Fiery Sentinel Elec/Psi Domi Elec/Cold Troller Water/Elec Affinity Defender SD/Elec Tanker EM/Energy/Mu Stalker Fire/Elec Affinity Troller Sonic/Elec Manip Blaster and even my TW/Elec Whirlwind Scrapper does well. Electric is super versatile. Just about any pairing with it can be made into a great toon. (Note to myself: it looks like I need an Electric Brute, besides my farmers that use Mu).
  12. Having previous experience running a private server for another MMO, and being a mod author for a number of other games I can tell you that there's a huge time requirement that goes into not just coming up with the idea for what new feature or asset that you want, but coding it in, making a model, textures, sound files, testing it, finding out something went wrong, going back trying to fix it and breaking something else, coming back to fix that, retesting it, then deciding to change up a core function of what you were originally trying to do and retesting, etc., only hoping at the end of the cycle you have something that you feel confident enough for a public release. Then you end up having other people picking apart your efforts, maybe some good comments, or catching a big here and there, but also some trolls and such as well. Then you go back and fix it again. Sometimes you're never content with it and keep adding new things year after year and so on. Then you realize that you're not being paid for any of that, you're married, have a full time job, a baby, a dog, and maybe occasionally want to catch a hockey game if at the end of the day you're not ready to wrap up in blankets in the fetal position to reset and do it all again. At the end of the day, we as players aren't owed anything. We're playing a dead game being resuscitated at the hospital just clinging on for a few more moments. Any changes we're given are ultimately part of the contract we accept to play on any particular server (that said I still have my hills I'm willing to die on, hello superspeed stealth exclusivity).
  13. Doable but that would take some modicum of coding as there's no account wide currencies to expand that to incarnate salvage. The way I saw it would let you email it to yourself without taking any significant time for someone to create code for an account wide currency. Not to say an account wide currency doesn't have merit though.
  14. That's a loaded question. The answer at least IMO requires a degree of recharge investment to ensure a fluid rotation. Some people use blinding feint, ablating strike, sweeping strike, ablating strike. With more recharge you could go blinding feint, sweeping strike, ablating strike, and back to blinding feint and repeat. It all depends on what you're trying to get out of it. I personally like some of the combos.
  15. I lean towards just making them account bound and tradable like empyrean merits. That way since you earned them you can use them on your alts.
  16. Some ATs get better ATOs than others, but it's all subjective based on what your trying to get out of a toon. Stalkers, Scrappers, Tankers, Blasters, Corruptors, and SoA have pretty great ATOs imo. Others have some decent bonuses but some don't seem as useful for what I usually build towards. Most of the AT's procs are overall pretty useful and often times worth having those at the bare minimum.
  17. It's definitely interesting to know the exact max distance for rewards. It seems a bit strange that although you can kill mobs at greater than that range and you are not rewarded, but I suppose there's almost no risk to you at that range in the first place.
  18. A Darkness Control/Darkness Affinity Controller with a bit of Leviathan for waterspout is pretty epic. That could be one to experiment with as well.
  19. @Zectoffers some pretty good comments. I would add, Take a the freebies stealth io out of fly, stick either a speed or leaping stealth io in sprint, it does the same thing and allows you to replace the slotting in fly with a 2 piece of blessing of the zephyr for a 1.25% range boost. Weave, you'll get better defense replacing the non lotg global recharge IOs with +5 boosted shield wall defense and defense/end. The lotg def/end in hover can easily be replaced with a kismet tohit global. You'll get more bang for your buck there. Rise of the Phoenix I'd replace with maneuvers personally. You can adjust some slotting choice to allow you the 1 lotg 7.5 and the 2 boosted shield walls. I generally like procs, but you seem to have overkill on them. I'd make sure your ranged defense gets to at least 32.5% because then you can soft cap your ranged defense with a small luck inspiration as needed. Also flash arrow helps in this regard however some of your tohitdebuff will get resisted by some mobs.
  20. Welcome back to another week of our revolving conversation. This week we dig into the AE and building custom missions and player created content. For the purposes of this thread we'll focus on non-farm AE content, as I'll bring a separate farming thread up in the future. Have you created any custom missions in the AE? If so do you prefer to build standalone singular missions or create essentially your own story driven taskforce? Do you create custom NPCs or enemies for your content? Does that add to your narrative or just a creative outlet for you? What other elements of the Mission Architect do you use when designing your missions? Are there RP elements to your story driven AE missions? How difficult is your AE missions? What drives you to design your own missions or stories in the AE? Feel free to plug some of your own content. Thanks once again.
  21. I agree with @Spaghetti Betty as any defense you build towards will have no DDR, so you'll be highly susceptible to defense debuffs. that said depending on the content you're running, defense debuffs might not be an issue. Fiery aura is a resistance based set that uses healing to compensate for incoming damage. I would slot enough slow resistance to prevent slows from affecting your healing flames and also have a reasonable degree of recharge which would help with that and your burn. Knockdown also can mitigate further damage as well.
  22. They make a little blue pill for that these days. But if taunt is broken I guess I haven't really noticed it. I'm not opposed to taunt having a mag 5 taunt for PvE. Currently taunt, confront, and provoke all have a mag 4 taunt effect. By giving the taunt power an extra mag, it would help it with threat generation and agro control imo. That said I wouldn't change the mag in PvP as that's already balanced around the mag 4 effect.
  23. I like this idea, to sort of lock in a slot so it only randomizes other slots.
  24. Most of my toons can handle soloing +4*8 albeit at differing paces. I fall under the category of being a min-maxer myself, but I tend to team more often then I solo. So I often contribute decently to my team's efficiency. That said I don't like carrying a team, so if there's people that are often dying or sitting on their ass, I usually don't hang out.
  25. Fire/kin tanks are definitely pretty rare.
