I really really enjoy my ice/dark/dark corruptor. It shreds things that aren't hard mode. It does alright in hard mode as well, but /cold is better imo for it than /dark. It all depends on what you want out of your characters and how you build them.

This thread is probably better suited under the Blaster's AT subforum. That said world of confusion works best when stacked with other sources of confusion like Artic Air from Ice Control. As @Frozen Burnstated the pbaoe range of the power would sort of work in better application with a melee based blaster, as the radius is 8 feet. here's the CoD page: https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=blaster_support.mental_manipulation.world_of_confusion&at=blaster

Caltrops are treated as a patch/pseudopet. They last 45 seconds, have a radius of 15 feet. Most targeted AoE procs have a PPM of 3.5, there are outliers however, but using 3.5 as a basis for calculating, Caltrops can get a 21.71% chance to trigger every 10 seconds.

Engine won't allow it. I have my own server and it would require a pretty significant rebuild to get somewhere close to what you're looking at doing mainly because of how character names work, as globals we're originally implemented as an after thought and the original devs thought if you needed your character on another server if you rebuilt it would keep you actively working on rebuilding and paying a subscription.

So things were super slow, to help mitigate some incoming damage. Everyone was at HP cap due to overlapping Frostwork, which should of boosted the amount of absorb they all got from you. Layered Defense shields, likely allowed for staggered Ageless Radial DDR? Plus the heavily stacked debuffs for the hard fights. Looks fun. So what caused the 9 deaths? And what might allow you to make the sub 30 mark?

My "main" is basically Legion. It's an omnipotent psychopath with 148 distinct personalities and powersets. Every once in awhile a new personality emerges with its own psyche and powersets.

You have to do a ritual to Beelzebub and resummon Mephistopheles and make a demonic pact to get them back for a small price.... your soul. Or just click on one of the demonic summon powers in the primary and cast it. Maybe your power tray bar got shifted.

give iTrial leader a tip upon completion
SeraphimKensai replied to Gerswin's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
A much better system for the the @SeraphimKensaitax program. For each time you're rewarded either influence, or merit, etc. 1% gets redistributed to me. Seems totally fair and good for the economy. ... Realistically you can send someone a tip via email if you feel inclined, but to make the system designed to reward the leader over the rabble, then we'll have all chiefs and no indians. -
Blaster has a Melee 1.0 and Ranged 1.125 Damage Scale while a Corruptor has a Melee 0.75 and a Ranged 0.75 Damage Scale. Otherwise they both have the same 500% damage cap, note 100% of that is the base, so in game at the damage cap you'll see a bonus of 400%. So without buffs or enhancements a 100 point ranged attack on a blaster will do 112.5 points of damage, while the Corruptor does 75 points with the same attack. When they use buffs a blaster will continue to pull ahead in a vacuum than a corruptor unless that corruptor has either damage capped themselves or reduced the target's resistance enough to compensate for the damage scale. On a team the blaster will benefit from fulcrum shift or resistance debuffs just like the Corruptor. The Corruptor will not benefit from the Blaster's attacks (unless they are reducing resistance as well). That said both AT's can be built to be extremely sturdy however depending on Powerset the Corruptor will have an easier time due to buffs to it's resistance/defense in the secondary. The Corruptor is a force multiplier much the same way a Defender is, where a Blaster is at it's core damage. A team of 8 Corruptors on a 4 Star ITF is going to get a lot farther than a team of 8 Blasters (assuming we're not staggering Barriers and other Destiny powers).

Seems like an interesting concept.

I play a DP/Devices with Fold Space and high melee defense. It works pretty well.
-
I play a nature/seismic. It seemed to fit the theme the toon was going for and also has a decent assortment of -defense and knock down on the attacks to assist with debuffing and mitigating incoming damage for the team.

Crey targeting order in your 40s
SeraphimKensai replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in General Discussion
I actually like the Crey Revamp, before they were a complete pushover with built in annoyance of a Mogging/Elude Paragon Protector. Maybe I'm a little sick and twisted, but when I get confused in PvE I pop reds, buildup, aim, etc and go to town on those pesky teammates. It's not my fault I was confused. -
Willpower scrapper is running Rise to the Challenge. It has a taunt aura baked in.
-
I may have an SR/RM with RoP and Darkest Night. It might be a bit overkill, but useful for 4star stuff.
-
Also it'd be great if the extracted pet matched your own color scheme.

I did that with an Empath in circa 2004, once they raised the level cap to 50. Then I did a respec and added in a few attacks once PvP came out so I could kill steal my team.

Feedback: Elec/Elec/Mu Controller for team support
SeraphimKensai replied to Guffnat's topic in Controller
I noticed that the first build has a membrane in empowering circuit. It doesn't benefit from defense or need recharge to be permanent. I'd suggest a THB/EndRdx io. -
Sadly I don't have access to Mids at work, so I'll check out your build when I have some time hopefully tonight. Working, have a newborn, have MMA practice tonight, and my team plays in MNF. If not tonight I should have a bit of time tomorrow to look at it.

Each of my VEATs run 3 builds a piece, and I use macros to hotswap builds on the fly. My Kheldians also have 2 builds a piece, one with shape shifting and the other without. Otherwise I haven't had much compulsion to make multiple builds for my other toons, aside of one that I have as an experiment that has hasten, adrenal booster that I'll click and then switch builds to make use of those powers that I couldn't fit in the rest of the build.

Best Primary and 2ndary set for 4 Start ITF
SeraphimKensai replied to GamingwithWilson's topic in Tanker
Without support nothing is going to solo and take all that incoming damage/debuffs. That said using the geometry to kite to minimize incoming dps can definitely help. I did that to keep Rommy on me while the team dealt with the 4 nictus towers. -
Is this game too solved to be fun? :(
SeraphimKensai replied to pawstruck's topic in General Discussion
Speed runs are by nature comprised of people that are min-maxers trying to get additional reward merits on as short of a time as possible since the higher difficulty settings don't give more reward merit drops. Most people on a built out toon in a speed run can solo the whole thing if they had too, but working together can accelerate the clear time. A setting for everyone to feel useful would be the hard mode settings. -
As @Uun said there's 2 unique resistance IO's that each give +3% defense a piece. Otherwise, there's typically IO choices you can pick in mids that give some type of defense. You can keep Advanced Totals screen open to watch your defense rating. Also a power like power build up will lie to you as it boosts defense for 10 seconds, but mids will show the value with it under the effect of the boost if you have the power toggled on in mids. If you have a power that boosts special, make sure to take that into consideration. You don't always need super high defense, but it helps with survivability considering there's no self heal. That said if you solo or play on teams will affect your choices.

Sure I'll bite. Looking at your advanced totals and set bonuses I don't really get what you're necessarily trying to accomplish here as I don't really see a focus on the IO slotting to really key in on any particular area. Some of your slotting choices are wasted ie. 3 slotted hasten, when you can use 2 and +5 them. Additionally you have some powers slotted with IO's and some slotted with SO's. Also Health is unslotted, most people will put at least 1 if not more healing procs into that power to increase efficiency in the toon. My only logical assertation is that this is perhaps a live build that you had slotted with SO's and you've been replacing to IO's as you go so to speak. On my fire/poison corruptor I built with a focus on a few things: Positional Defense ( I have melee at 45.05% and ranged at 40.99%) - given the nature of how envenom/weaken/venomous gas work, and that inferno is a pbaoe, I live in melee on this toon. I even took Oppressive Gloom to help mitigate incoming damage from minions as I wanted Soul Drain to increase my DPS. Mez protection, because I live in melee and am using offensive toggles as a big part of my toon, mez protection was important so I went with Clarion, as if you get mezzed in melee and unable to operate things can go south very fast. The toon is still end heavy as well in playing it, so depending on my team and if there is someone I can trust to keep a Clear Mind, Enforced Morale, etc. on me then I will swap Clarion to Ageless Radial for the refill and then DDR for myself and team.

/poison Corruptors are fine. I have a fire/poison that is probably in my top 20 toons of my 140 or so toons. Yes they don't get a self heal which is a bit alarming but once you get your debuffs laid on, you'll reduce incoming damage substantiality and a respite is usually good enough. I use clarion as having mez protection is important, especially using venomous gas, we want to stack that with our main target debuff, and the targets affected by splash debuffs from weaken and envenom.
