  1. I wouldn't mind a DM/DM myself.
  2. Irradiated ground I knew was coming. Burn though seemed without merit as adding further recharge into it just seems counter to Fire Armor. That said maybe I could live with a balance of adding more max targets to it if they want to increase the recharge, but realistically that proposed change seems as I said without merit. Yes I would love transparency into proposed changes, hell maybe even a Developer AMA where they answer questions on Discord or the forums for those of us without ears. Im not calling out anyone specifically but some of the comments in this thread and some others I've seen lately there's been some pretty vicious posts lately on these forums and the crazy thing is it's among a lot of us forum vets that have been around for years. We're better than that folks. Much love.
  3. I don't think I have a mids build for it unfortunately.
  4. I have a demon/ea mm and it works really well as EA is perfect for keeping your pets healed and giving them an extra absorb layer of protection and more resistance. It plays kinda like a tree, when it roots in with faraday cage and you start cycling your heal/buffs the pets are very resilient. Given the nature of faraday cage, you may want to work in either provoke or fold space to bring mobs into you to fertilize the tree.
  5. I have a dm/elec defender that uses provoke to tank and lead the charge so to speak when I use it. It works really well for my needs. I imagine a corruptor version of it would work out. Mine leans into the debilitating attacks between end drain and -tohit, -regen it makes for a very survivable toon.
  6. I'll have to check if an illusion troller gets benefit of superior invis while also running shadow fall/steamy most and the player's teammates benefit from the weaker stealth aura. If it works like that it's a QoL improvement. That said I'm in the camp if someone wants to dedicate multiple power picks to stack stealth then so be it, even in PvP.
  7. Hear hear!
  8. Street Justice has a certain nice crunch to it's attacks, and works well enough. I like energy melee a ton, nothing quite like glowing energy pom poms of death. Ice melee is pretty good too as it's pretty proc friendly and you get extra mitigation knocking mobs on their asses and slowing them down. Fire melee is the only one that is pretty meh (it's one of my least favorite secondaries as the animations are kinda dated, it doesn't have any other interesting power interactions/mechanics, and other sets get better mileage).
  9. When CoV Beta came out I checked out each AT. I thought MM's we're clunky (this is before Sandolphan's numpad keybinds which I find required to play the AT), Brute's were fun, Stalkers we're great stealthing newspapers and for spiking multiple AS's on people for PvP that had horrible perception, Corruptors got me pretty stoked for a more offensive defender (I used to main a PvP empathy defender which I was a little bit notorious for kill stealing people), but my god Dominators were a work of art. Mezzes plus a mixture of ranged/melee DPS, it seemed like a great PvP AT for ruining Blaster's as this was before they could use the t1/t2 while mezzed, and while mezzed we're actually useful in PvP. I made several namely a grav/fire that I made for a theme and my fire/psy Domi and discovered that they worked really well running TV missions and farming up alts.
  10. ^This. I haven't made a stone armor brute, but play in on a Tanker that I think is more survivable outside of granite armor than in it solo. I also play a stone armor stalker. With the revisions to stone armor over the last year or so, it's pretty easy to make a very resilient toon without relying on granite. My tanker has it just for nostalgia. I would honestly look to designing a Brute to not use Granite as the -recharge and -damage are counter to the overall design of the AT.
  11. Incidentally I have a Dark/Invulnerability Sentinel that I never really have used. It gets decent survivability but the damage was paltry.
  12. Sentinel and Blaster should be together. Let MM's have their time to shine.
  13. I have several defenders that work great in task forces either solo or on teams: TA/DP Poison/Rad Kin/Sonic DM/Elec Rad/Sonic I think the big thing with them is you want them to have some means of debuffing and breaking the AV's Regen.
  14. You'll likely have several attacks regardless if they are optimal for dos rotations that you use situationally and for chasing set bonuses.
  15. I was doing a respec for the 10,000th or so time yesterday and it dawned on me, why can't we establish a powertray.txt that we can save as a character option for how to sort out powers. That way whenever you do a respec or such your powers would automatically go to the correct tray slot and you'd be good to go assuming you slotted the enhancements that you wanted to. Literally every character I have always has hasten in the same tray slot, same with build up, and I organize my attacks by single target rotation, AoE rotation, and such. I'm not sure how difficult this may be to implement but I can't think of a reasonable reason why someone wouldn't want to have this as an option. Thoughts? As always much love.
  16. 1. Open with Flash Arrow. It ensures your survivability. From there if they are clustered, root them in place, seed, and drop in disruption arrow, PGA, Acid Arrow, Creepers, OSA and ignite it. Ice arrow hard targets. 2. Creepers are great, but OSA is a huge DPS increase. Having both you can achieve enough damage to out damage some blasters. Because of both Creepers and OSA, this combo requires a lot of recharge. 3. You do not need Entangle. And yes aice Arrow should be proced out. You want Strangler, as you can stack the hold mag with ice arrow to help hold AV's. 4. Yes your controls will inhibit mobs from being able to attack each other, but regardless a mob trying to attack itself isn't attacking you. It's a great mitigation tool. Otherwise you can open with seeds on a 2nd group to weaken them before otherwise engaging. 5. The Fly Trap has your entangle to bring down fliers, and it has a couple of attacks which further reduce mob defense by 20%. It's useful. I play one named Nightshade Mantis on Everlasting.
  17. On Rad Armor I always like to proc out Rad Therapy and Ground Zero to make them 2 mini nukes. With Dual Blades you want enough global recharge to make a chain out of Blinding Feint, Ablating Strike, Vengeful Strike, Sweeping Strike. Rinse and Repeat.
  18. @Snarkywas just contemplating rolling a sentinel so maybe he actually did. That said I really dug the old school brute/fury, actually scaling to 775% damage, able to get there solo, but limited by their survivability, endurance, and mob density. I was like the Kool-Aid man knocking down walls and getting people hopped up on flavored sugar water as I smashed and smashed.
  19. As someone who trains in MMA (Tang Soo Do, Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, and Boxing) 3-4x a week, I can definitely support this request. I wear Venum Elite Shinguards with Instep Protectors over bare feet when I train.
  20. Lich? Maybe too far of a progression but Necro/Dark MM is actually pretty fun.
  21. Kheldians exist.
  22. I have an 50 Stone Armor Stalker as well. its probably my sturdiest stalker. I once solo'd a +2x8 synapse tf, and turned hide off in a fight and went to make a sandwich. my toon was still alive when i got back from eating it.
  23. That build is for an ice/cold corruptor.
  24. Cold gives decent defense, you need a lot of stacked defense. It also increases max hp. It refills endurance, and has pretty decent debuffing. Personally I like my ice/dark/dark corruptor for most content, but for 4star hard mode I think cold has more use. That said I was contemplating running the numbers on a potential sonic/cold, but to me it almost feels criminal to have a Corruptor with no rain power, but -res would be useful too and the devs just tweaked sonic blast with i4.
  25. Try Stone Armor if you haven't, its a pretty good powerset. I made one I really like paired with radiation melee that works really well.
