  1. Yeah read through that subforum. There are tri-form and human only builds. There are cheaper and all-out purple/winter IO money is no object builds. I'm partial to the one I posted of course, uses ATOs but no purple/Winters but I often get compliments on teams so i must do alright.
  2. I have an ICE/RAD that works wonderfully in that situation. She is also hovering 100% if the time unless she's dead or needs to spawn an Ouro portal. I think /rad as a PBAOE as the final power but I didn't take, don't miss it, it's an "oh sh!t" that I have no use for. I completed the build a while back and I don't have it handy, but it has high Range and AoE defense and much lower melee defense, another once you've to stay at range. Perma Hasten, Perma RA, it kicks butt. The best compliment I got is when I joined a team and after a few groups someone asked why they turned the difficulty down. The team leader pointed out that she didn't, everything was just getting killed twice as fast since I joined the team. Felt pretty good, especially in a world where it seems everyone thinks it's all about Fire (I have one of those too, but he is /time and thrive sticking to the tank in the middle of the pack)
  3. Yeah I was going to suggest you look it up in Pine's It's great if you put it in a click power (that slots to-hit buff), but I don't recommend to out it into something like Tactics where it will fire off randomly, which to me seems to be right after I killed the last mob. It's especially great if you have a power that you use as an opener, like Aim where you get a chance to get both the buff from Aim and Buildup.
  4. Agreed, if you use Purples/ATOs/WIOs it's super easy to cap res, resist, get tons of rchg and some other goodies. No "expensive" IOs was a constraint I put on the build and was reacting to a prior "cheap" posted in this thread. I think you can make a build that is safe and quite fast at 8x+4 without those expensive sets. Of course the line of what is expensive can get fuzzy. Is the Panacea Proc inexpensive? I can check with Incarnates but I think I couldn't get top 45% without Purples/ATO/WIO if I didn't take either combat jump or stealth or maneuvers and actually turn them on (stealth/cj add 1.88% base and 3.34% slotted). You can't take Concealment if you already take fighting, jumping, leadership and speed. I will look at whether I can get to 45% with the help of incarnates.
  5. I changed the build again. I don't like being partially invisible and End cost of Stealth is uncessarily high. Also 1/2 of stealth is suppressed when attacked/attacking and I want doing the math wrong in Pine's. SoI went back to Combat jump. That means I need to use Vengeance for my extrq LoTG slot. I experimented eot Tactics, and once Level Shifted I didn't see any significant misses, the bonus + kismet seem to be sufficient. So I'm trying assault instead. Looks like 10% damage buff I now have all my incarnates at T3. Really easy to get there, I had more than enough threads so build common and uncommon components and I used empyrean merits to build the rare. I don't know if I could get to T4 with what I have now, I want to play with the T3s for a while first. Incarnates make a HUGE difference, I could do without Consume although it's a nice safety blanket. I use Healing Flames a lot less than I used to, so I'm ready to start looking into macros that will convert all insps to Damage (this is where assault might be redundant, may be useful on a team when you get less drops) I took the Seers Lore pets with the invulnerable one that grants Fortitude but the recharge time is so long I don't think they are that useful on a farmer. I'll play with it some more before I post anything and may eventually try a purples/WIO'd build for fun, but this is definitely not necessary. I have 3 alts in line for purples first. As an aside I ran the Market Crash TF to get my free purple and Notice of the Well for when I decide to go T4 Alpha. While my build is not optimized for anything but Fire, I did quite well, although I think I would slot a KB resistance somewhere (I think prestige runs will take it) or just get the relevant shield. It was a lot less painful that soloing the Black Scorpion arc (those damn sappers)
  6. I wouldn't mind seeing a claws/fire build. I started one from lvl 1 and was trying to build with SOs only but he can only handle x8+2 that way so eventually I intend to IO him out.
  7. That is very good build for the money. I'm not sure why you would go "no alpha" though/ It's easy enough to get to Agility T3 and you get extra defense so you don't have to quite make it to 45% without it. Also extra end reduction. But mostly once you have a level shift, you're only fighting +3 foes, so killing faster and getting less damage, and getting the same rewards as +4 For comparison here is my build. I don't know how to calculate the effect of the Panacea proc (expensive) but you can replace it with a Regenerative Tissue +regen and it gets you to 216% regen, but I believe Panacea is better? 8. Does it help with bosses? I started farming this weekend to try something different, and I find the only times my health gets in the red and I need to heal is when all the minions and LTs melted but I am now surrounded with a large number of bosses with varying level of health (I don't finish bosses before moving on, I run to the next group so eventually I'm trailing many bosses even though they die over time) I'm running a cheap build so my self heal recharge can sometime come just a little bit late for my taste if a couple bosses get a lucky shot through that 44.2% def and 90% res. I went from lvl7 to 50 over the weekend but not incarnate yet, maybe it'll be a moot point with the the incarnate shift reducing the amount of damage (and bringing me to 45+%) but I was planning on taking Reactive until I saw that thread and now I'm confused :)
  9. Hmmm, I think thye do on my scrapper, but I'd have to check. Feels like they help, but hard to say when you one-shot any minion in range.
  10. It's been mostly covered, but as the proud owner of a Fire/Time and an Ice/Rad corruptors, is that it's not worth bickering between the two. they are both awesome, it's just that Ice is often relegated to the cliche of "it's better for single target". I have been on a campaign to dispell that idea. Ice is also great for AoE, although Fire gets 3 (Fireball, Rain Of Fire and Inferno) and Ice has 2 (Ice Sotm and Blizzard). Ice feels like it animates slightly faster, at least it feels that way even though I haven't looked at the numbers. I love that Blizzard knocks the enemies about, making it a much more survivable set when solo (gives me time to fire off /rad toggles). I also love the fact that ICE doesn't have a snipe where you have to worry about Interrupt, and it has 2 holds. In fact When I switch from my Ice/Rad to Fire/Time solo, I alwyas miss the holds at first, even though /Time offers other mitigation tools. At least with proper power selection and slotting you can make the fire snipe but Insta, otherwise I'd likely not take it. and yes, kin... /kin can be a high maintenance set in a team, taking away from your own beating up stuff. But if you team and don't buff your teammate, then shame on you, you're not contrinuting to the team to the best of your potential. Maybe I'm remembering wrong (it's been 7 years) but doesnt Fulcrum Shift work best when you are in melee range becuase you get a multiplying effect from being close to multiple foes? I remember my Fire/Kin Controller going into melee range with hotfeet and using the stun I think to get in safely (I need ot make another one of those!). Blizzard would definitely be a great opener to get in melee range safely on a corruptor.
  11. Just curious that's your favorite map to farm with this build? I am really trying to take my time with this character (that means I won't do things like MSR raids that level you too fast with uninteresting content, I'll use another character for that). So having it the best it can be before 50 was important enough to spend money on "levelling only" sets. I think I put a lot of Positrons sets on this build while leveling, they are relatively cheap (less that 2 million per piece) so compared to the rest of the build, a drop in the bucket. When I get to 50 I will Respec and remove them and either sell them back or keep them for another character. Respecs are not as precious as they used to and I need to Respec out of Tactics as suggested earlier in the thread anyway one I hit 50. .
  12. So I decided to take a patron pool on a couple of my heroes this week so I talked to the gills and went red side on several characters. I forgot how an outing it can be to get around the rogue isles, especially on a super speeder. More angles and stuff to get caught into (like those darn torches on Oranbega blue side). But much more vertical movement. For awhile couldn't find the SG base in Grandville, because it's high up on a roof. Yes you can use jetpacks and whatever, but I never have to worry about that blue side.
  13. I have the same work problem and earlier in this thread someone made an installer that installs anywhere but I don't know if it's updated every time the main one is. I really would like an automatic web update to pick up the latest.
  14. Hasten itself has a small "crash" doesn't it? Like you loose 20% endurance?
  15. Great idea. Maybe some day I'll participate. I have what I think is a great punk costume, but I don't get off work on time to participate. Maybe we should have a forum based costume contest :)
  16. Does it autoupdate when a new one is posted or do I have to keep checking?
  17. It was bugging me so I searched better and found the instructions I followed that didn't seem to work for me: FYI, you can fix the Kheldian forms not working with incarnate and auto powers in Mids/Pine's planner by doing: Options -> Advanced -> Database Editor Click Main Database Editor. Click Warshade_Defensive on the left. Click Black Dwarf on the right and click Edit. Go to the Mutual Exclusivity tab. Check the "Skip Mutual Exclusivity for this power" and uncheck "Auto-Detoggle other powers." Save and close the Database Editor, remove the Dwarf Form from the build and put it back in.
  18. I didn't read the thread before answering but I wish there was an "all of the above". Funny, I hadn't thought about Morality until someone asked me if I wanted to join an RSF and I had to visit the gull and felt "weird" about going "bad" and picked Vigilante instead of the "more bad" choices :) I do have one villain (and 8 heroes and now one Vig). I also have one hero that is Darth Vader themed and that I was planning on taking across the line as part of his persona. Now that I have a Vigilante I do like the convenience of being able to do both and will likely "corrupt" my main too, but I generally find the content not as engaging.
  19. Maybe you fixed it already but I know when I was trying to plan my warshade, I couldn't enter the knocback to knockdown IO (the KD set one, I think the Universal Damage was available but is unique and was being used in another power)
  20. I just noticed that when you import it into Pine's it shows an empty slot in Quasar. I assume it's for a KB-->KD IO that Pine's doesn;t seem to know about? As I said arlier I'm considering building this as the alternate build for my Tri-Form, not sure if I want to use hte version that doesn;t rely on incarnates, but I suspect yes (incarnates don't uatomatically swap when you go to the alternate build do they?)
  21. I have been wooking on the assumption that mixing attuned and non-attuned IOs in a power still gives you the bonus set. Just wanted to double check. Some IOs I built myself and didn't want to go through the market and associated fee to attune them.
  22. what AT? Can you explain what you see in each and why you are stuck?
  23. That's what I did but for sharing a build now you have to explain that things need to be reordered or it could affect performance in the 40s. I can't remember what the Kheldian issue was and I couldn't locate that thread. Something about mutual exclusivity of enhancements or powers between forms.
  24. What secondaries do you think have good synergiees? I rolled a staff/Elec Brute (lvl13 or something like that ATM) but I'm thinking about rerolling as a stalker since I've never tried one even back in the day. I need a secondary that has little effect in costume for this one, so either an option to do minimal effects or one is that naturally discrete.
  25. If you get "similar" sets to the purples while leveling then I would definitely get incarnates first, at least on this build where they do add a lot
