  1. In mids centrioles (Hami dam/range) also work. I haven't actually tested that the increased range does in fact work but it feels like it has increased range. Would be easy enough to check on test server though.
  2. Ya, I find the sandman proc to be garbage in my ice stalker. I'll add to this that I frankenslot Frost so I can fit the two dam/range IOs in there and boost them to +5, which if I remember correctly without mids bumps it to 14ft range. I also use Frost in the single target rotation because I've got the -res proc in there and frozen fists is pretty weak. On AS, I do mostly proc builds, so I slot the Acc/dam, Acc/dam/end/rech and the chance to hide from the stalker set to get the defense bonus with as little recharge slotting as possible and rely on global recharge bonuses. This doesn't work well if you don't have lots of global recharge, but if you do it allows for more procs and a better proc rate.
  3. I do for sure. The largest amount of +dam from it is in the first ten seconds, so I like to pop down, inner light > nuke or photons and then go back to Nova.
  4. Welcome to khelddom, Tonio. There is such a thing as taking one extra form; we call it bi-form. Unless you're power leveling to 50, taking the forms is going to help your leveling quite a bit, as you get a full AoE rotation at 6 with Nova and a survival shell at 20 with Dwarf, but it isn't required to function. If you don't take the forms you will probably notice your AoE is lacking until you get to 50 and build out an IO build (even then I couldnt stand not having Nova). You don't have to do the binds if you want to click the powers instead, as shifting to a form adds a temporary power tray (which can also be turned off if you don't like it). Binds are there to make life easier; if they cause you consternation, skip em. If you've already read through the guides, best bet is probably to skim Redlynne's leveling topic (if the wall of text doesn't crit you), and when you get ready to really invest in Uber builds check out Doom's builds also posted in here. You can get ideas from those and ask follow ups here or post tentative builds for people to help you with.
  5. This is fantastic. Question, is it possible to apply this to non-Mastermind pets that are also range-only? I'm thinking specifically of Warshade pets which like to kamikaze all the time, but there are probably some others. Edit: Another example, the Mu patron pet is another completely ranged pet who should probably not fly right in the face of what it is attacking.
  6. Ha, I love that! I would definitely go Spiritual on a Warshade, especially a TriForm. The recharge is just all important for a shade and helps every major power. You're going to be able to cap your own damage and resistance, and have infinite endurance and health so get as much recharge as you can. It also happens to boost your heals, as a side benefit. If you were going human and trying to build up some defenses Agility might be a good option (though the benefit to defense is smallish), but you can't leverage that as tri. For the other incarnates, the only one I would definitely recommend for a shade above the rest is Clarion destiny. Gives you permanent mez protection you can't get otherwise outside of sitting in dwarf for the rest of your life or constantly creating break frees.
  7. Oh! You had the inherent bonus set for multiple teammates... That makes sense. I was wondering how you get it so high but didn't dig 😊
  8. Hi dinatar, welcome to the Kheld forums! I can see what you're trying to do with your build and it's not bad, I'll just give you a couple pointers. First, you did an excellent job with your psi resistance... actually too good 😉 It says 108.75% psi resistance. Anything past 85% is actually not going to help you, so I would reduce your psi resistance to 85%. Second, you could also use enhacement boosters on your Recharge IOs in Hasten and only need to use two Recharge IOs there instead of three, which will save you a slot. Third, while you might want the bonuses from Sudden Acceleration, the set does not boost the damage of Solar Flare and Photon Seekers to max, which those really need damage especially since they are really strong AoE powers. Fourth, if you remove two of the Recharge IOs from Light Form you still have permanent Light Form, so I'd do something else with those slots. Anything else I would tell you is just personal preference. I personally don't like to go without Nova, because the Human AoEs just don't feel like enough for me. I also like to build a good amount of defense to layer on top of light form for extra survival. I can get very high defense, but I end up not slotting much psi resistance. There's also the route of trying to focus on procs to increase damage, which is a totally different style of build. Whichever you choose, good luck! Glad you are enjoying your PB.
  9. The way I approach it is if the combo goes off it's a nice bonus, but I don't get caught up in them, because there will always be misses. And generally at high enough recharge levels trying to get the combo instead of just using the next best attack is going to hurt your dps anyway. Sweep just happens to work with the best attacks in the set, so I use that one regularly, and if it misses I've still used the best attacks in the set. Combos are more helpful at lower levels, or fun if you're trying to get an extra effect. DB does such good damage without them it's best not to sweat it.
  10. Sure. This is what I used for pylon testing, with a couple extra -kb ios in various places because pylons are jerks. Running AS > AB > SS > PS gets around 450 dps. At some point when I did the pylon tests I changed up the chain somehow and started to get between 450 and 531. Problem is I didn't write down the difference, just marked that I changed something, and I can't remember what it was... If I figure it out I'll let you know. Edit: Other incarnates I used were Ageless Core, Degen Core, Assault Core, but none of those are strictly necessary for the build to work.
  11. This is one reason I actually do take the crashing tier 9 power in electric armor. You have to be careful with the timing, but it allows you to fill that one hole it has for the rare scenarios you need it.
  12. It's definitely worth proccing. Of all the proc based stalkers I've made, db came out on top. I used Power Slice instead of Nimble though, and I don't remember why... It also does surprisingly some of the best AoE with just the two AoEs it has and the sweep combo. The downside I would say is that you have to wait a long time to get any AoE other than the sweep combo, and that is really not enough AoE to rely on. If you're willing to wait until you get Sweeping Strike at 26 it is a great set. My tip is in AoE situations you should hold off on using AS/Ablating if Buildup is not recharged because it may pop with the Guile proc and give you an instant Sweep combo ready to go. Also, just ignore Empower/Placate; it isn't worth it.
  13. I made an Ice/Fire/Ice blaster, inspired by Dan Petro's build much earlier in this thread. I did it a little differently by going with Ice epic, which gives me hibernate and hoarfrost to stack on the defense. Still softcapped to s/l/e/n, but trades for f/c resistance and the hitpoints/heals. The slot crunch on blasters is real... T4 Musc Core, Degen Core, Ageless Core, Pyronic Core, Assault Core (not toggled): 1:43 1:54 1:36 1:50 1:41 I like it 😎 Against 54 Rikti it does fine, but the mez is annoying and can cause death because it locks me out of hoarfrost/hibernate. I would probably switch to Clarion core or carry trays of break frees.
  14. For Electric Armor I'm more concerned about getting the 5% s/l defense bonus twice over to get closer to the softcap there. Also, slotting the recharge enhancing ones will lower the proc rate for Hidden because of how PPMs work. I would rely on Lightning Reflexes, Hasten and global bonuses as they don't hurt proc rates. That's in a final build though; leveling up, do whatever seems most expedient.
  15. The hide proc always goes in AS so that another attack can't cause you to switch back to slow AS on accident, and because it has a high proc rate there. I generally split the the rest of the set in half, especially on a resistance based stalker to double up on the defense bonus. Lately I build proc builds, so I put the Acc/Dam and the quad in AS with the proc, and the rest of the set in your case probably in lightning rod.
  16. I'm really enjoying the whole convo for this reason. I'm not even a tank player, but the measuring contest is resulting directly in new info to me. I'll just insert while I'm here that I'm a massive Electric armor fanboi. While you can't do both capped defense to all and capped resistance like you can with some others, you are protected from end drain completely, and resist slows as well. You can softcap s/l, which realistically covers so much since very few things don't have a s/l component, and get +rech and unlimited end which allow you to increase your damage output. Really though, the end drain protect is a gigantic boon when you do happen to need it. Rad is also good, as well as ice.
  17. Not sure, but either way the missions should be available to you in Oro, they'll just exemp you to the appropriate level.
  18. Other than adding the damage IOs I didn't make any other changes. My initial premise was to just screw damage bonus and go all in on procs instead of trying to fight upstream against the granite debuff and hope the proc damage netted me better since it wouldn't be starting from behind. I ended up with musculature and hybrid assault just because I saw notbing else I thought would help all that much. I could technically fit Leadership Assault in as well, which at this point there is no reason not to. Edit: build with the +5 damage IOs. Last slot could be Assault.
  19. Indeed, it seems to be a wash. Which means adding another damage IO should end up dropping dps because you would start to smack at ED. Did 3 more runs at lunch time (still with the +5 damage IOs): 3:55 3:52 4:17
  20. Ok, I tried replacing a proc in each of the powers I had no damage enhancement in with a 50 IO damage and got these times: 4:23 4:41 I then +5d all of those damage IOs and got these times: 3:43 3:48 So with the +5s it could be very marginally better. That difference between the 50s and 50+5s seems pretty big... 2 tests per is probably not enough but I have to call it a night.
  21. Here's a comparison data point. I made a Stone/Rad tank inspired by this. Went completely proc on it, avoiding damage enhancement entirely (figured it was pointless because rad doesn't have have rage to counter granite's debuff so I went all-in on the alternate damage source), with the exception that I still used Musculature core. I figured this would not be hurt so much by granite's -rech also as contaminated turns your single target attacks into pseudo-aoes. Turned into 256 dps (one run, so would need more testing). A touch slower than the SS, but against 54 rikti mobs it absolutely melted all the non-bosses with the combination of mud pots, irradiated ground, and contamination. Really enjoyable. EDIT: Swapped in gloom and added gaussian to fusion instead of conserve power/physical perfection and got the below times 4:10 281 3:55 291 3:47 297 3:49 295
  22. I tried a fire/elec proc stalker with Waterspout and the same incarnates as all the others just to see what would happen, not great: 2:43 363 2:38 370 3:01 340 2:50 353 2:37 372 2:48 356 Then I broke my rule and tried a psi/elec proc stalker (only has one AoE) because I kept reading people talking about how good psi was: 2:42 364 2:30 383 2:58 343 So ya, these two are the worst I've tested for stalkers when it comes to proc builds. I also tested out nin/elec procced, using the same build as the bs/elec I had done before. Note this one has Moonbeam instead of the normal Waterspout: (forgot to turn on Assault) 2:05 435 1:47 486 1:39 515 1:54 464 (turned on Assault) 2:03 440 1:40 511 1:50 476 (tried without using Moonbeam and no Assault, for kicks) 2:12 418 Lastly, I retried elec/elec with Moonbeam instead of Waterspout and got some slightly better times. Unfortunately I didn't write those down, so I'll have to redo it again later. I think the lower end sets will probably benefit from swapping in Moonbeam, but not sure on the sets that are already doing higher dps with their primary attacks alone. Staff and Spines may also not benefit much from it as they already have a power to slot ranged sets in.
  23. Nova and Dwarf. Just kidding. How's your def? Might grab maneuvers and another def power. Assault is not bad, but I find tactics largely superfluous with inner light.
  24. The pop-up tray didn't exist at shutdown, so guides from before homecoming won't have that. For the rest, it's mostly preference.
