I agree. 1) The story IS good. 2) This is an AWESOME guide. While you have my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation, may I be so bold as to ask if you could do a Red side guide. I have a lot of red side toons and the story is also good, dare I say better, than blue side. I just have a sinking feeling that I've missed a lot of content. (I don't power level the toons that I really like).

Also, purple sets can only be slotted by level 50 toons. But you said she was able to slot one in already, just not the other one. Apocalypse is Ranged Damage category. so she can only slot it in powers that allow that kind of IOs to be slotted (i.e. can't slot it in Melee or Targetted AoE powers). If she's trying to slot it in the same power, it shouldn't be an issue. Unless it's the same IO. As a set, you can only have one of each set piece in a power at the most. And as CJ said, Purples are unique, meaning you can only have 1 of each set piece in any given power per toon.

Like with any AT, the Stalker is not the end-all. I enjoy them a lot, depending on certain moods and style of play that I want. Hella fun and way cool. Can you solo with them, of course. They're one of the highest crit-dealing damage dishers out there. But also keep in mind that you can solo with practically any AT depending on your build. Speaking of builds, IOs are almost unnecessary until mid 20s. some may argue they're not necessary at all, but they do help. Can you expect some difficulties along the way? Yes, do. You're primary asset is your stealth and sneakiness. there will be maps and missions that will take that away from you. Rikti drones can sense you no matter how high your stealth is. Some bosses will also sniff you out. And while you deal incredible destruction in a swipe, it will be easy to get overwhelmed with numbers. There will be defeat all missions, but these are doable if you're patient and take the time to apply some strategy to attacks. Then there are the escort missions which also force you to turn off your stealth, which sucks for a stalker. (stalker no stalking) Some maps/missions, even on -1/x1, will spawn a big enough mob that may be too much for you to handle (and not on -1) game's tricky like that. this is when the MMO part of the game comes into play. teaming up with even just another person (doesn't need to be a full 8-man team) will benefit you greatly. You and your teammate are greater than the sum of your parts. 😃 If you enjoy your Stalker, stick with him. build him up right, experiment. most of all have fun and enjoy.

Nope. Tailors are a vocational occupation. They would need to go through years of pre-med, med school, specialisation, and pass the licensure exam to become practising surgeons. But seriously, why would you need to? In every tailor, there's a surgeon. Just go to the surgeon. The only ones that can't change your height/body type are the Trainers.

I don't think so. You have to take into consideration that we are viewing his world as third person omnipotent. so we know and see things that most characters don't. In Justice League War animated film, Hal Jordan thought that The Batman was a myth. Then he found out he WAS just a guy in a costume. And that's a Green Lantern. In another old comic book (Legends of the Dark Knight #74: Engines), there was a part where the writer did not use the third person omnipotent POV. Instead he recounted what an average bystander saw which went something like... (and don't quote me on this) He (bats) appeared out of thin air -- bats lands on the hood of the car as it passed the shadow of a building/bridge... so one panel he wasn't there, the next he was. and sparks flew out of his hands -- panel shows bats throwing caltrops in front of a car to slash the tires, as the caltrops reflect the headlights.

You can. you have to talk to the Cosmetic Surgeon (Icon) or Facemaker, and not the hired help up front. You can even change body type/Gender the same way.

All glowy bits go away below a certain setting. I'm guessing that's how settings work. If you still want the glowy bits, you can fiddle with the different settings so that you get a fairly decent rendition while your processor/graphics card can still breathe. there're quite a few you can play with. try to find the right balance between frame rate lag vs display quality. every computer will have diff thresholds.

I think this is an old dialog box that has not yet been updated. Ephram's (and Maharaj -- redside version) will give you 10 threads, 2 merits, and super insps every 20 hours. So if you do 4 missions for him within the 20 hours, your 4th mission will not earn you any reward (other than the random drops). Note that to get the super insp rewards, you have to have space in your tray.

Y'all know it's all a Nemesis plot within a Nemesis plot, right? It's meant to stress test the servers for "something big" the devs are planning. (remember the Zombie Hollween event?) And it doesn't even come close to the lag-fest that is the Mother Ship Raid or the other iTrials, which by the way are beautifully organised by League leaders. Is it just me, or have I been lucky to be in good Leagues during Nemi visits?

what doesn't stack? If you were quoting me, I was talking about how Sent recharge helps with the overall damage output as compared to blasters/corruptors.

Forgot to add: take part or even just lurk in the AT-Optin discussions or AT Build General in discord. You can pick up a lot of knowledge from other players who also want to improve.

I would suggest not power levelling. higher level doesn't equate to better. Yes you have more powers at your disposal, but they will be no good if you don't know how to use them. I sometimes take time off and duck into an AE farm with a Brute Farmer. this is because it's a controlled environment. there are mobs, he draws aggro, I'm free to test out my build with elements I can control. I usually do this when I'm not sure how a certain power should be used or how it fits in an attack chain. when I'm comfortable with the moves, then I take it on missions and story arcs or join teams. Solo a lot. Don't get me wrong, I love playing in teams. but before you can contribute to the team, you have to familiarise yourself with what your toon can do. know your strengths and weaknesses/limitations. this will also give you an idea for your own play style. If you don't know your toon's potential, you won't be any good in teams. Others' builds are just guides. To others (the ones that made them) they probably worked really well, hence the enthusiasm to share their builds. But they may not be for you. Use them as a start off point -- more of to understand why they did this and that. then craft your own build according to what you need/want. Sounds cryptic, but this mostly pertains to IOs and sets. I choose set bonuses to either add to what my character is good at and fill in what he's missing. on my more favourite toons, I have two builds, one for soloing and one for teaming. That said, just have fun. nobody really minds if you're not dishing out x dps or have x smashing/lethal def. It's how you handle what you've got. If you enjoy your toon, then those you play with will enjoy being around you and you'll start building a reputation for yourself both per toon and global.

Luckily, on a mac this doesn't apply. I use VLC to playback .ogg files and they play at a reasonable volume even when speaker volumes are maxed (note: you can further raise the volume to 200% with VLC, I have it on 120% for movies). the files I've downloaded from you play the same volume in VLC (at 100%) as they do in-game at default setting. 😃 Incidentally, for the elec sfx, could you point me to which files are for (sentinel) charged bolts, lightning bolt, zapping bolt, thunderous blast? I might duplicate the one you used for charged bolts for all 4 since it has a nice thunder crack to it compared to the others. 😃

Hey SV. That's going to be tough because I really really like the original music, especially on headphones. And sadly, it would be an unfair comparison because since my dog chewed my headphones, I can only listen to it through tiny speakers. I am also quite familiar with sound design and sound production (even worked closely with foley artists); and I can appreciate the hard work and ingenuity you have put in to the mod. Again, awesome job.

Really, I've been looking for a Sonic SFX Mod, came across it, but the title made me dubious. I'll give a go. I like sonic, but the SFX just makes me turn the volume down. It's not as bad as standing next to Penny Yin and her pet, but it builds up steam.

Hi. I, too, run a Human only PB. Still learning the tri-form, but my brain is slow. here's a "basic" guide that I got from Magnificent Mumbo from the AT-Opt in channel in Discord. I didn't follow it exactly on my build, since he uses a lot f purple sets which I can't afford at the moment. But more or less, as he said, it should put you in the right path. And here's my build which is tailored to my play-style (didn't fit in the screen shot: Proton scatter - Achilles Heal def debuff, chance for -res) Sorry, I can only post screen shots since I don't have MIDs hope it helps

IIRC, Catalina doesn't use wine anymore, so I'm even less qualified to help you. Did you use the client installer specifically for Catalina? Check here in the forums for it. I remember they released a fixed one some time ago. You can go on Discord and try to contact GM AmonRa or EgyptoNerd (same guy). He's the resident guru for the mac. He helped me get mine running. According to him, it's usually a case by case basis and not a one size fits all fix. So message him directly on Discord and he'll help. His hours are kinda hard to pin, though.
