Solarverse's SFX Consolidated List of Mods
Six-Six replied to Solarverse's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
Hey SV. That's going to be tough because I really really like the original music, especially on headphones. And sadly, it would be an unfair comparison because since my dog chewed my headphones, I can only listen to it through tiny speakers. I am also quite familiar with sound design and sound production (even worked closely with foley artists); and I can appreciate the hard work and ingenuity you have put in to the mod. Again, awesome job. -
Solarverse's SFX Consolidated List of Mods

Judging from the many reserved slots, you have a lot planned. look forward to all of them. keep up the awesome work, Mr. Verse 😃 -
Hey. I just tried it and got it. I have Athalwolf (on hold for you) on Reunion. Just message me in-game (@Six-Six) so we can coordinate the transfer if you want it on Reunion. Hope it helps.

Really, I've been looking for a Sonic SFX Mod, came across it, but the title made me dubious. I'll give a go. I like sonic, but the SFX just makes me turn the volume down. It's not as bad as standing next to Penny Yin and her pet, but it builds up steam.

Looking for a Perma-Lightform Human Only Build
Six-Six replied to ParmieP's topic in Peacebringer & Warshade
Hi. I, too, run a Human only PB. Still learning the tri-form, but my brain is slow. here's a "basic" guide that I got from Magnificent Mumbo from the AT-Opt in channel in Discord. I didn't follow it exactly on my build, since he uses a lot f purple sets which I can't afford at the moment. But more or less, as he said, it should put you in the right path. And here's my build which is tailored to my play-style (didn't fit in the screen shot: Proton scatter - Achilles Heal def debuff, chance for -res) Sorry, I can only post screen shots since I don't have MIDs hope it helps -
I'm guessing it's for the quick and chunky heal But Lore pets can be what you want, you can even have more than one (only one at a time, though) here's the doc for their talents https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tmuk9Jf-NxhSE2P1RB6wRtn-qUDvwqpV_10B9QAAinE/edit#gid=0

IIRC, Catalina doesn't use wine anymore, so I'm even less qualified to help you. Did you use the client installer specifically for Catalina? Check here in the forums for it. I remember they released a fixed one some time ago. You can go on Discord and try to contact GM AmonRa or EgyptoNerd (same guy). He's the resident guru for the mac. He helped me get mine running. According to him, it's usually a case by case basis and not a one size fits all fix. So message him directly on Discord and he'll help. His hours are kinda hard to pin, though.

First off, click the close button (red) on the small window. What happens? 2) Are you running safe mode? It has been discontinued. You'll need to switch manifests and do a rescan to run 32bit or 64bit 3) Does Catalina still use wine?

Yes, painfully at low levels when there's nothing you can do about it. I've paired mine with SR and am glad I did. Now she's 50, hella stronk, and uber fun. Also, check out the BR SFX Mod from Solarverse here in the forums. I swear the SFX Mod makes her stronger. 😃

Another trick to teaming is to start your own. Usually there are a lot of people looking for a group, or more of looking for someone to start a group/team. If you start it, you can get the number of people you like (sometimes, I just run with one other person or a 4-man team, doesn't always have to be 8). Once you have your team, you can pass the star of leader ship to another person. Chances are, they've done the mission/TF on another toon. In any case, it's quite all right to fumble about as the leader. No one really minds as long as you're all having fun, earning XP, and getting new powers. 😃

Seeking new and interesting builds to try...
Six-Six replied to biostem's topic in General Discussion
I can attest to the fun factor of this. very satisfying even in the low levels. -
The players on all shards are very, very nice... compared to other mmos. The community is very helpful in-game as well as here on the forums and discord. If ever you've got a question, don't be afraid to ask either here, discord or the help channel in chat in-game. Go. Hunt. Kill Skulls.

what's wrong with cookies? ...which I have by the way... Come and get them while they're hot.

Thanks, Solarverse!

Hey! Welcome Home, as they say. It could be the time zones. peak hours seem to wax and wane every now and then. And with the quarantine in most countries, it has been more irregular (although I have seen a bigger population when signing in -- server capacity dots in the shard choice). I play in Reunion, and while the physical server is located in Germany, it is not limited to Europeans. English is still prevalent, although you do have specialised groups for French, German, Scandinavian, etc... Also, a lot of my AU and Asian friends play there since there is a wider intersect in terms of time-differences as opposed to US time. That said, you can transfer you character to Reunion or any other shard. You get IIRC 3 transfer tokens per week that refreshes every week. On finding groups, you're going to want to switch to the LFG (looking for group) channel in the chat menu. announcements are made there phrased like so: "Batman-lady: LFG L15+ Posi 2 TF 2/8 This translates to Batman-lady (player) is looking for a group of players with minimum level 15 to run the Positron 2 task force, and he already has 2 of the 8 players in his team. you will want to click on his toon name to send him a direct tell, or just in the LFG channel, to ask him for an invite to join the team. A lot of teams run task forces, but there are also quite a few mission runs where you help the leader get through his missions. The LFG channel is city-wide so you don't just need to be in a certain zone to get notifications. 😃 And while there are a lot of higher level teams, there are also a considerable number of lowbies starting out just like you. A lot of people, once they reach level 50 (and some before they even reach 50) create alts and start from level 1. My global is my username @Six-Six. Be happy to level up with you on Reunion.

Ooh, a lag-fest. 😃 Ran a few incarnate trials like Posi's stay off the green, Mothership, and the Magistrate with a league, since, yeah there are tonnes of people on now enough to form leagues. Awesome fun. the unavoidable lag was part of the fun. The league leaders took longer just trying to organise all of us than the actual run. 😃

Wow! Another awesome mod, my man. Thank you. Not particularly a Star Wars fan, but I have a couple of toons who will benefit from this. I do have a question, though. Is there a way to have this mod only active for certain toons? like not have it across the board. I also like the original SFX of DP. Here's my beam pistol guy who thanks you for it. Captain Cosmo

That clears up a lot. Thanks as always for the wisdom, Oldskool 😃

Hi guys, I've been hearing the min-maxing of defences and resistance a lot in here and on discord whenever builds are discussed. Honestly, I'm still quite unclear what they mean. As a noob to the game (just joined when it came back to HC, never played on Live), I may be in a unique position of having a fresh set of eyes. So after a rather steep, but very enjoyable learning curve, I do have a few 50s under my belt, most of them Sentinels. Through experimentation and mostly accidental circumstance, I have discovered that Sentinel defences are remarkably strong, insofar as to be very survivable with minimal slotting. So far, I have done this with SR, EA, and Rad. I only slot 2 IOs in each defensive toggle. one for res/def, the other for end -- also to get set bonuses of the IOs. occasionally, I would slot 4, but very seldom. Some secondaries focus primarily on def like SR, some on res, but most have both -- enough to not force you to pick the Fighting pool's Box-Tough-Weave combo. Some secondaries also have clickies for res, rec, regen (and def -- SR's master/practised brawler). All of them perform remarkably well even with minimal slotting. very survivable. Yes the HP bar will dip every now and then, but it's manageable. And no, I don't go running into the fray thinking I'm melee... only occasionally to fire off a nuke, or when I'm swarmed. But still I live. This in turn leaves a lot of slots available from attacks, which can now be allocated in order to up the damage, debuff, etc. --- That said, DP/Bio sounds like a very interesting and versatile combo. You now have two choices: Primary's swap ammo and Bio's adaptation. Setting both to do more damage will surely be noticeable; and I'm sure that at a certain level, end consumption is no longer a problem to necessitate efficient adaptation. Then you have the incarnates that can either complement (plug holes in) your build, or supplement (yet more damage). My /bio toon is still a lowbie currently, and if it wasn't for the aesthetics, I would definitely roll a DP/Bio. 😃
-
I discovered something recently. The Sentinel secondaries are hella stronk! You can slot them minimally with just one (though I prefer 2 for set bonuses). Moreover, they're even strong enough to not need Tough and Weave nor the added res from Leaping pool and Sorcery pool. This not only frees up a lot of slots for primaries which can help up your damage (which now comes close to Blasters)*, but also more unorthrodox power pool pics such as Presence and the bottom two of Leadership (Vengeance and Victory) -- which in turn will add more functionality to the AT during team play. - - - I voted change the Opp mechanic to a marked target one. This , too, will further bump up the importance of the AT in such instances like AV killing. Another point I read above is about the def/res debuff, which I think is largely underrated. At the same time, not all power sets share this "talent," as some will have almost all powers have some sort of buff/debuff, while others barely do. Again, this mechanic will be another point for making the Sentinel relevant in teams. (incidentally, a -regen or -max hp might be a good addition/change to some Sent powers). Honestly, when I play my Sents, I am sometimes wary to join teams. No team member ever said "wait, let me alt to a Sentinel". *on damage, the Sentinel's damage will always pale in comparison to Blasters and Corruptors. But factor in the generally faster recharge time of Sentinels, the end stat and effect can give Blasters and Corrs a run for their money. I don't have concrete numbers, though.

Suggestion: Remove limit of 4 Pool Power sets.
Six-Six replied to JumpingSpider's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I have toons that don't pick Epics. And toons that are just forced to pick from the 3rd pool. I, too, say nay. Rather, I would move to have more power pools in the third column. Make it a harder decision to choose. 😃 -
I get it. I get your sentiment. My two bits: It's valid and understandable. You created a toon or toons you're proud of; you're playing a game that you like; and you'd like for others to share your (obviously positive) experience via streaming. It can and will probably invoke interest in the game to invite others to try it out. All the while, it translates to a source of (I have no idea of the current rates) considerable income for you. You're having fun, earning, getting other people to play as well. Win-win. However, as legitimate as it is, it is rather one-sided. I'm apprehensive to use the word inconsiderate... maybe lacking empathy... whatever... You're only seeing your needs. It has been stated that there were precedents and certain circumstances that pushed such an embargo. If you can take a minute to see the situation from HC's point of view, maybe asking such a request or query would have been moot.
