  1. A lot of systems these days have an eye icon that you can press to unblock the password temporarily. That would be a good compromise between security and still being able to see what you are typing. At the very least warning the user that the caps lock is on. That one gets me more often than anything else due to where the indicator light is on my keyboard. (not in a conspicuous location)
  2. I'll post some pics and specs once I get it all together and working. It was a nightmare trying to get all of the components without paying obnoxious price gougers.
  3. Bumped another notch last night to #7 even though I lost several hours when I had taken my old PC offline to replace it. Got all the parts yesterday for the new PC. Assembled it, powered it up and the CPU was DOA. 😞 Now it won't be together till sometime Saturday. Super excited to get it going, it's a major upgrade over my 5 year old rig.
  4. Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice and Goosebumps. No??? Hmmm... Well then. Phantasm (1979) - Well ahead of it's time. Pet Semantary (1989) - For me it's just plain creepy. Ssssss (1973) - Gave me nightmares for years. Only movie to ever get to me.
  5. Couple of things that I noticed when testing this. 1. Error on starting that the Temp build that you are using during development isn't able to be found. Path not found. (obvious since my PC isn't your PC) 2. Clicking past that gets an Assertation failed message. 3. After doing an AI on my first test build, it won't let me run a second build. Unhandled Exception when selecting the AI from the menu. Positive Note: The AI did a decent job on the build I tried it on. Nice work!!!!
  6. I have a new PC on the way. I hadn't realized how old my PC was until the tablet I bought about the same time started having battery issues. 5 years old, time for a major upgrade. Should give me a major boost in ppd.
  7. I don't think it's because no one is interested. For myself, I took a look at your code. It's pretty awesome. I even tried to build it, but I am not a C# programmer so I didn't get very far. I am a one of those folks who need to touch the software to give feedback. Now that you have a built version, I'll play around with it. I really hope you don't give up. This is a fantastic project that would be extremely beneficial to folks who struggle with optimization.
  8. Which is probably at least as long as I have been using it.
  9. Now that I have everything working, I am getting some decent point gains. Should overtake the #10 spot tomorrow I think. Not sure how far up I can get past that though without upgrading some hardware.
  10. I spent yesterday after I posted doing some farming. Drops look like they are back to more or less what was normal before this whole "WTH is going on with the Yellows" thing. I am going with the theory that when they mucked around with the AE missions, they broke something in the way drops were handled.
  11. One of my pet peeves for missions. Objectives that are not clearly defined. I understand why they did this during initial development (they were following the Everquest model of play where everything was supposed to be EPIC and take forever to accomplish), but there is absolutely no reason it should still be this way.
  12. It will be interesting to watch and see if the market prices creep back up now. If so, then that would indicate someone or a group doing massive crafting efforts. If not, then it's still a mystery.
  13. Can confirm, this happens fairly randomly. My guess is the prompt is a single send from server side with no confirm that it was received by client. Hence if there are any network issues at all, you won't get it. Horrible way to do communications protocols, IMHO. If something is important like this, the program should always send and confirm.
  14. Here is a quick and dirty translate to Google Docs. I didn't spend a lot of time on it, just enough to get it somewhat formatted. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15N2Fske3jzKr3hjWuKL51KXWFSSW1cazWwkntseop2c/edit?usp=sharing
  15. Here is the merit list from GM Kai.
  16. Thank you for your opinion. Unfortunately it disagrees with actual real world experience. I have FaH installed on three other computers (all Windows 10 based) that all work fine and have the GPU.txt file in the folder. This computer when it installs would not install the GPU.txt and would not recognize the GPU even after manually adding it to the config until I put the GPU.txt file in the folder. I stand by my solution even if you disagree with it. Disagreement is not going to change how I got it to work however.
  17. Nope. GPU.txt wasn't anywhere to be found after the install. I had to manually put it there to get it to see the GPU. I tried a dozen other methods. This was the only one that worked.
  18. In case anyone else runs into this issue. It may have been caused by the latest Nvidia drivers. Solution at the link below. https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=80&t=34521#p327445
  19. It's been a week without getting one. "No work units available for this configuration."
  20. I haven't been playing much. I'll log in once in awhile and play for an hour or two. It;s not the same without a big group of friends who want to do task forces and other stuff.
  21. What @The Godchildsaid. You have to create certain recipes of certain levels. It is a pain trying to keep up with it all.
  22. That's where the meme originated. At the time I started using the avatar and it was popular I did technical support and I always wanted to be able to email customers back and tell them; "I have no idea what you just asked, but here's a picture of a bunny with a pancake on it's head." For the record, it wasn't me that emailed you. If you are interested (not likely that you are, but anywho); Oolong is the name of the rabbit. https://www.newstatesman.com/science-tech/internet/2017/11/living-meme-what-happened-bunny-pancake-its-head
  23. Smells like pancakes.. I'll have waffles.
