I had a similar issue a few weeks ago and had to update my Nvidia drivers. There was some odd interaction between COH, NvIdia, and Avast. Hope you get it fixed!

I'll happily join in if I am on at the right time and you guys are willing to have me. The idea of a superteam appeals to me and I had fun playing with you guys. But my playtime varies day-to-day depending on work and family. And I'm too impatient to wait a week without playing a character as I generally play one project all the way to 50+3 before starting something new.

I'm with Lemming. I hate respec-ing and will avoid it if I can. If the character plays well enough as is I will probably leave it alone. It also depends how much I play it. Like most of us, I am an altoholic and tend to make something new, play it to 50 +3 or more, then shelve it for the next project. I then may bring it out periodically to check sales and move day-jobs or if needed for a themed TF or to fill a certain role. But there are a few characters that end up getting more playtime for one reason or another. However, if I can use a few unslotters to replace one set of IOs for others, I will happily do that and store the leftovers for a future project. I never re-roll a character.

It's an odd power, but awesome! I didn't have it on the posted build because it pre-dates the changes to FF. Dampening Bubble is a combination of resistance to debuffs for your team and weakened debuffs for your enemies. So it's not that the enemies have their tohit dropped by 43% but rather, their ability to debuff you and your team is reduced by 43% and an additional 43% resistance to tohit debuff if the team member is inside the bubble! No worries! Everyone has different schedules and I had fun while I was there. When I returned from dinner, I got some buffs and soloed the Frostfire and got to 11 or 12. I'll probably play some more over the weekend.

I'll try to make it. I threw together a Mids build, taking into account that it would be a superteam, so less need to softcap and chase recharge as we will be boosting each other. But I also picked up Sorcery and Soul Mastery for some more protection and damage when solo.

Sorry, Wavicle, but this adds a lot of power creep without any counterbalance. No thanks, /unsigned, /J Ranger, /whatever the cool kids say these days.

Here's an older Water/Storm Corrupter that might give you some ideas. Not quite soft-capped, but lots of mitigation in slows, knocks, immobs, and a 200+ HP heal every 4 seconds that also does decent damage. Of course, anything that gets hit by hurricane will have its tohit debuffed to essentially make you over softcap to all positions and types. You can also Hibernate if things go really south. The defender ATOs will also add additional mitigation in the form of an AoE Heal proc and AoE Absorb proc and the higher mods on defenders will have you with higher defense numbers. You could certainly switch a power for Maneuvers to get to softcap. Clarion and Support incarnates boost your defense and debuffs. It's also stupid fun to see sharks swimming in the whirlpool!

Maybe: "If X/If Y" as in "Chance for +Absorb If health X/or If health Y" for the Preventive Medicine? But does it have to have an awkward name as long as the details give the correct info?

Anything we can do to help? Sorry, but no, it isn't. Some folks perhaps, but there are always those that want more. I understand the desire to have things on the forums and not on Discord. Believe me, I hate that thing and was really upset when they were doing the Weekly Discussions exclusively on the HC Discord. But this game has always had a Closed Beta and an Open Beta before anything is published in the live game. My understanding is that many games do the same. It certainly makes sense to try something in a smaller, restricted setting before releasing it to a much broader audience. And it's not just games that do this. Movies, books, even consumer products get reviewed, tested, and critiqued by a small audience prior to public display. It doesn't make sense for Coke to announce their new Pineapple-Rutabaga soda to the public before having some taste testers, focus groups, and test markets first. If Coke announced it and then decided to go a different way, some people would be disappointed that they didn't get to try it and others would be criticizing it before trying it. Closed Beta and Open Beta are taste testers, focus groups, and test markets. If you want to be one of those, join Bopper's Gold Standard Discord, engage in discussions, ask to join Closed Beta, actually test stuff, . . . and don't leak info about Pineapple-Rutabaga Coke!

I would add that you should also monitor the LFG (Looking for Group) channel in the game so that you can see folks (Like Oklahoman!) organize raids, trials, TFs, and other stuff. Welcome home.

I only play here, but I do occasionally look at other servers' forums or Discord. I have to admit that some of the changes taking place elsewhere sound like they would be fun. I haven't done the math and counted all the changes here vs Thunderspy or anywhere else. But I would still bet that our evolution of New Powers, TFs, Story Arcs, Base Stuff, etc. are equal to if not better than any other server. See Patch Notes (https://forums.homecomingservers.com/forum/58-patch-notes/) As GM Impervium stated, here the changes tend to come in big packages all at once instead of smaller weekly changes. I'm happy here but I'm also happy there are other places for folks to go.

I think this might be the issue. Not every build and not every player is set up to run +4/x8. Try running +1/x6 and then, if that becomes too easy ramp up to +1/x8, and then +2, etc. Alternatively, post the build you are having issues with in the appropriate AT subforum and ask for advice on how to improve it.
