I'd vouch for energy aura. Tankiest option by far, gives you free recharge and end management to help you proc more, so very good offense, too. If it's just between the listed secondaries, I would go shield. I don't really care for stone's visuals, nor do I think brimstone really amounts to much. Also, no taunt aura. Meanwhile, shield was fotm for a reason way back.

It's a duration buff on something that takes 15 seconds to grab if you port to a good base or the crucible. You're really choosing a weird hill to die on here.

Too much focus on nerfing something good that doesn't need to be touched when the real conversations should be about bringing up underperformers. Sentinels are garbage, controllers aren't needed on good teams, aoe holds have too many penalties for the modern game, brutes are a joke AT as it currently stands, as well as their ATOs, and the fact that kheldians are long overdue for a buff. But no, let's create more problems instead of solving existing ones.

Define end game. I have brutes and scrappers that can outclear blasters fairly easily, and in 4* content, corruptor stacking is much more the thing to do over stacking blasters. I think too many people think their opinions based off very little experience should dictate how the game is balanced. Also, not all sets are created equal. As funny as it would be to randomly nerf sonic into irrelevance (again). Nukes are fine, broaden your horizons and you'll learn that soon enough.

Doing an ouro arc marks you as a tf, and you can't get afk kicked when on a tf. Same for AE.

Not worth pursuing on a scrapper. No. 5 procs + overwhelming force. I'd make one an Achilles since it's a dot. Don't rely on it, but it helps. Tactics and build up. Other areas, but you can still get very high meltdown uptime. It's a massive buff to your damage, too.

@General Idiot Peacebringers have this, but it's weak and requires light form. Mez protection on one of the armor powers, at least, is definitely on most kheld's lists.

Why do you think they shouldn't? Where would you put them? Khelds need a buff, so do others, but we've been in line longer. Just saying 'nuh-uh' and listing off existing caps and scales is about as worthless of an argument as you can make. Scales don't matter if the powers they modify are undertuned.

It's hard to think of any scenario they could have been thinking of where it really made sense, still. Maybe fire brutes, but those are long dead now. Brutes were good at the role they filled by default since tanks were so bad, but by any objective metric scrappers, blasters and corruptors were a much stronger force on a team. Hell, some 4* comps still use scrappers over tanks and brutes. Probably some forum brain rot going on when they made that call.

They were indeed nerfed. But the reasoning was certainly not valid.

Objectively untrue, one might make the case for scrappers without the ATO, but we had that when the nerf went out. On such weak grounds, blasters, defenders and corruptors would have been hit well before brutes. Brutes were the best tank by default because tankers were much worse off, but it didn't take much to change the dynamic.
